This woman had a traumatic upbringing. Sounds like her mother was not the most pleasant person. Thank goodness her sister helped her and gave her the doll. Sounds like an episode of the twilight zone.

I love the lilting, lucid tones of the doll owner's voice. I could listen to her all day.
Very confused by this comment. To me she sounds nasally and shrill. I couldn’t imagine finding her voice pleasant

uh I wouldn't have left the doll with 'evaluator' you just don't know what they will get up to
The fake roadshow people probably knew the true value and thought they could try to scam them out of the doll by offering to buy it for 3k to make quick cash grab not knowing the owner of the doll already had it appraised and knew what it was worth

if someone gives you an appraisal then offers to buy the item you can be sure it's a scam
She's beautiful! The owner didn't say how much her parents paid for her.
Probably quite a lot since they didn't let their daughter touch it and kept it in a glass case, and the mother refused to give it to her later on in life as well.

Sounds to me like she has a lot of trauma. Over explaining is a common symptom of PTSD, and her parents sound like narcissists to me.

The mother could have had dementia and honestly forgot. This was when the mother was at an advanced age and was having much of her things dispersed. My grandmother does the same thing, she honestly can't remember promises and important details from past situations.
This women still sounds salty about her childhood lol 😳
