@@Chrightt I knew there would be a sequel, I'd love for you to flesh out the origin story and some of the "in-fighting" that occurs before the main character (I don't wanna give spoilers) the back story really roped me in

I appreciate the breakdown between Harris and the RansetsuRF. Where one charge attack is used to stagger and the other is used to punish it seems like there’s room to use one each, the downside of the burst is mitigated when they’re staggered. Might also make arms with a little less recoil control viable, too!
I was the full jailbreak build that you stomped on there. Cool to see myself in a video but yeah the jailbreak build started as a joke but I got a little too attached to it and made way too many decals for it.

Love this build. I’m also glad to see the Kasuar head used cuz I want to find more uses for it and no really important character in the game used it
I have a build similar I call Wendigo. Dual Ranny-RFs with the 6 cell direct missiles. The idea is that its designed to just circle targets and chew them down reliably. I don't mind being stuck in place, I just don't vibe with charged ranged weapons in general.
I use Harris on combination with charged pulse blade to insta stagger into earshot

I saw that video too lmao, my go to build is two handheld missles on a alba frame and 3pms on my back so i can just fly away fast af away from builds like that
It would be interesting to see this build revisited after the recent Harris buffs.
I didn't have any HAL-826 parts so I made a knockoff of your build using Locksmith as a basis because of the similar aesthetics. I had to use Melander arms for recoil control and C3 legs to wring some more agility out of Fluegel thrusters, and my knockoff is still slower for less AP and Stability. My only consolation is that the lower performance parts mean I could get 4.8k EN Efficiency from the VP-20C, but I decided to play around with Laser Drones instead of 5x Plasma Missiles. 3.5k efficiency is running it lean and piloting the modified build is tricky, but the drones are a really neat twist with a lot of damage potential and it's been fun pushing 'Lockset' through chapter 3 of NG+. I should probably use the VP-44D head instead of the Kasuar but the latter looks a lot cooler with Locksmith's colour scheme.
Really fun fights
Curtis is good too with higher dps and sustain at the cost of some bust and some spped
Something that irks me is the fact that bullet velocity is not a listed stat even though it was a stat that was listed in acfa. It's essentially the end all be all for a weapons accuracy and being able to know how accurate a weapon is before you use it

I found that I didn’t like the charge attacks from those rifles most of the time. One reason is because they freeze you in midair for a full second for some reason. I don’t understand why that’s so prevalent in this game. The price you pay to use it is just to be frozen in place like a sitting duck while you’re waiting to pull the trigger.
Because there are two leg types in existence, tetrapods and tank treads, that completely negate those weaknesses you mentioned. It’s a tradeoff in comparison to regular legs that give more defensive points per weight than the irregular legs do.
I think in the expansion/ sequel they need to just get rid of the charge stance or shorten its animation. The tank legs and quads have too many advantages. Higher AP, no stance pause, high defense, now they are slower but we got hard lock soo being slow suck but you can maintain a visual at all times.
May I ask why you never hard lock? Is it better with the harris?
Do you think Buerzels are too good at letting very heavy builds rush into CQB?

Yes, Buerzel/Assault boosting is a bit strong atm because of how fast it closes distance despite the weight (also good for ratting away). Personally, I think they should try to increase the startup of assault boosts very slightly (like +0.2s) and see how it works. It's a small change but it should make ABs less spammable as you would have to consider your startup frames more so you can't just spam it everywhere and not expect to get punished.
I know I may be in the wrong place but I need a hand in optimizing the following build cause I have run out of ideas on how to do it (it's designed for pvp primarly):

Normally I play it as a medium range flying tetrapod, all of the weapons are good options to generate impact while majestic, harris and trueno are normally for punishing. The needle missiles are also employed as a long range alternative when someone refuses to approach to at least poke them while I get near them. Any idea on how to improve the build?
I would personally run the P10 for faster missile lock on because both of your missiles require a long lockon time. The Nacht arms are there to make up for this. For the booster I would do 12345 because they work well with floating tetras thanks to their long QB duration and the fact that tetrapods don't use booster speed but rather weight scaling when they're afloat. If you have more than 3.5k en efficiency after these changes I would run Verril head over Melander head unless you're picking it for the fashion.

If you fly up or drop down, you gain + vertical momentum to your horizontal momentum and are thus faster. Simply flying up and down or bunny hopping is enough to give the hard lock a difficult time. Better explained by Royal Skies: ruclips.net/video/apzkDYzyBqs/видео.html
Would the higher rate of fire for the Curtis be an acceptable substitute for the damage of the Harris?
The data seems to show that Curtis, Harris, and Rans. RF are all similar at the end of the day.
Chrightt can you make a pvp guide video? I always see to struggle against meta builds and I feel like the netcode is wonky as hell

I dont like the harris, the standard fire rate is too low, and it isnt as rewarding for me over a regular ar. They should set the ransetsu off a bit more, just make it a bit heavier and just make it a burst ar like the other ransetsu models. It would differ from the uncharged and charged harris, by being a direct middleground.

I'm on PC and I don't think I changed many of the default mappings.
I despise kite builds. I think the game is the most fun when both players use melee.

If it possible for you to make PVE builds also?
Many of my builds can be ran for S ranking PVE. Sunset is a bit less suitable for boss battles because it's on the slower side but if you just want the clear it'll do just fine. I suggest trying out builds like Cloud Striker or Azure though, but I can definitely showcase more PVE oriented builds.

I made a Mantis build guys! Sorry I didn't mean to steal attention away from the other builds but I realized the head piece V 4 Pater uses looks like one. With tetrapod legs to complete the look, you can shoot the linear rifle and move at the same time! That and using the plasma thrower also allows movement for some insect like sting with the moonlight which got a buff recently!
It's funny to me seeing the people use spreadsheets to optimize there builds and then I just come in with a grounded tetrapod and for some reason no diff them with *a Grounded Tetrapod Build.* I tell ya, its halarious
Weakest link in every AC is the pilot! Doesn’t matter how crunched your numbers are if you can’t fly it 😆
