No matter what the pamphlets say. it takes more energy to generate 'wireless energy transfer' than it would to just plug the thing in... Wireless energy transfer would actually cause more global warming via consumed resources that just running a copper wire.
Wireless power coupling is very inefficient. FIY you still need wires run through the house to power the transmission coil. The coils are made of copper wires.
