Becasue of the amount of comments and responses that have come from my Catholic brothers and sisters, I decided to make a video engaging in a dialogue especially about the Catholic Church. Watch it if you are interested in continuing the discussion. ruclips.net/video/-EEKhLVEWOU/видео.html
Try Lutheranism (LCMS, ELS, or WELS). I also wanted to get away from the rock and bebop as well as the informality, and I've found a home in the LCMS. Now I actually want to go to church on Sundays and feel bad if I miss. We are similar in appearance and forms to Catholicism, but without all of the Papal heresies and errors. I highly recommend you come and see it.
Was raised Muslim then was atheist then Protestant (anti Catholic) but found home in the Catholic faith in 2019. Husband and children all converted too!
Roman Catholic IS the original. The LYING KING TUDOR burnt down all the monasteries to show how NASTY he was. All he cared about was flighty women annd he didnt even like those so it WAS NOT EVEN WORTH BURNING DOWN THOSE MONESTRIES. What a STUPID KING. WHO COULD RESPECT ANY CHURCH BUILT ON THAT! They have more than proved they are the liars in THAT church. Any one STILL STANDING GOOD in his own Church is ALREADY IN DESPAIR or just "goes along" with all the other FAKE LIARS. A lot are in CULTS and work for NOT WHOM YOU THINK. When they open the pandoras box on that THERE WILL BE NO DOUBT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE ONLY ONE LEFT STANDING IN THE FAITH. (Even WITH problems....the Faithful ARE THEY who remained FAITHFUL.
Every Sunday when my priest lifts the Holy Host and says, "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world", while Church bells are ringing for the whole town to hear it and we are all down on our knees, my heart is full and I feel like I'm worshiping the true Creator of the whole universe.
I converted to Catholicism this Easter from atheism and was attracted precisely because of the reverence of the mass and the sacraments and how they acknowledge and worship The Triune God as the highest power. Jesus is in my mind and on my lips during much of my waking hours now. And guess how? Through the Rosary of the Blessed mother.
The Holy Rosary was a gift to St. Benedict from the Virgin Mary. Pray it every day. Our Lady's feet were prophesized to crush the head of the serpent, in Genesis 3. Demons and the devil hate the veneration of The Blessed Mother, their executioner. Deus Vult ⚔️
My husband and I converted to Catholicism 3 years ago after 55 years as Protestants and we are grateful beyond the ability to explain how wonderful it is to be experiencing the fullness of the faith and to live the sacramental life. Glory to Jesus Christ!
YOU ARE LEAVING A FALSE RELIGION TO GO TO ANOTHER FALSE RELIGION GO TO EVANGELICAL CHURCH RC DOCTRINES ARE INVENTED BY POPES ....FALSE TEACHERS .....ALL MARIAN DOCTRINES ARE INVENTED BY POPES..... BLASPHEMY
👍 The best decision you’ve ever made. But the church has its divisions that are very troublesome now. My advice is to stick to the catechism and the sacraments and don’t get too sucked into controversy..
I was an atheist for a very long time. It wasn’t until around Easter this year I became a Christian and accepted the Jesus Christ as my God, my Lord, and my Savior. Before that took place, my heart opened to God as I began to entertain and attempt to understand the teachings of Christ. This happened to a greater degree after I became I Christian. I realized that so much of what I thought I knew about Christianity was built on lies, misinformation, and misunderstanding. As my eyes were opened to the truth, I was humbled by the ever increasing realization of how little I truly knew. After mulling over what God had made me realize, there was another thing sitting on my heart. If I had been so mistaken about Christianity in general, how much more so have I been mistaken about Catholicism. I still love the Lord Jesus with all my heart and even now I’ve found more of it than I thought possible. However it was in learning about Catholicism that my faith in Jesus has grown. Now I’m going through RCIA and will become a Catholic this coming Easter. I plead for any of you who have read this if you think you know anything about the Christianity, Protestant or Catholic, please examine it more faithfully and humbly. Most importantly don’t go off of what someone else tells you that a group of people believe. May God lead us into all truth and through that to him for all eternity.
Can't wait to welcome you home to the Church Jesus founded. He promised the gates of hell will not prevail against it. He stayed true to that promise for over 2000 years. It is the oldest institution on earth and survived all the other empires. The Catholic Church is the biggest charitable institution in the world. It invented the school, the university, the hospital and the orphanage.
@@devintarr With respect, no one repents to a priest. The priest simply acts in persona Christi. But also in John 20:23 we can see Christ gives the power to the forgive or retain sins to the Apostles (the first Bishops of His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. And in James 5:16 we are told to confess our sins to one another. I'm not saying you can't and shouldn't repent outside the context of confession, but it is a sure way that Christ has given us to have our sins absolved without having to wonder if we are truly forgiven or not.
@@TJS483 Why don’t you try talking to Jesus, instead of bread and wine? He can hear you, if you pray to him in repentance first. Then, he’ll hear your every prayer.
@@CrusaderZealotsadly they want religion. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, “ I went searching for other religions because I wasn’t feeling anything, I didn’t feel masculine enough, feminine enough..” or “ I felt like I had to do more” it’s all about them feeling better. Some go to orthodox or Catholic Church because it seems like there’s more traditions involved and people get the wrong idea. They believe them doing all that makes it better because they feel better about themselves and their guilty conscious. Meanwhile they r missing the whole point of the gospel. There’s even people going towards Islam now. Because they feel as if it will help them become more disciplined.
@Hellonerds09 getting baptised is a religious ritual. Taking communion is a religious ritual. Jesus commanded us to do these things. Practice of religion is worship. Jesus established a Church and practices by which we were to properly worship God. If you reject the religion Christ gave you, then you reject Christ.
You're articulating EXACTLY how I feel. I've been a practicing Protestant my whole life (40 yo) but the past year I haven't been able to stomach the rock concerts and mediocre TED talk "sermons". That was the first domino for me, then I started reading about early church history and I began seeing the early church was Catholic, not in name but in the way they run their service & that Jesus Christ is in the Eucharist. So the past couple months I've been attending Catholic mass and it has been EXCELLENT! I'm in RCIA now to better understand the Catholic faith bc I believe it really is the true Church! Praying for you!
The early church was Catholic in name. Read St. Ignatius letter to Smyrna (chapter 8 to be exact) written in 100AD. He was appointed Bishop of Antioch by the Apostle Peter.
I felt the same way and then I met a catholic friend that invited me to go to mass with him. I researched for months and finally decided I wanted to be Catholic in 2020. It was the last thing I ever thought I would do. Come on home to the fullness of the faith and the universal church Jesus himself founded.
Yeah, I was raised Catholic, and have always been a Believer. But I had a girlfriend who was Protestant (I forget what particular branch it was), and I went to church with her family once or twice, and it was so different. So much more…informal, for lack of a better word. I was pretty surprised when I saw the preacher was wearing just regular street clothes, and he was playing an electric guitar. No hate to Protestants, everybody was really nice, but it was just way different than the solemn & serious Catholic masses that I’m used to. Kind of a culture shock I guess lol. I’m not really a big fan of The Catholic Church myself these days (especially the Pope) and I haven’t been for quite a while. But my faith has never wavered. I just kind of separate the institution of the Catholic Church, from the religion itself. I figure the Church is man-made, and men are imperfect, therefore the Church is imperfect as well. Like our government has been corrupted and perverted from the original intent of the Founding Fathers, I think the Church has been corrupted and perverted in much the same way. I guess it was bound to happen, over the course of 2,000 years. Our gov’t is only 250 years old, and it’s just even worse lol.
@CivilizedWarrior, remember, nothing happens without God wanting it or allowing it. He will chastise the Church, for Revenge is His alone. Not going to mass, not receiving the Holy Communion, it will make you be further away from Jesus and will let you open to the whispers of the devil. God bless you 🙏 ❤️
I don't think Catholicism is "simpler". I think it's just more "cohesive" and "universal". What I mean by this is, Catholicism is hardly tied to race compared to Protestant churches. When I was living in the Bay Area, a Sunday mass is full of people from different races, even the priest is African. Meanwhile, in my current place, non-Catholic Christians have different churches based on race
I was a Protestant for MANY years. The churches I went to kept getting more and more like "rock concerts" or Ted Talks. In a world full of chaos and distractions, working 10-12 hours a day, I need that CALM, Reverent, HOLY, Contemplative time. I just couldn't find it in any Protestant church I attended. I don't think people are looking for "simplicity", they are looking for reverence. I attended a Traditional Latin Mass with my son and his wife and was BLOWN AWAY. The building itself FELT like the house of God. The beauty drew my eyes upward to Heaven. The calm, quiet, contemplative service was amazing. If you have the chance to go to a TLM, do it. Go without trying to follow along, or without trying to know the Latin prayers. Just sit there, observe the mass, feel the presence of God. If you go with an open mind and heart, you'll find the answers you are looking toward obtaining in your Protestant church.
I was born and raised Catholic but at 15 I left and became an Evangelical Protestant. I was Protestant for 38 years and 2 years ago I came back to the Catholic Church. The 3 things that made me begin to open my mind were: The division among Protestants, the fanatical Zionism and then I saw a trailer for the Padre Pio movie on RUclips. Then RUclips began to feed me Catholic Apologetics and there was no turning back. Logically Catholicism is the only way.
Dude… the fanatical Zionism you mentioned has made me rethink Protestantism. Just listening to people bash Palestinians/Muslims and Catholics but then praise and pray for and stand for some sodomite country but wish destruction on another made me really question what’s going on. I’ve come to realize that much of Protestantism was started by narcissists. They were motivated by money/divorce/power or seriously disturbed (Martin Luther had doctrines invented while on the toilet and had fecal battles with Satan). Many were murderous. Any narcissist can start a church or denomination for money/power. They took away monastic life, sacrificial life of priesthood (e.g. celibacy), formal confession, the Eucharist, and so much more. Many denominations threw the church fathers and history in the trash so their congregations wouldn’t know they’re being deceived. To top it off, Protestants flooded the ranks freemasonry in the 1700s. I believe it was from Freemasonry (they need a temple in Jerusalem) Zionism made into Protestantism via JN Darby in the 1800s. Even recently I remember reading that something like 28% of Southern Baptist ministers are masons.
I’m a baptized Methodist, confirmed Anglican and with many questions along the way and deeper reflection in the bible I became Catholic. Not just simple, but truth..
I’m a Catholic, but half my family is Methodist. 😊 I grew up going to both churches, and they seem pretty similar in some ways. When I visit the Methodist church, I feel like I’m going to half of a Catholic Mass, but I love the kindness of the people there! I’m glad all your questions led you to the Catholic Church. ❤ What an interesting journey!

@@aymanseder5887 ..when I was Methodist and Anglican, I believed as do 99% of Protestants what you believed as well as what I thought the Catholic Church was. The Catholic Church created the bible that you solely rely on. I don’t look for loop holes or sayings or Protestant changes to the bible, made by men too, I look for truth and that’s why I’m Catholic
Right? Confession is healing. I was Protestant, but I began practicing non-sacramental confession with other believers, and it was so liberating. Now, I'm Catholic, and I love having access to sacramental confession. So powerful!
As a Protestant the church service I attended was a rock concert with the worship team and then the pastor center stage. As a Catholic center stage is the Altar where we focus on our Lord Jesus and the atonement of his death for us, center stage is the Tabernacle where our Lord is present. As a Protestant the focus of the service was on human beings performing songs and speaking inspirationally, as a Catholic the focus of the Mass is Jesus.
I’m all for ending these ridiculous halftime show mega churches but I don’t believe Catholic Church is the next best thing. Their head affirms and blesses gays, they worship the mother of Jesus and they sell saint statues at their gift shops to “help” sell your house. On top of moving PDFiles from church to church instead of addressing the issue. Reformed Protestantism is definitely the better choice.
This was exactly what bothered me when I visited a couple of the churches my wife’s Protestant family went to…. The congregation all faces the band/choir…. One even had a drum set for the band that played on a stage in the front…. Once heard one say: show me their church design and I will show you what they worship…. Won’t say they really do worship themselves, but the design of the church sure does…
Catholic Church is the only Church was mentioned in the Bible : Acts 9:31 = ekklesia katholes (Catholic Church). Also the Fathers also called their Church as "Catholic Church" and they all teach the same doctrines as the Catholic Church teach today. So Catholic Church is the only reasonable answer for the question "which Church Jesus established?".

Your experience and the questions you ask yourself are not unique. However, it can be true in both directions. Here in Europe catholic churches are running empty and majestic buidings are being sold one after the other. Much, if not all, depends on what services look like and on the impact they have on each ones personal live ones outside the service. I have been born and raised in a deep catholic family and have much to thank my parish church for what they have given me in my younger life. I am 73 now. Catholic parishes used to have a strong social pressence in the world. Now it is step by step fainting. I must acknowledge though that sermons lack very often of a good scripture foundation and that the half hour services work often on a bases of routine. They also lack often of the freshness of new sripture based praise and worship to which Paul encourages us. It is true that a catholic mass allows for more quit reflection after communion and during the moment of consecration but remember that other parts are mostly filled with in advance prepared texts that are read and which in my experience do lack of what is typical for a personal relationship with our Lord. A catholic mass evolves mainly around the eucharistic offer for witch there is indeed a high reverence. However a study amongst catholics in the States ( according to bishop Baron) showed that 70 percent of them don’t believe in the real physical presence of the Lord in the bread and wine, which is a dogma of the catholic church. This shows you another reality. I have also a totally different opinion on the latin mass, so praised by many traditionalists for its mystical feel. Vatican II has in my opinion taken the proper decision to recommend holding services in the local language. Desiring for the so called mystical feel can be the other extreme of desiring for a electronic show. I attend regularly a balanced pentecostal church in Brussels filled with people from everywhere around the world which has a good scripture based 20 minutes praise and worship time focussed on our personal relation with the Lord followed by a prayer time and a good healthy preaching. I can testify that I walk out of that service built up and more ready for my responsibilities of the following week. Are they perfect? No. Would I like to have a bit more quit reflection time. Yes. Do I stay critical to the content of the songs? But for most of the time I go home being built up. This said, I will never avoid a good catholic service and will maintain the very good contacts I have with many ofthem. Here in the West of Europe Protestant- evangeical churches too have a hard time surviving and we have no mega churches at all. I agree with you that there is a spritual hunger in the world that could be shown and met by all christian churches if they would only stay focussed on the firm preaching of the gospel, time for prayer and a reverence for the table of the Lord as Paul admonishes us to. Lets try to help them pursuing these objectives.
The most powerful thing I ever did was embrace the Roman Catholic Church as an adult. The Protestant Churches I grew up in became spiritually empty. The "Worship" services had become entertainment shows and social events. Schism and disunity of belief and values was everywhere. For me the Order of Mass is like a religious meditation that connects me with God. Just walk into an old Catholic Church, the Presence is there. You can feel it.
Just got confirmed into the Catholic Church this year, my spirituality has never been deeper and with the help of Christ I’ve been overcoming sins I struggled with my entire life. God bless you brother.
@@patriciaw4270 No ma'am, I was born again when I was baptized. Just like Jesus says in John 3:5: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.' Many verses in the Bible talk about how baptism is the beginning of the Christian life and the early christians (who were taught by the apostles directly) believed the same thing.
My wife and I have been leading worship in the Protestant nondenominational church for 25 years and after a three year conversion process, we have converted t you o the Catholic Church and it is beautifully amazing. We didn’t know what we were missing because everything we had been told about Catholicism was simply not true. It is the church Jesus Christ established. I hope everyone can witness what we have witnessed and fulfill their faith.
Why are you lying? You profile picture shows a much younger woman holding her small children. If someone who is Protestant, leaves for the Catholic Church; then they never knew Jesus. Someone who is Catholic and leaves the Catholic church to be a Christian; that person found Jesus.
@@loveisaiah622 and thanks to all those Biblical Scholar converts to the Catholic Church who come in with their Biblical knowledge and help us cradle Catholics see the beauty of our own faith. Truly these are gems💥💥💥.
“If I didn’t think that some of the things the Catholic Church is teaching are heretical” at around 16:00. Why don’t you explore those issues that you think are heretical, from reliable Catholic sources, you will find out they are not
You are absolutely correct and when you study the early church, you recognize that they would not be familiar with the worship that we see today in the evangelical churches. I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way, but it is the truth.
100% correct. Whenever a Protestant tells me the Catholic Church is heretical, I ask them which Catholic apologists they've listened to in order to understand the context of the Catholic Church's position. At best none of them had, and even worse some of them expressed utter disdain that I would suggest such a thing. Btw I don't even go to a Catholic Church anymore; I have a small nondenomination church I am part of that I love, but I have been feeling that pull again...
Dillon, I have a huge suggestion. It will take a great leap of courage. Go to Catholic Church websites (church near you) and look for the words “Eucharistic Adoration”. Slip in the back of the church and sit in a pew during this time. No one will question you. Tell God, “forgive me if this is not of your will” Then just sit there and contemplate God. Simply spend time there. In your mind, let God know of your dilemmas. Go back another day to just sit and pray. It’s very peaceful. You will feel peace
@@LaurieD-x4x Next to a Catholic mass, I love attending Adoration. The solemn prayer and the profound spiritual experience is transformative. The feeling of grace received is immense.

For me, as a man that returned to the Catholic Church… the difference is 1. Catholic Mass is more prayer based, literally from start to finish 2. The first half of Catholic Mass is about the Word of God, and the second is about the Word made Flesh 3. The Focus of Mass, with the Sacrifice at the Altar, and the REAL Presence of our Savior found in the Holy Eucharist makes the whole experience more personal and meaningful 4. I have nothing against praise music, but the visceral effect you feel with Gregorian Chant… seems more reverent, awe inspiring, glorious and beautiful…. 5. The prayer devotions, such as the rosary order your life, connect you, and are others focused. We pray for everyone, we ask for forgiveness for all. We do so in communion with each other, and with the Angels and Saints to Glorify God Almighy

@ great point. That’s why the Catholic liturgy is drawn from Scripture, each Mass has readings from OT, Psalms, NT, and Gospel. Not just quoting verses, but reading the Chapters. Catholic Masses are also prayer focused, most of which are direct Bible quotes. The music in Catholic Mass tends to be more biblically based, again quoting scripture or we are singing actual Psalms But most importantly the Word itself is made Flesh, as Catholics do as our Savior told us clearly, multiple times and partake of the true Bread of Life What most Evangelicals do not realize, is that the Catholic liturgy is completely based on, drawn from, and is fully intertwined with Sacred Scripture… even moreso than the Evangelical services… which interject more of a personal experience and structure to your Churches Peace be with you ✝️
This is exactly what drew me to the Eastern Orthodox Church. When you step into the Church you’re leaving the things of the world at the door for the Divine Liturgy.

I was a fallen away catholic for 30 years and went to a small Baptist church in 2020. I hadn’t stepped foot in a church in years. I sat in the seat and enjoyed listening to the Bible stories, did not recognize it as the word of God and did not pray. In 2021 I walked into a Catholic Church dipped my fingers in the holy water made the sign of the cross, did not know the words to the sign of the cross, flipped the kneeler down and thanked God for the beautiful sunrises at my new house. Kept going back, and can happily say I love my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, today.

I am not afraid of living my life as I feel Jesus , Mary and all the other saints help me with everything I need.❤
I became an evangelical Christian in 2020 because of strangers telling me about Jesus Christ. I’m forever thankful for them because the Gospel message gave me hope. As I grew in my walk and became well-versed in Scripture, I had lots of theological questions and serious convictions that Protestants could not give direct or definite answers to. I started seriously deeply researching into Catholicism and cried at the realization that the Catholic Church has been, is, and will always be the Bride of Christ. I went through OCIA in 2023 and was confirmed into Catholic Church this Easter Vigil 2024 with my boyfriend. It is so relieving to know that we have come to the full knowledge and understanding that Catholicism is the original and true form of Christianity.

The Dalai Lama's book "A Policy of Kindness" helped guide me to becoming Catholic (I was raised Lutheran ELCA). At the beginning of Chapter 6 the Dalai Lama is in Spain amd goes to meet a Christian monk, a hermit. When he sees him, "I got a very happy experience, some kind of vibration." That sealed it for me. Thanks so much for watching my video. I really appreciate your kind words and all the thoughtful feedback. It’s been awesome hearing different perspectives, and I wanted to keep the conversation going. I actually made a new RUclips video where I talk through a lot of these thoughts about Catholicism. I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. Everyone has been so intentional on leaving good feedback so I wanted to return the respect. ruclips.net/video/-EEKhLVEWOU/видео.html
Your video did go viral in catholic circles, you communicated perfectly the problem with *evangelical* protestantism, i love how you open your heart to us.
I was a cradle Catholic that left the church for 18 years to attend a Protestant church. I kept visiting the Catholic Mass year after year for Easter and Christmas during those years because I was hungry for a real Mass experience. Not to mention, our Christian church would close for those holy days so everyone could stay home with their families. I wanted to be with God to glorify and adore Him on His days. Eventually, after the death of my mother, I returned home to Catholicism and never looked back. I don’t take it for granted that I was given such a grace.
Maria, I don't understand exactly what you have gone through, but I want to say something. On RUclips there are infinite sources and arguments for every church out there and that can be confusing. Some people can go from this church to that church and unfortunately someday when they stand before God they will hear "Depart from me, I never knew you." That is because they "did the thing" and did what "good" people did by going to church. You can also have head knowledge about Jesus Christ and the Bible but without knowledge of the heart. I am aware that some people put an emphasis on their particular church organization as being the true church, but is our salvation in an organization or Jesus Christ? Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Our faith should be in Jesus Christ, not an organization because the church can be infiltrated. Acts 20:29 “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.” With that said, I do understand the compelling nature of Catholicism and I understand why people convert to it. I honestly have felt some kind of spirit luring me, but I know the Holy Ghost and I have clearly seen the him manifest in my life. Not your usual Charismatic nonsense, but the sign of the Holy Ghost is boldness. Acts 4:31 “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” I have felt great boldness to preach the word of God on the streets like the apostles and if you knew me personally you would know that is completely against my nature. Now is that the Holy Ghost or the devil who is giving me boldness to preach the word? I say all that to say that the Holy Spirit, being evident in my life has used KJV bible-believing baptist preachers to get me where I am and not mainstream evangelical protestants or Catholics. I have a burden for lost souls who do not know Jesus Christ which is also evident by the Holy Ghost and I care about your soul as well. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5 Do you have Jesus Christ? That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Is that true? If we believe on the finished work of Jesus and ask him to save us we will be saved. If not God is a liar and we have no hope. Just some things to think about. If you have questions about the KJV I would certainly provide resources.
@@pianoplayer2260 You're functioning under the very mistaken assumption that the Catholic Church teaches that one must do stuff to be saved or that we're saved by works. We teach nothing of the sort. So you're operating on a mistaken assumption. Why do people convert? Because they learn that everything they've been fed about the Catholic Church has been wrong or a distortion. You're squarely in that camp.
It is by God's grace that you have returned to his church Maria.Whatever negative response to your decision is just remember there is no alternative to the Catholic Religion, it is not a man made religion like Protestantism, which does not have the Sacraments which Jesus made very clear we are to adere to
The big stumbling block for me in RC was transubstantiation , I absolutely could not get into that. I do miss kneeling down to worship. But what was being worshipped? The little red sanctuary light telling you Jesus was present in the bread?
@@daunemacdonald515Jesus is being worshiped - of course not the candle. But yes, Jesus, and yes He is there - the Eucharist is Him. How? Why, He is God. He can perform miracles and this is one. Just like the feeding of the 5000, just like the manna in the desert, He is the bread from heaven. I invite you to watch some father Mike Schmitz videos on the Eucharist- he explains it well
I converted to the Catholic Church almost 2 years ago from Evangelicalism…I understand exactly what you are saying. My journey lasted over 5 years and the doctrines you mention that I also perceived as heretical I realized were not only historical but largely Biblical. It took awhile but those walls fell and I couldn’t unsee what i had seen. So blessed to be Catholic. Thanks for your video, I appreciate the honesty.
I’m exactly in the same place as you. This Sunday I will attend mass at my local Catholic Church. I am tired of feeling empty attending my mega church with its rock concert. Thank you for this important message. God bless
I’m a Nondenominational Protestant and I’ve been deeply considering Catholicism for over a decade because of a lot of the things you mentioned. I think the biggest thing that has drawn me closer to Catholicism has to do with the fact that the Mass isn’t focused on trying to make you feel good about yourself. The Mass is God’s Time, not ours, it’s our sacrifice to God to focus solely on Him and His Son. As I’ve grown older and deeper in my faith, God’s Time has become so necessary in growing closer with Christ. Protestant Church for me has become very self centered and it’s tiring going to every service getting a concert paired with a timely and relevant ted talk regarding current events that just so happens to revolve around Jesus. I just want Jesus. And the wild part is that Catholicism of all denominations has done such a great job in showing me that they prioritize God’s Time. Hopefully that gives some more understanding about the problem.
Really depends on your church. I’ve been to Protestant churches where you walk out feeling convicted, or in awe of Christ, or feel secure knowing the sovereignty of God over your life and the course of world history. You comment seems to minimize the relevance of Jesus in our world (as a topic), rather focusing on church attendance being a sacrifice.
I definitely agree it can be hit or miss though with Protestant churches. You really have to do some searching to find a really solid one. There are some things the Protestant church can definitely take influence from the Catholic Church.
I completely hear where you’re coming from and agree with your points, I think there are a lot of Protestant churches out there that do a great job what you said. Where I was coming from about church being a sacrifice has more to do with the intention behind going to church. Church being a sacrifice is the best way I can describe putting Christ first above anything else. The problems I’ve been struggling with Protestant churches have more to do with feeling like I’m not there to put Christ first, it’s like I’m there to hear pastor speak his opinions about current events or to hear high quality music that stimulate my senses. Again I completely agree, I think this is a case by case basis, but it’s something I’ve noticed grow exponentially in Protestantism for the last decade and there are a lot of Christians who’ve begun to grow tired of it. I appreciate your response though.
You want Jesus? We have him *literally*. We are in total communion with him every time we partake in Mass, something that even angels don't possess. The Catholic church has the real consecrated presence of Christ as for everything else, it's an added bonus. If you want to be one with and eat of his Body and drink his blood as he commanded, come home 😊
The holy Catholic mass is full of reverence, dignity and respect sometimes on your knees. Where 4 readings from the Bible are read. The last being the gospel. Everybody stands for that. The priest holds the Bible up on the air, kisses it and bows to it, offering incense. My service has the most beautiful Gregorian chants in Latin, where the smell of incense fills the air - the smoke symbolising purification and sanctification as our prayers rise to heaven with blessings coming back down. Receiving the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist often brings me to tears.
I was recently at a small Catholic Church north of Santa Fe, NM. The priest has been there for 40+ years, but has vocally expressed that we do not need to be 'born again' as the Scriptures tell us. They read the four scriptures in the service and during his sermon he upheld Bill Gates and Warren Buffett as great men. He said God is smiling down upon these two famous men for their good deeds. I thought these two were agnostic or atheist? Anyway, there's no mention to the congregation of needing Christ for salvation. So if new people come into the church and wonder what it's about, they will hear more about Bill Gates than Jesus Christ. I know not all churches are like this, but this is a taste of Catholic Churches in the southwest.
@@reginatrujillo216 Catholics absolutely believe we must be born again. It has taught that for 2,000 years. We are born of water and spirit in the sacrament of baptism. We are sealed in the spirit when the mind is of age in the sacrament of confirmation. Perhaps you didn’t understand what the priest meant if you don’t fully understand Catholic doctrine. If he meant that you didn’t need to be baptised again and again. I completely agree. I wasn’t there and you don’t fully understand Catholic doctrine so suggest going straight to the Catechism.
I was feeling the same way and am currently in the process of converting to Catholicism. I have never felt closer to God. I am so glad the Lord is opening the eyes of your heart to a deeper relationship with Him.
@@graftme3168 "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:53-54 KJV
I experienced the Holy Spirit at a Baptist revival when I was nine, and I decided to give my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. When I say “experienced,” I mean it with every fiber of my being-it was mystical like Tolkien and magical like Lewis. It was an adventure that felt safe and scary at the same time. Simple, yet complex beauty. I fell in love with what we called worship, reading the Bible, and saying, “Lord Jesus, come into my heart and wash away my sins.” I still love whispering those words as I drift off to sleep. Many nights I whispered those words. Many good nights but most not so much. But those words were my faithful friend. But as the years passed, the bright light of those early experiences dimmed under the weight of sorrow, hormones, and uncertainty. The simplicity of childlike faith gave way to questions I wasn’t ready to face. Life got hard-tragic, even. There was sorrow, innocence lost, teenage angst, uncertainty, anxiety, and a descent into a medicated worldliness. My hippie mother used to playfully chant, “Sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll,” and that became my reality. I drifted into agnosticism in practice, and disenfranchised nondenominationalism in belief. Church attendance stopped, first for me, then for my mom. Out of the blue, a good friend invited me back to church. We were high school seniors, and I admired his passion for his faith. He wasn’t shy about sharing the gospel with me. I remember that service-it felt like home, reminiscent of my earlier worship experiences. We sang songs, and we’d even jokingly swap lyrics into irreverent parodies later…ha we still do. Eventually, I got my own car and started driving myself to church. I explored different denominations, open to anything-well, anything except Catholicism. I was taught Catholics worshiped Mary, practiced necromancy, forbade reading the Bible, believed in earning salvation, and relied on magic-like rituals like confession to erase sins and then do it again. Not only was the pope a pedo- he was also the antichrist. In college, while studying world history and religion, I read Calvinistic books and even wrote a paper praising King Henry VIII for his break from the “tyranny” of Rome. But that paper led to pushback-intellectual challenges, philosophical opposition, and, surprisingly, invitations to Mass. I hated that first Mass. But the topic of sola scriptura-the belief that Scripture alone is the ultimate authority in faith-became my first stumbling block in Protestantism. Then came the writings of the Church Fathers-the first 300 years of Christian thought, laying out what the Church believed. These early Christian writers revealed a Church alive with tradition, sacraments, and authority, all rooted in the apostles themselves. I devoured those texts, crying over them night after night. I felt betrayed, duped, and robbed of the fullness of truth. I didn’t want Catholicism to be true. I didn’t want to be Catholic, especially during the height of the sex abuse scandals, compounded by my family’s own survival of unspeakable abuses. But the truth struck me with the same wave I’d felt as a nine-year-old boy asking to be baptized. Only this time, it was solid food, not milk. I experienced the grace flowing from the sacraments-the Holy Mysteries. Living them. Going to war for them. War against the ego, the lustful flesh, and demons both external and internal. I was shaped by the rhythm of the liturgical calendar, befriended saints, meditated on Scripture with the rosary, and steeped myself in sacred tradition. Watching Fulton Sheen reruns. Wrestling with inconsistencies, stereotypes, and human failures within the Church. Experiencing loss, confession, fasting, miracles, icons, chanting, the Latin Mass, and the Jesus Prayer. The Jesus Prayer became my anchor, just like those simple words I prayed as a Baptist boy. The mystery of faith continues to awe me. That boy hasn’t had to give up his wonder-it has matured into something deeper and more profound. It’s hard sometimes. The road is often difficult, feeling impossibly hopeless at times. But glimpses of His glory remind us that love is enough. We are the chosen because we persevere. We are the elect because we hold on. We may fall 99 times, but we get up 100. So I urge you, wherever you are on your journey, to look deeper. Peel back the layers of history and ask the hard questions. Why did the early Christians cling to the sacraments? Why did they submit to a Church that claimed authority over their lives, even unto death? Why did their worship reflect the heavens-liturgical, sacrificial, and rich with mystery? Apostolic Christianity is not just a historical curiosity; it offers a rootedness and depth that modern spiritual hunger so desperately seeks. In its unbroken connection to Christ and the apostles, it speaks to hearts longing for truth that transcends time. At the very least, wrestle honestly with the claims. For in that wrestling-whether in joy or in anguish-you may encounter the living Christ, who longs to lead you not into comfort, but into communion. Years later, I ran into that very college professor-the one who gave me a C on my anti-Catholic research paper-at a Catholic Mass. She told me she hadn’t been impressed with my writing skills at the time, but the paper nagged at her. She had let weak Protestant arguments pull her away from her nominal Catholic faith into a more "Bible-centered" Christianity, but it was my own misguided C-level ignorance that sparked her journey back to the faith of her heritage. God, in His infinite mercy, writes straight with crooked lines. He is Goodness itself. It is an adventure, as I once found and continue to find, both safe and scary. It is the greatest love story ever told.
This is so beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this with us, I’m a cradle Catholic but my boyfriend is a Protestant convert, as well as a believer in sola scriptural and faith alone salvation, and I struggle to defend and portray our faith properly like you just did, I just never had anyone confront it this deeply. His biggest holdup is the Eucharist and the most Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as (according to him) there were many early Christians who didn’t believe in any of these traditions and thinks they begun up until the dark ages. Would you mind pointing out which Church fathers helped you better understand the tradition of Catholicism? I think it would help me a lot in in showing him where my faith comes from and is sustained both in history and the Bible. God bless you!!
@@firelordzuko7733 The trouble is that those who cling to their church traditions seem to ignore the facts of the Bible. The Bible just happens to be the infallible word of God. Catholicism and the Bible cannot both be right. One of them is a liar. That’s why I’m not a catholic.

In my teens when I was confused about what church Jesus established I prayed for the Lord to show me His true Church. He led me to Himself in the catholic church and now I receive Him, My Lord and My God, in the eucharist. It says in the gospel of John, Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life within you.
@@_ready__Protestants continue asking this tired question. Protestantism breeds a spirit of doubt. We Catholics have the truth in the church established by Jesus through Pope St. Peter. The Church’s teachings are divine and transcendent. Protestantism is an English and American religion that continues to break apart. The Catholic Church has survived 2000 years of persecution, collapsing of nations and wars. How about you look into what Catholics believe about salvation for yourself.

If the Catholic Church as a whole didn't promote 1/ Worshiping Mary instead of JESUS 2/ Praying to the saints and dead relatives. 3/ The Pope saying he is infallible. I would think about it. I was received into the Catholic Church 13 years ago after a lifetime in protestant evangelical and baptist traditions. I am so grateful to God for leading me home to the Church Christ founded. I have never regretted it, and it never gets old. “Late have I loved thee, O Beauty ever ancient, ever new.”
we will gladly welcome you in the Catholic Church. As a catholic, I believe that this testifies that Jesus did really build a church the church never changed. It still holds onto the same core after his death. It’s still alive. It’s never changing, and it will always be here.
You're ignoring most of history, of course. The Roman church of 1000 years ago would be pretty horrified at the Catholic heresies of today. The didn't practice veneration of mary, etc etc
Once you receive the actual body and blood of Christ you will understand how truly beautiful the Catholic Church is! I find myself crying with joy and totally emotion receiving the Eucharist at every Catholic mass!
I was a former preachers kid from the Church of Christ. I began to feel the calling many years ago when I sang at mass with the school mariachi. Years later our Blessed Mother comforted me during a difficult time in my life. I became Catholic in April of 2022. There is no substitution for the true body of Christ. Once you experience true Holy Communion there is no going back for me.
I left the Jehovah’s Witness after 20yrs. I was a devout JW. I had only been to the Kingdom Hall or a Catholic Church when I was very young. I visited an evangelical Sunday service. It was Awsome. Had a cafe, a kids day care, & a great rock concert. The pastor was in a Hawaiian shirt & flip flops. I sang and it was fun but you’re right. It was a concert with a Ted talk. I found my way back to the Catholic Church. Most of what I thought was heretical was mostly a modern western Christianities take on ancient history. I couldn’t believe anyone would want to be catholic. So I wanted to see why? So I start watching conversion stories. I found theologians & pastors of churches converting. People who know the Bible way better than me. So I started to soften because these are very smart people.
This resonates with so much of my own experience. I was raised in the Southern Baptist church. As a teenager I joined the Methodist Church. In College I found myself in The Assemblies of God. I Served as a campus missionary. Even played in the praise and worship bands for basically every church/ministry I was involved in. After I graduated college I became a youth pastor and was really focused on making sure the kids I was working with were growing in their faith, reading scripture, developing good prayer habits, and helping them live as Christians. I was fired 6 months in because I “didn’t double or triple the size of the youth group”. That’s exactly what the pastor said. I was interested in helping these kids love Jesus. Not entertaining them. To cut to the chase, I took a deep dive into Christianity, all it’s history and am now entering the Catholic Church, which I would have been against 10 years ago. I like you believed they taught heresy but I’ve been proven wrong. I want to encourage you, brother, to keep pursuing Jesus, be open and honest about what you believe to be the truth. I believe you will find what you’re looking for in the Catholic Church. You’ll have to decide for yourself. God bless you in your questioning and on your journey.

Next thing would be looking at the biggest questions we have regarding the catholic faith: Mary and everything concerning her The saints and praying to them Confession Purgatory The catholic church as the whore of Babylon The pope and the antichrist The eucharist All the links of idolatry to the catholic faith And then you beggin to realize these are all false and baseless accusations. And then you begin to see how sad the Protestant faith has become when you dig in to its roots in luther. Studying luther also makes you see the issues on his life and doctrine. You will be at a crossroad where you have no choice but to realize the Catholic faith is the Church that Jesus Christ started. As soon as you get in, you will see how your protestant family and friends will start to shun away from you. A struggle you never had as a protestant. It will be painful and sad. But sweet as you realize you are home And you see the Catholic faith is TRULY RICH. and there is a lot of work to be done to help the faithful. Come home man. It's really amazing looking at Christianity in this side.
Jesus said that before the world hated you, remember that it hated Him first. Becoming Catholic might not be a walk in the park, but it certainly is worth it. You just found the treasure hidden in the field and the pearl of great price. Welcome home my brother.
Very interesting! I am a cradle catholic but there was a time when I was attending a non-denominational church and while I really enjoyed it and loved one particular pastor, I never felt like I had been to church....I have always described it as feeling like I'd been to a feel good conference!! I am now happily back in the Catholic church and well grounded there. I could never be anything other than Catholic....my Catholic roots run very deep, praise God!
Just curious to know, what do you feel about the popes latest declaration that there are many roads to God and it doesn’t matter which religion you belong to?
@@liljade53 I'm not the original poster, I just wanted to put my feedback in. I don't speak for the pope but this is my understanding. When the Pope said all religions are paths to God, he meant god with a lowercase g. In the sense that all religious people are seeking God (or at least A god) through some means. He never said whether or not their path was the correct/true path, just that it's a path.
@@gp-banjo but the Pope is supposed to speak for Jesus. To say all religions are a path to god, (they don't know whether he means lower case or capital), is to by pass the Savior, like he's non-essential. Hopefully we did not see the entire message and he wrapped things up with the truth of the gospel.
When you go to a protestant "rock concert" service you are immediately aware that you've come to the works and designs of men. When you step into an Eastern liturgy, or a latin mass and find your self 2 hours into mystery you are struck by the works of God
I was born and raised Catholic but left the church in high school and never got confirmed. After a series of events this past year, I felt compelled to return home. After 33 years of being away, I'm finally going through OCIA. And over the past few months, I've been seeing on social media that there are a LOT of people like me, either returning to the Catholic Church or converting. I can't explain it, but I truly believe something miraculous is happening.
I was a Protestant but converted to the Catholic Church in 2001. My old church wasn't like a concert. It was very small with one preacher. We sang two songs and then listened to the preacher talk for almost an hour and then sang two more songs. I felt the presence of Jesus in the Catholic Church though. In the Catholic Mass I wasn't just sitting there listening to someone talk. I am participating in Mass with prayers and listening to scripture. The word Catholic means universal so even if I'm in one church I'm still worshiping with millions of Catholics all over the world because we are all saying the same prayers and worshiping in the same way. I'm so grateful to God for the Catholic Church.
Became Catholic in 2019 from a nondenom church. The absolute richness and authenticity is what drew me in, and I stayed for the community and depth. At the nondenom church I went to the youth groups and young adult groups were just full of the “same old stuff” that I saw out in the world. In our parishes, the young adults are there solely to form lasting authentic relationships. It is so night and day. I became recharged by practicing religion not drained
Hey Dillon, Great video. I converted to Catholicism because of a few of the things you mentioned here. I think the cultural phenomenon you mention is a huge conversation Christians need be having. I emailed you about having you on my channel to discuss some of this stuff if you're open to it!. Blessings!
years ago, a friend of mine and his wife got a separation. His newly separated wife was going to move in with another man, as a Pentecostal friend of hers told her basically that God told her to move in with him. After watching so many videos on you-tube, I will always remain Catholic.
Yeh but get real. If you want to throw shade on Pentecostals. Have a close look at yourselves. Catholic do just the same. Look at statistics. More Catholics have abortions than pentecostal 😮
My wife and I were attending a pentecostal church before our separation, and she is now with another guy, and she felt that the holy spirit was telling her to be with him.
I’m a proud Catholic here. The Eucharist changed my life. Confession changed something on the other side…DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE IT…I did, everyone does…BUT IT MATTERS. I’m in the process of confirmation and I’m so excited for the Holy Spirit to anoint me. Adoration of the most blessed sacrament is INCREDIBLE. Talk about HEALING! I honestly feel bad for non denominational churches…they are missing out. My life would not have been saved without the Eucharist. Taking it weekly is a must for anyone struggling with ANYTHING…it keeps you focused and connected to Jesus. It keeps you peaceful. There are Christians STRUGGLING and they don’t even know that Jesus gave us more than 1 sacrament (more than baptism) to help HEAL ourselves and anoint ourselves. Don’t listen to people who say we worship Mary. I’m a Catholic-and I can HONESTLY say I’ve never seen any worship of Mary. We simply pray to hear for intercession and honor her for her roll. We take into account THE WHOLE PROPHECY when meditating on God and what he did for us, but we only worship the trinity.
When you say Hail Mary, you are talking to Mary right? And when you repeat that 53 times in a rosary, what is that? That is repetitive prayer. Bible says that we shouldn't pray like pagans
Thanks so much for watching my video. I really appreciate your kind words and all the thoughtful feedback. It’s been awesome hearing different perspectives, and I wanted to keep the conversation going. I actually made a new RUclips video where I talk through a lot of these thoughts about Catholicism. @@patriciaw4270We are supposed to avoid *vain* repetitions, not repetitions in general. After all, we say things like “Holy, Holy, Holy” and the Psalms were written to be memorized and repeated. The number of times you say a prayer does not matter unless you mean it. Therefore, if you mean it, you can repeat a prayer as many times as you see fit.
@newman when I say Holy, Holy, Holy I praise God, ok? But when you say Hail Mary, Hail Mary, Hail Mary...you praise human. Do you see the difference? Jesus never told us to praise humans or pray to a human. Jesus told us how to pray. It is in the Bible. Anyone can read. "The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day."
@ See, now that’s a different discussion. Whether or not Christians should pray to Mary is different from whether or not prayer to Mary is vain repetition.
Come home to the Catholic Church! ❤ Jesus is there in a way that I can’t describe. Lifelong Protestant, in process of becoming Catholic! At least visit a service. The difference is otherworldly.

How You Can Know You Have Eternal Life ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust, etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust firmly, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you, save you from hell and give you eternal life ! And you will be sealed with the Holy Spirit who will dwell within you forever! And thank Jesus ! Rom.3:25,5:8,9,10:9, Is.53:5,6, II Cor.5:21, Ephes.1:7,13,4:30, Heb.10:14,38,39, I John 1:7, 5:7,13,20
I was raised Evangelical Protestant and saw the churches I attended move from hymns to rock oriented praise and worship bands with high production values. I liked it at first but about 15 years ago I began to grow weary of that style of church and began to look for something more reverent with historical continuity. Nine years ago, the Lord lead me to the Orthodox Church. I can’t imagine worshiping anywhere else. I feel I encounter Christ there in a way that was missing in my Protestant experience. May you be blessed on your journey to a deeper relationship with Jesus.
I think the protestant church misses what true worship means. Historically worship requires a sacrifice. When you come to a Catholic church it's not about you, but it's what you give to God. Lastly the mass is God's love language as you can read in the first century in the writing of St. Justin Martyr this is how they used to worship in the first century
St. Justin Maryr's writings are certainly worth reading regarding Church worship; however, Justin lived in the second century approximately from 100 AD to !65 AD.
Went to mass last night and felt like it would be the best hour of my week because I can just be present with the Lord. So much distraction and noise outside of the church.
Just had my Rite of Acceptance! I was considering the Protestant church but after attending one, I did not feel closer to God. Then, I went to a mass at a Catholic Church and left feeling God in my life. God is King!!
I wish you the best on your journey. Consider asking your catechist to cover the doctrines in Genesis, the Gospels, Aquinas, and Athanasius. Those were all critical points for the formation of my faith. Pray the Rosary every day and be vigilant of demons. They want you more when you aren't in their domain. Pray to St. Joseph (Terror of Demons) and St. Anthony (patron of lost souls) or read the Psalms when you need guidance. Christ is King 🇻🇦Ave Christus Rex
Born again Christian here that is almost about to turn Catholic. I was raised Lutheran but we didn’t attend church. Married a Catholic and attended mass for many years and started to really grow close to the Lord there. Then an evangelical neighbor started talking to me and I became convinced that the Catholic Church was wrong. I’ve been nondenominational for over 30 years but the past few years I have felt a pulling to go back to Catholicism. When I step in a Catholic church I feel like I’m home. I will also admit that I’m not too fond of evangelicals anymore. I certainly love some and will forever but the holier than thou, legalistic judgments and cliques have actually helped to push me away. I’m no longer married to a Catholic but still want to go “home” to the church I feel close to the Lord in.
Protestantism never could contain the breadth and depths of questions I held. Aquinas helped me bridge those questions and ideas and find a way to use those questions to better understand and start an authentic relationship with God. Catholicism allows the best expression of our need to not just be ourselves, but the best version of ourselves so we are pleasing to our Father: There is a new kind of vulnerable trust that Protestantism never could let me feel.
Alexis de Tocqueville actually published Democracy in America 1800s (my translation was first published in English in 1966) so sometime in there. Which makes his predictions all the more impressive if you ask me. I think a lot of Protestants have their guards up with Catholicism, which is understandable, given the assumptions they’ve been given over the years about the Church. But I’ve been Catholic my whole life, and I’m telling you, I don’t have all of the answers, but Catholicism has answers that give me peace and hope. And I don’t have to worry that when my pastor relocates that everything will collapse, because we aren’t there for him, even though we all love him dearly. We are there for the sacrament of Unity - Jesus Himself present in the Eucharist. I loved your reflection, God bless you.
Scared to ask: isn't Democracy in America by Tocqueville an essential reading in high school civics class? Or at least genetally taught to some extent? It's a classic work by now, written even before the civil war. How do people cite someone's work without spending a couple of minutes on research? It's right there in your phone, seconds away. Anyway, I guess we all have our blind spots, but to understand this whole topic better, you might also grab Neil Postman's Amusing Ourselves to Death. It's an 80s book mostly about TV and televangelists are mentioned too, but IMO it has a beautiful insight into what has been forming modern church for the worse.

Come home to the Church Jesus founded. It's not the home where you came from but the home you belong to. He promised the gates of hell will not prevail against it. He stayed true to that promise for over 2000 years. It is the oldest institution on earth and survived all the other empires. The Catholic Church is the biggest charitable institution in the world. It invented the school, the university, the hospital and the orphanage. It is the closest to Jesus that you can ever be. Imagine receiving His body, blood, soul and divinity through the Holy Eucharist. This is how He could be with us "until the end of time." He commanded to bring the gospel to all the nations and His church did exactly that. There is just no place on earth without a Catholic church.

So the past couple months I've been attending Catholic mass and it has been EXCELLENT! I'm in RCIA now to better understand the Catholic faith bc I believe it really is the true Church! Praying for you!

A good reformed church - probably several in your area
The early church was Catholic in name. Read St. Ignatius letter to Smyrna (chapter 8 to be exact) written in 100AD. He was appointed Bishop of Antioch by the Apostle Peter.
I felt the same way and then I met a catholic friend that invited me to go to mass with him. I researched for months and finally decided I wanted to be Catholic in 2020. It was the last thing I ever thought I would do. Come on home to the fullness of the faith and the universal church Jesus himself founded.
I think it’s not only simplicity, but an atmosphere of sacredness that Catholicism and Orthodoxy have with their rituals and liturgy.
The CREC (which is protestant) has these things as well
Yeah, I was raised Catholic, and have always been a Believer.
@@CivilizedWarrior Yeah, considering it wasn’t the church Jesus established in the first place.

Not to mention every protestant pastor shills for a certain middle eastern country
Mega churches are nothing but money making\laundering scams and their pastors are literal demons.
Padre Pio brought me back into the church in 2019. Best move I ever made
Welcome home!
Also the star of that film, Shia LeBeouf, was converted in the making of that show. His interview with Bishop Baron was amazing.

Dude. I’m right there with you. That’s why I’m deeply digging into the Catholic Church, and the more I learn the closer I feel to Jesus.

Welcome sister, you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Wish you the best and God bless you! ❤

100% correct. Whenever a Protestant tells me the Catholic Church is heretical, I ask them which Catholic apologists they've listened to in order to understand the context of the Catholic Church's position.

At Eucharistic Adoration is where you will find answers… sitting right there in front of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist please I also advise you to go
For me, as a man that returned to the Catholic Church… the difference is
1. Catholic Mass is more prayer based, literally from start to finish
2. The first half of Catholic Mass is about the Word of God, and the second is about the Word made Flesh
3. The Focus of Mass, with the Sacrifice at the Altar, and the REAL Presence of our Savior found in the Holy Eucharist makes the whole experience more personal and meaningful
We do so in communion with each other, and with the Angels and Saints to Glorify God Almighy
when you put your faith in our Lord & Savior Jesus christ, you are supposed to follow him & his teachings ,so the correct church to go to is the church who teaches from the Bible (from the world of God),not the churches who teaches from our fathers, our fathers are humans, they make mistakes just like we do. 🙏
The music in Catholic Mass tends to be more biblically based, again quoting scripture or we are singing actual Psalms
But most importantly the Word itself is made Flesh, as Catholics do as our Savior told us clearly, multiple times and partake of the true Bread of Life
What most Evangelicals do not realize, is that the Catholic liturgy is completely based on, drawn from, and is fully intertwined with Sacred Scripture… even moreso than the Evangelical services… which interject more of a personal experience and structure to your Churches
Peace be with you ✝️
This is exactly what drew me to the Eastern Orthodox Church. When you step into the Church you’re leaving the things of the world at the door for the Divine Liturgy.

I became an evangelical Christian in 2020 because of strangers telling me about Jesus Christ. I’m forever thankful for them because the Gospel message gave me hope.
Acts 4:12
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Our faith should be in Jesus Christ, not an organization because the church can be infiltrated.
Acts 20:29
“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.”
With that said, I do understand the compelling nature of Catholicism and I understand why people convert to it. I honestly have felt some kind of spirit luring me, but I know the Holy Ghost and I have clearly seen the him manifest in my life. Not your usual Charismatic nonsense, but the sign of the Holy Ghost is boldness.
Acts 4:31
“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”
I have felt great boldness to preach the word of God on the streets like the apostles and if you knew me personally you would know that is completely against my nature.
1 John 5
Do you have Jesus Christ?

Welcome home
@@branpod going to church is not a sacrifice. The eternal Sacrifice is on the Altar. Continually thanking Christ for dying for our original sin.
Masses in English are just as good as in Latin or any other language.
Full of lies and hypocrisy
@@fantasia55 It is a regular nous ordo mass in English. The music is in Latin.
We are living the Great Return the Lord🙏🏽 I came back to the Catholic Church over two years ago and I'm growing in Faith every single day.
Converted 3 years ago. The Eucharist is the only way 🙏🏻
Jesus Christ is the only way
The Eucharist never saved anyone, ever! Read the Bible.
It’s interesting that Paul doesn’t say anything about the Eucharist in Romans 10:9 when he’s informing the church in Rome on how to be saved.
Thank for your brave testimony
Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you, save you from hell and give you eternal life ! we will gladly welcome you in the Catholic Church.
Former JW here too! Converted to Catholicism seven years ago!
@ wow!! How did you manage that?? I was baptized as a baby and so I had a connection but I certainly was not thinking I would ever want to be catholic

Been a protestant for 16 years. Used to be part of the Worship team, actively involved with our youth group. Was working side by side with our then pastor, went to a lot of interchurch events and joined in prayer events similar to ihop.
Went from the assembly of God church, then to an evangelical then a non denominational church.
While i had a pentecostal back ground, i also dug into baptist and reformed theology. Studied and considered a lot of protestant heroes like John Mcarthur, john piper, justine peters, francis chan, douglas wilson, james white, max lucado, john maxwell and so much more.
I can identify with everything you feel now. That's the early stages in realizing the meaning of following Christ. Next thing would be looking at the biggest questions we have regarding the catholic faith:
Mary and everything concerning her
The saints and praying to them
Confession
Purgatory
The catholic church as the whore of Babylon
The pope and the antichrist
The eucharist
All the links of idolatry to the catholic faith
And then you beggin to realize these are all false and baseless accusations.
But sweet as you realize you are home
And you see the Catholic faith is TRULY RICH. and there is a lot of work to be done to help the faithful.
Come home man. It's really amazing looking at Christianity in this side.

@kcobbx For me it's just the other way round. So, who is right?
@@gp-banjo but the Pope is supposed to speak for Jesus. To say all religions are a path to god, (they don't know whether he means lower case or capital), is to by pass the Savior, like he's non-essential.
It's deeper than that. What's happening is the manifestation of the true Church. God is doing the work Himself.
Extremely humble of you to share these thoughts. Thank you and I pray God provides for you all you need.

@@brandonluker3660 u don't think that happens to Catholic?
@@matthewashman1406 that's not what i'm saying at all. I'm just saying it's a very eerily similar experience that i'm currently going through but okay
This was a really great video. Your Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ love you and have been praying for you.
I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. Everyone has been so intentional on leaving good feedback so I wanted to return the respect. ruclips.net/video/-EEKhLVEWOU/видео.html
I would go to orthodox before Catholicism because of the papacy. Pope Francis seems like a heretic.
Also her ^^ content is great for reviewing Catholic understanding.
@ thank you! 😊

Protestant Church is not dying, it's only, people are coming to know the truth.
"To be deep in history, is to cease to be Protestant."
~ Cardinal Newman
Ironically he comes up with doctrinal development hypothesis because he couldn't find Rome's teachings in church history !
@@samg9592 I am deep in history which is why I am a protestant . Who the hell is Cardinal Newman
Catholicism allows the best expression of our need to not just be ourselves, but the best version of ourselves so we are pleasing to our Father:
There is a new kind of vulnerable trust that Protestantism never could let me feel.
You stated my story for me. God bless you!
Excellent book
Nah dude, 2002
I’m glad somebody else noticed, too.

Amen! ✝️💯
