The last time I ate at Sizzler was 1989. It was on W Shaw Ave in Fresno. I went with my grandparents and mother. Funny how you remember some things like that. I happened to be driving in that area not long ago and was surprised to see it still operating.
I love this place. The prices have went up and the salad bar has gotten smaller since the pandemic, but it’s still very nostalgic and has good food. The quality and selection of entrees has went up, but I miss the larger buffet style salad bar. They had more dishes like pizza, pork, and desserts. You could add it onto a steak for like $3.99 in the recent past. Still, it’s one of the places I love to go when in Yuba City, along with Long John Silvers.
I was a manager at Sizzler in Redwood City and Santa Clara , you wouldn't believe how many senior meals we served every day. Some older guests would be there three times a day . Oh and don't try to take their plates before they were done, it could be dangerous 😀
The deep fried corn fritters were soo dang good. I remember people would grab a lot each time up on the salad bar. Then one day we go in and wham they are gone. One of the best items they had. Why they ever decided to stop those was a bad idea as we stopped going as the salad bar kept getting worse and worse over time.
My first job was at Sizzler at age 15 in 1988 Huntington Beach, CA. My mom worked there for several.years. I remember when they added the salad bar. Even the music sounds the same. Lol
Hello Yuba city !! A shout out from Farmington New Mexico. The last time I ate at this restaurant was in late 2018. Myself and my son's family enjoyed dinner before we all left for Farmington. Kudos Yuba city ❤
Brings back mouth-watering memories. I like the dinosaur looking chicken nuggets in the kids bar. I miss the two locations in Colma, CA and Daly City, CA.
I saw Canadian Geese at an IHOP walk up to me realize I was a deadbeat and ran away, If you liked that you'd probably like ponderosa's salad bar, it's a little heavier on the sides type section, liver and onions , some type of pasta dish, mash potatoes, still has a taco area and a salad bar area. Around 12bucks giver take.
It was a different kind of concept back in the day. Something new and different. It is not like that anymore with all the different kinds of restaurants and themes going on. For a lot of people It is a nostalgia thing.

The salad bar cannot be beat. I leave in the South Bay and the Torrance location is spotless and always a great deal.
Went to the Yuba City Sizzler for years, it was the best we ever attended and believe me we hit nearly every one we encountered.

Love the vintage commercial. Well done on the video. Let's get out there and do some more filming! Sizzler... makes me crave it.

My grandparents loved it in the 80s. We ate there at least twice a week.
Got the shits at the redwood city location .thanks
They have great holiday meals and are a good price. I like the Sizzler in Yuba City, CA. It's right off the 99 highway going towards Chico, CA.

I worked at Bonanza in the mid 80s. Very similar to Sizzler but their salad bar was bigger. So good back in the day!
We gonna Sizzler...we gonna Sizzler......

This was a big franchise in Australia too 😂

There are chickens and turkeys all over Tehama. As you know. They make for good photography.
And there's still a Shakey's in Oroville not too far from there 😃
There is one in Williams as well.
I can't talk my wife into going back to Sizzler. 😆
🤣oh man!
The famous Yuba City Chickens make a cameo.

4:22 - What a creepy logo... 😅
I see the Yuba City Mascots, the police will arrest anyone who tries to catch their dinner, this has happened to an individual.😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chickens have over run this part of town.
Cheese bread!
Let all of the dead plants and no customers guide you.
There were a few people there, but it was also about 2 pm when we went.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand why people like these kind of restaurants.
