PAC-OUT
So cool to revisit this episode!
Went to the Yuba City Sizzler for years, it was the best we ever attended and believe me we hit nearly every one we encountered.
I dated a girl from Yuba City.. Susan Scott.. never heard from her after a Jr prom. Oh well.
Like Weaverville, I too need to be cleansed of my wickedness and debauchery...
The salad bar cannot be beat. I leave in the South Bay and the Torrance location is spotless and always a great deal.
Anybody remember Pak Out? in Redding?
Working on a video for Pac Out. Doing the research now.
Had to come back and rewatch this episode. One of the best you guys did.
Cue the dancer…
Lol
😅😅😅
Awesome!
😂😂😂
Peaceful…
Awesome development here within the story!
This was well done! Such a nice update to a tragic story.
The whole story made me want to subscribe to this channel so I did. It’s remarkable that you found these. The original Ambush video was suggested to me by RUclips, and I found this after viewing your channel. Great job, great update.
Thank you and welcome😁
New to the channel. I appreciate your hard work preserving California’s history and heritage.
Thank you!😁
lol 😂
Just subscribed! I like the style of content you bring to the table. Thanks for preserving this history.
Thank you and welcome.
👏 👏 👏 👏
Cue the, “Benny Hill” theme song, lol!
😂😂😂
Man, you’re lucky to have found those cemetery plot maps! Good job, Jeremy! Nice update.
I agree, thanks to Tracie at the county for finding them for me.
@ yes!
Bravo 👏 Bravo 👏 Bravo 👏 Tuggle does it again, nice update, Robert! ❤
Glad you like it!
Sent over from Jeremy Tuggle’s channel, Exploring Shasta County History, I wanted to see what he found and this was truly amazing to see. Even with the error on the wooden marker of the misspelled surname. Funny how he found it while doing Find A Grave stuff.
Ya, for sure. The hospital cemeteries have been my pet projects for a while but I have not focused on Coear Creek as much as the other. Jeremy fast forwarded my research on Clear Creek lol lol.
I'm so thankful (and still quite amazed) that I was able to find that map. I know when we spoke the first time, I had suggested that you reach out to the Shasta Historical Society, and then you said "well I work for them" and I said "oh"....the understanding dawning on me, that sometimes even our treasured Historical Society needs a little help. We so often send people to you as a department because sometimes those pieces of history are well out of our reach. Thank you for the kind kudos, I didn't do much other than look where I thought it might be only to discover it where I never thought it would be. That, and I learned a few things about who has the most historical knowledge of that kind of history at a county level. I was happy to have helped and to be honest, it was fun!!!! A break from the norm and a chance to dive into something that I love (history AND cemeteries). I did have a question, after watching the video I was wondering if relocating those women to their native lands had been considered? Not that they should be moved but it made me so sad to see where they got left and it almost felt so isolating to me.
Thank you so much for the kind words and all the hard wotk. The historical society is usually the best place to go for answers but that plat map was pretty much unknown. I found it mentioned in a 1949 newspaper article. I also wondered the same thing about why these women were not moved to a native cemetery or why they were not originally placed at a Native cemetery. They had family. Like I said in the video, I have more questions then answers about their burials. We may never know. I am hoping that this video finds someone who may know.
Geeze Bob, you gotta learn some better steps
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Well done, Jeremy Tuggle! Nicely made update Robert! I’m a new subscriber to both channels. Long time watcher!
Thank you and welcome in
I remember contacting you about them asking you if they were related to those in the ambush video and you said no that there surname is spelled wrong, well a couple of days later I did the genealogy and turns out its the one and the same. Robert, couldn't believe it. I stumped him with this discovery. Sure enough I had to delete my records off Find A Grave and Robert merged his to this cemetery. They are the one and the same. What a remarkable find to be apart of. I was truly excited! Great video my friend!
You sent me the second photo of the other cross a couple of days later, showing the McKay name. I then knew for sure it was the two I was looking for. Misspelling and all. LOL thank you again for the find, you helped solve a huge mystery.
Sad but interesting story
Shasta County is chocked full of history!
It sure is, more than you would think.
And you didn't mention the 7 storie tunnle that was behind the Williams building downtown. They covered the entrance with the elevator the city made them put in ...for no reasion other than to cover up the entrance. The tunnels owned by the odd fellows....or the underground downtown.
Whole video in it's self.
Fullerton got its start because they area was going to be a toxic waist site. Calstate fullerton was put here to stop the dump from getting larger. The orignal site is now sunnyhill golf club, crossing the street going up the oil field.
How cool!
Thank you for filming this!
Radical! 😮
Exciting to see.
thank you guys for not twisting things to your own narritive.
Very cool, enjoy the park!
Cool!
Very neat.
Thanks for letting us know about this release!
Nice to see Jeremy in this video too! Thanks Robert, yours and Jeremy’s work are valuable sources which preserves our counties history and heritage!
Thank you!😁
Loved this, Jeremy Tuggle did a video too on him but this was different!
We have different styles which makes it nice to watch both of us.
Very cool.
I remember whiskey town my father and his brother Martin Lachney helped tear down some of the houses and I went to kindergarten in Weaverville in 1959 we moved to Central Valley in 1960 also went with my mother and uncle to watch President Kennedy dictate Whiskey town lake I was in third grade then my mom had a picture of it
That is so cool
Great burgers. Jack's Grill also started in 1938. Good eatin' all around.
