I was using a guitar that hadn’t been used for quite some time and it eventually broke In and stopped doing it. However I had ordered 10 new switches for like 20 bucks and my friend soldered a new one onto to his guitar to fix the same issue, now is like brand new.
@@ZombieNationLTD atleast I only paid 6 bucks for 12 of em tho I guess and this guitar was free I'ma try this I had something like this going on but removed it when I installed new ones
Just installed new switches and it doesn't overstrum because I disabled upstrum to test if I press it all the way down and lift up slowly at a certain point it will just make it keep strumming idk how to fix it lol. I mean it was a free old guitar that was gifted to me and I only spent 6 bucks trying to fix it so not that big of a lose just sucks because I got into guitar hero again only to have this bullshit happen I'll jus have to buy one one day I guess
@Lunastein00 Those are *micro switches* . If you're gonna replace them in the future (if you already have done that), make sure you type in the model name/number that's located on the side of those micro switches that came with the guitar originally. There's a lot of micro switches that looks like it but doesn't the feel the same at all (trust me, I've tried and it doesn't feels good using it compared to the original micro switches...thankfully I managed to find one for a pack of 10). Best of luck to you! Those who are reading this, the model name/number is *3A250VAC*
@@hashrulsubzero I jus bought some switches and installed em still have double strumming it was perfect for like 10 songs then started double strumming. Sometimes I'll hold it down and it'll count as 2 wtf is goin on lol
Maybe someone will come in handy, there was the same problem the overstrum stopped working, rummaged through the Internet and found that these switches are called Omron SS-5GL. Disassembled, soldered, and everything works fine. Switches can be bought on Ali or look in your city on the radio market. Sorry for english ;)
I did found one of those Omron SS-5GL but turns those micro switches were meant for computer mouse, so it doesn't feel the same when I'm using it. When pressing it, those Omron switches doesn't have the same stiffness and doesn't make a loud click as the ones from the WT guitars. The ones that I found online ( model *3A250VAC* ) is exactly looks and feels the same as the one in the WT guitars.
My guitar registers two strums when I strum Upwards but it’s not because of ricochet
Same, did you find the fix? If you did can you tell me how to fix it?
