Met a guy that was duckett + sweet sixteens duel wield instantly shredded my hp when I got stunned
That was my build pre patch with Noct legs, but now I see a lot of people running it on the Alba.
I have seen them, they are no match for my double Earshot.
On one hand, I love that ducketts are more usable now and seeing it get so much love now
On the other hand, my personal favorite build is not as optimized as the Duck Blade build and it stings a bit that the weapons you love a lot do much better on this kind of setup XD
I know people are excited to try out a LW CQC build thats strong, but can't say I am a fan of facing such a build.
The speed, stagger output and sheer punish potential means you either are a build that can consistently avoid the ocellus range or have enough kill pressure yourself that you put the fear of god in them so they think twice before rushing in with AB.
It is Vientos all over again.

@@somechinesedude5466 The thing is the patch didn't push in anything new in terms of top of the meta. As KTN_ has said (and prooven) in the latest tournament, Lamm kite is still king and dual LRB + shield is still as obnoxious as ever.
But this does mean for more casual environments we do have more builds thanks to the generator and FCS changes which is a welcome change.

Though after Vientos were nerfed, we had Estujin BVO type builds. Now that Estujin is nerfed, we have Duckblade. I generally think that unless the devs just decide close range stagger punish builds should not be a thing, there will be a type of build like it. However I don't think it will be at the top meta. Even at the height BVO was viable rather than oppressive. People will always have builds they rather not face. For example, the infamous Lamm kite haha.

Im surprised no one is mixing up melee canceling or adding a shotgun to extend combos.
With all the melee buff to arms, using melee to punish stagger seems to be the trend
Me who use both harris and duckett since last season
Anyway, it seems everytime some weapons who's too good at fast stagger build-up always has its own replacement when they got nerfed (viento to etsu to duckett)
The wordt part about this patch is that my old 'sleeper pick' duck blade build is now meta standard 😅 at least I'm using soup instead of huxley
Thinking about using machine gun. If you get stagger then huxley deactivate and I feel like huxley miss more shot than the shoulder machine guns.
Instead of huxley I use wuerger to combo with the melee for extra punish or some upfront burst impact in cqc fights(also charge wuerger is just cool). Buuuut yea means I'm really mostly using just ducketts for stagger build which can be rough on some matchups. And doesn't help the arms I use on my favorite build doesn't have the best firearm spec, good recoil control at least lol
Same, had 2 duckett builds before the patch and feel weird using them now that they are the meta. Oh well, guess I well go back to trying different tetrapod setups and see what works.
Good fights as usual. How do you feel about 1.07? Other than the meta shake up, the only direct impact on your build is the uncharged nebula projectile speed, I believe?
It goin into better way, but Im upset that top meta build are still the same.
Even DuckBlade is strong, but it still not on the same level as ZimmShield and Lamm.

Punching buff
duck blades are easily countered by kiting with mid-close range weapons, as shown here. the build type is overrated and only popular because some people said it might be good.
At least they weren't using huxley with it. That's the nastiest one so far.
So dude how do I master Shield like you and how long does it take
You need to understand how each weapon work, and their basic technique first to blocked them effectively.
And then practice a lot 😋
I use shield for more than 500 hours already.

BVO-style build with ducketts
dual ducketts, pulse blade, and bullet/laser orbit on shoulder. Mimics the older bvo style which was basho arms, dual vientos, bullet/laser orbit and then melee weapon of choice.

Gotta say I love the duckett buff but I hate seeing more pistol blade builds I was running pistol builds way before it was cool! 🥲 I’m not unique anymore 😩😩
