To get around the city I would recommend the Lothian bus dayticket £4 (Jan 2019). Consider a trip to Forth Bridges at South Queensferry (number 63 bus from Gyle), then maybe Cramond Island (41), Roslin Chapel (15, 37, 140) or even a trip along the coast to Seton Sands (26). You can use on Edinburgh Trams (ticket not valid on/off airport stop). Dayticket valid from 6am - midnight. Use early for best value. Enjoy your trip!
Im flying there soon stay in Edinburgh for 5days to visit my late husband's family in Falkirk then London.. Scots are very kind and warm people .. i miss Scotland so much
I came here looking for this comment! Seriously, just say this video is sponsored by X, but to include an indoor trampoline in a 48 hour trip to Edinburgh? The nerve!
clearly a sponsored video. Arthur seat is a volcano not just a towering rock face & its the water of leith flows through dean village. never seen a canal boat casually sail over waterfalls....
I'm a local in Edinburgh. I'd also recommend my local pub, the Sheep Heid oh and a night out at either rat pack or jam house. Kyloe is also great for steak and fishers in the city for seafood.
thanks for sharing this. I'm a guide of London and must take a group of Americans to Edinburgh tomorrow for 3 days. I've written down these names and hopefully will go there!
Marys milk bar in green market is the most phenomenal ice cream you will ever have! Also the last Saturday of every month theres a flea market on dalmany street-just off Leith walk :) I really miss living in Edinburgh now...
I would like to visit Edinburgh Castle because I can see the walls that used to protect people, as well as see the royal apartments. I would like to visit Arthurs Seat because from there you can see bewitching views and a beautiful sunset. After that I would visit Holy Cow to eat delicious food.
You mention trampolines but no Grass Market?! Come on man it's right next to the castle and hosts the oldest and smallest pubs in Edinburgh! It's so dope!
If you like treasure trove shops, go to Aquarius on Bread and Spittal Street. Cheap food go to Wings, special dinner or lunch, Rhubarb at Prestonfields or The Dome on Grorge Street, history trip Castle or the Real Mary Kings Close and St Giles Cathedral, nice lunch or posh afternoon tea, the Collonades at the Signet Rooms (this is the very best afternoon tea you will ever have in your life...its really special). Music and drinks, the Ghillie Dhu at Rutland Place at the end of Princes Street/Shandwick Place, or cocktails at Tigerlily on George Street.
Check out The Witchery for somewhere fancy to eat/stay. If you’ve got kids or want something fun try Camera Obscura. For amazing fresh mussels/ seafood try mussels inn - but make sure you book ahead, the locals fill it up pretty quick. If you’re a Harry Potter fan try Diagon House on bank street and The Elephant house cafe where JK wrote the books ( really touristy but still cool). If you like hipster cafes try Lovecrumbs and for a good pub try the halfway house which is hidden down an alleyway on Bank street which is pretty small but serves amazing Cullen Skink! Then try out the Ensign Ewart pub for great live music 🥰
I loved walking on Arthur seat we went there in October 2018 there was a lot of snow back then. Dean village was like walking through a Harry Potter set no wonder where jk Rowling got her inspiration from. Sorry if my English is bad, Greetings from sweden

@@UNILADAdventure We have been visiting Edinburgh every year for over 30 years and still there is new things to see on every visit. e.g last month we walked past Arthurs seat to the Meadowbank area. Its got a great mix of music from Blues, Folk, Rock and country with a theatre style stage and an upstairs balcony. Whistle Binkies ( South Bridge) if you want a more alternative small rock venue.
