Not shown but at the episode ends with the ensigns getting a better food replicater, Boimler getting excited then the below. Shax: "Sounds like the one thing the Borg left you with was your appetite" Boimler :"Hahaha They took everything that I was"
I'm looking forward to the Cerritos having an actual encounter with the Borg and Boimler being either 1) kept from engaging with them the whole episode just to rub in how easily he could have beaten them or 2) just walking all over the borg and shocking everyone.
it's too bad no one went over the records of boilmer's attempts well they'd probably be going over all of them once the captain declared that the test master was rigging them but yeah it would've been interesting to see the rest of the cast react.
Sad, just sad. Not sure what is worse, the fact that he kept going again, or the fact that he Borg Queen didn't think he was human. Also curious how the simulation doesn't automatically end after he they start the assimilation process.
I love how they had a shock reaction hearing boilmler say that in a simulation. I know these thing can be real but damn no safty measure to make sure someone does not end up with ptsd as a borg
I noticed that to. I don't think anyone got that ending of the simulation. Also, I think each attempt overwrites the result before it, so I think boimler is stuck with that 8%.
Winning with a perfect score and continuing amyway might break the simulation's failure trigger. The program has basically already completed so even though his actions are continuing to update his score they can't cause it to end.
@@wendyheatherwoodthat would be a good explanation. Unfortunately in universe, we have zero confirmation that is the case, just that for some reason Boimler isn't going to restart the simulation.
Even Picard's assimilation wasn't 100% complete so maybe the simulation has a 0.01% scenario of 'Boimler gets his second wind and overcomes his assimilation by the heroic power of his humanity', hence it's letting him continue.
@@BenDaresAll Well, technically, even though he failed, he still had 8% and by this point it was not unheard of for Borg drones to return to their "human roots"(Picard, Seven of Nine, Icheb and those 3 kids that were with him). So it's not like it was totally impossible for Boimler to turn it around. Just unlikely.
I think the idea is that because he’s kinda on the same wavelength as the test maker he could think up a solution that roughly comes from the same kind of experience she had with these scenarios ie: read everything about the Borg
This has to be the most messed up traumatic experience in the whole show and they just walked all over it…
Welcome to Star Trek 😂
Nothing a few drinks can’t fix.🍺🍸🍹🥃🍶
Starfleet officers don't process trauma, they just just warp to the next episode lol

Bro Boimler would probably have PTSD after that Borg drill
PTSD ?

I know who else did.
Jean-Luc: NO! NOOOOO!!!!
3:33 Ransom genuinely cares about Boimler. But then, Ransom isn't the jerk he sometimes seems to be.
1:40 I just can't get over Boimler's epic hero pose with the Brad Boimler Bjorn Bandolier of Borg Babies

But if you think about it the tests are rigged and bomler still beat them multible times.
Boimler is like me whenever I am doing a video game challenge and my friends are like: "You can stop, you've beaten all our score--"
"I Said AGAIN!"
Sad, just sad. Not sure what is worse, the fact that he kept going again, or the fact that he Borg Queen didn't think he was human. Also curious how the simulation doesn't automatically end after he they start the assimilation process.
maybe there was still a path to victory?
It is based off actual experiences of other starfleet members and this one was definitely based off Picard
This is the scene that convinced me to watch Lower Decks.
I bet even Q continuum was a bit surprised that this weasel allergic to sand was able to pull this off, even in a simulation.
I like the borg babies
Gotta love how they got Alice Krige back to voice the Borg Queen...
She outdid herself in “Event Horizon” and “Silent Hill”, absolute queen of the creepy .
I saw someone cosplaying as Boimler with a borg baby
😂

God bless Tendi. Such a lovable character.
Borg Queen being Hydro-Homie. I love it.
Love that they workwd in an even more epic version of the 'Borg Battle' theme from The Best of Both Worlds.
I think boilmers drill should ended when they did the implant? Plot hole? Or writers just wanting to show “Borg Boilmer”?
Winning with a perfect score and continuing amyway might break the simulation's failure trigger. The program has basically already completed so even though his actions are continuing to update his score they can't cause it to end.
Yeah, I really don't think Boimler being assimilated by holographic Borg makes sense.

I am excretus of borg! 😂
😂😂😂 I didn't catch that the first time... 😅
They should have given him his 100 %.
*There is no Boimler, I am Excretus, of Borg*
Anyone else catch that when they cut him out, the tool sounded like a sonic screwdriver?
Riker: “I am Erectus of Borg.”
Queen: “I am not calling you that!!!”
Boimler is the gamer is always get 100%
If Boimler had been around for First Contact they'd have to change the name of the film to Last Contact
So getting assimilated by the Borg and losing your humanity still gives you 8%... what the hell does it take to get a 0%?
Getting the federation assimilated
dying?
Not assimilating well?
Usurping the Queen as the new Borg regent?
Not borging right
Boimes got the moves
as much as i love boimler for the sacrifice to his mental health.. he could have just finished the test and retried like every other time
getting under pass, turns the whole thing into a fail.
What a scary virtual reality simulation.
I'm surprised the babies didn't try to assimilate him.
You saw them poking his cheeks? That was their best attempts. 😅
@@UGNAvalon LMAO I suppose so.
The implant joke 😂😂😂😂😂

How could Boimler even pilot that sphere? Borg ships don't have LCARS or analogue controls!
He seems to be well versed in dealing with Borg.
Maybe he did simulations to fight them in his free time?
It kind of pisses me off that LD is the best Trek we have.
Prodigy is good too
I think Brad Boimler learn from CaPtain Archer and MaLcom Reed to Use Bombs on BorG
I'd have accepted the first results 😅😂
Wasn't all the tests rigged so how did he pass them

He's just that good.
The sad part is I think each attempt overrides the one before so he might be stuck with that 8%.
Don't forget, Boimler took and failed the Kobayashi Maru seventeen times.
