      @KeithronPowell Thanks, Keithron! I'm starting off with low expectations of myself. I figure if I can hit one note during a song, then I'm making music. If I can hit 4 notes in a row, I'm making music. I'm working on the money beat as it will give me access to playing so many songs and variations of it expanding what I can play. Oh, I upgraded to the Titan 70 kit and hope it will be here in the next few days. I really appreciate your uploads.

    Aloha Keithron! Aw now y'done gone and did it! Started saving for a Titan 50, then decided on the 70, THEN found a rarely used expanded SD600 locally (YAY no shipping!) and thought, "What does Keithron say?" Imma pass on the used set, wait for the 70 to come back in stock--hopefully at a lower price (does Simmons do year-end sales?) so I can add a drum amp or two. See whatcha done did?!?!? I'd intended to just use headphones or IEMs, but there's sump'm 'bout the sound filling a room. Good thing I'm in the middle of a rain forest with few neighbours--HA! Mahalo for sharing your knowledge and passion!

    Thanks for continuing to cover Simmons drums! I finally pulled the trigger, and ordered the Titan 50 to use as a practice/fun set for home. I’m happy with the number of toms, but I would like to add an additional cymbal so I can have two crashes, and a ride. Is there a two-zone cymbal that you would recommend, that is compatible with this set? I would like to have an actual bell for the ride. Thanks!

    Great video! Loving your reviews as I'm in the market for my 9 yr old. Titan 20 looks like the way to go. Question: Is the Titan 20 collapsible at all when not in use? Maybe with some effort it could be tucked into a corner of the room? Just hoping...

    Hello sir question regarding the sd1250 drum kit. If i use a midi splitter cable for one of the cymbal in inputs, will it possibly allow me to connect an additional cymbal to kit using this method ? I am aware that the module comes with no extra inputs, so i an wondering if this will work. 🤔

    I’m looking at my first electronic kit. I’ve been playing drums for 25+years. I love the sound and look of the Titan 70, so really considering that. However, do you think Simmons will be kicking things up a notch with a SD1250 replacement? Maybe Titan 100?! Just asking as I would love the bigger Toms and snare but the fast editing in an app makes the Titan series so tempting! Would love your opinion!

    maybe its just my ears, or my imagination ....... But To my ears ........ The Simmons 50 sounds more good & like real drums than my freinds 2400 Roland set. His even have sort of an over produced kind of Edrum sound, thats after going thru every setting. Yet the simmons 50, every video Ive watched tells me Thats the sound I want.

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  11 месяцев назад +3

      The goal of an e-drum is to first mimic the acoustic drum. Simmons does a better job at that than Alesis. I’ve said in a few videos that the Alesis is over produced and over saturated to the point of remaining fake sounding.

    In your quest to answer questions I’d be happy to add a real smart set up suggestion to anyone buying Simmons or any other edrum kit that has an arm and bracket to hold the snare. I have a set up that will make the rack as a whole much much stiffer and more sturdy while also curing the bouncing snare so many inexpensive kits share.. it’s cool and I’d be happy to send you pics if you are interested.

    • @paulbfields8284
      @paulbfields8284 11 месяцев назад

      @@KeithronPowell well here’s the answer.. I bought a cheap 10” snare stand too… worked great but after a time it scoots away from its spot.. so I set the snare up on the rack arm as it should be and got it the right height then put the snare stand underneath the snare and tightened it up. It’s real simple but what happens is the stand keeps the rack fro moving and the rack keeps the snare in place.. try it… you’ll think you’re playing a set of high dollar Roland’s it’s so stiff..

    thanks keithron , I'm new to the drum world at my place of work they have a music room with all the good and expensive equipment i.e (TD-17 V-Drums) , but at home different story, time for me to get my own beginner kit , alesis nitro max or titan 50, price range is the same +/- $20 bucks in canada, i don't care about brands best value or dollar is key for me so i think titan 50 is the better product ( your comp video) , i think the add learning addons make a good point for the alesis ( beginner view) ,but for me the kick drum with the better double bass possibility on the 50 is the point that counts on my books.

    I just want the Titan 50 and go to the website & get the good stuff & delete the unusuable crap off the device. You mentioned in another video Simmons was going to have drum kits/sounds on the site you can get for free I hope , ... It will be my first brand new drums,ever & Im 59 & I LOVE the look of them. ...... Im also going to Cut the last frame on the far right(sitting facing them) & cut off about a foot, move the knuckle onto the good bar & attach the leg, Id move my symbol onto the upper bar & pull in the last tom a bit . Already have it worked out in my head. Yes its needed for support, but I wanna downsize slightly, take up a little less floor space & stability is no problem, I would have this Titan 50 arriving Tomorrow if only "Affirm" on amazon had not required my S.S. number to get approved. I';ll give a lotta info to get approved, but .........Not that.

    @Keithron Powell Do you also have a huge BG noise all the time? no matter what the Volume on those Simmons DA2112? All the time. People are saying it does not have enough sound, that is mostly not true, it depends on your drum head kit volume and different kits different volume. I have Titan 70 I was hopeful this Simmons DA2112 would be best. But nope :( I can't figure out how to lower BG noise... everything is LOW and it has that noise, if I adjust EQ it's even noisier :((((
