In previous years Alex seemed uneasy and inconsistent. Its clear that he works his ass off, because for the last 4 years he has been on fire, dominating some of the best players ever.

Shane missing that 9 in the corner the second time when I expected him to make it. Man, that helped me mentally. The guy who runs the league I'm in thinks I have a lot of potential but says I have a problem with letting mistakes get to my head and I just don't recover mentally. I call it the "Earl Strickland syndrome".

Can you imagine this match played between Kazakis and Ralph Souquet? It'd take at least 8 hrs. Players like these are the hardest to beat without a clock, they'll put ya to sleep.
Why do they use that tape? as a rack holder? It disrupts the balls natural path, look at the 9 ball changing direction when going over the edge of it. Is this done on purpose?

You realize how human they are when kazakis goes and drinks water at the hill hill 9 ball shot in what a bar pool player would make chugging his beer with the left hand.
Most of the pros do it so they get a consistent feel regardless of the environmental conditions they face during matches. It might be hot or dry. It might get humid. It might be extra dusty. Over the many long hours they play during the day, chalk and dust and moisture builds up and makes the shaft feel different. The glove helps mitigate all that so the feel is the same every shot regardless of what’s going on with the weather that day.

@@diasspeed The joke is playing 9 ball to determine the best players. Straight pool is closer to Snooker for requiring the most skill. I think it's a lot easier going from snooker to pool than vice versa. Snooker is an entirely different game that is far more popular in the UK than the US.
