My great aunt said 50 years ago that Noritake porcelain would become quite valuable antiques because it was well-made and was hand-painted.

considering how clumsy I can be I'd be permanently horrified to have that 8 to 10 thousand pound pot in my sitting room, even in a cabinet.

What is outrageous is that many ignorant and uncultivated people own pieces that inspied of beem extremely beautiful .like the lady with the canister keep it in husnad office ,shame shame ..and when appraiser closed piece in 10 .000 pounds she was impress for the money .no for the beauty of the container ..shame shame now she is going to display it ,in a cabinet probably full of real junk what a waste .!!! People please educate yourselves ..

They are getting educated. That's part of the reason they're on the show. Now they know more and decide what they want to do with THEIR items
