- This is an updated mix of the track “Pictures of Matchstick Men” by Type O Negative with Peter Steele’s vocals added from the demo tape. My previous video on it ( • Type O Negative - Pict... ) has the history of the track in the description, but needless to say, it’s tough to find in good quality. Vocal isolation/removal software has improved over the past year, as have my ears and mixing. I think this is the better mix, as the vocals have less artifacting and are more clear and wide, as they usually are on Type O tracks. Also, the previous version of this song featuring Ozzy had a music track that was way loud and overloaded, so I tried to soften it as best I could to bring it in line with the October Rust era. This will probably be my last try, unless a better quality tape or some miracle software gets released. Anyway, enjoy.

The original is classic 90s Ozzy, just reverb and auto-tune out the ass. Love his work in Black Sabbath but he was a complete parody past the 80s.

This is one of my favorite songs. I remember when I first heard the Ozzy version I wished that Peter had sang instead. This makes my old dream come true.

This has always been one of my favorite type o tracks, thanks so much for your effort and work in getting this song known and preserved. Listening to the clean vocals after being used to the grainy version is like hearing it brand-new all over again! It's really really appreciated
Finally a clear version. First song I heard by type with ozzy when I was 4 in the back of my dads black Camaro with the sound system. Tear up whenever I listen to this

Beautiful! I remember getting to know this song because of your previous video and after that listening to the Ozzy version. Both were great, but Peter's vocals were haunting and had that heart-wrenching feeling of someone who is in pain. Listening to your mix with improved quality is in a whole other level. Brilliant. Now the one remaining goldmine that we've been close to having as Type O fans but don't have... a clean (without audio watermark) version of the totally unique mix of Drunk in Paris called Loud and Queer, that appears on the LIKM advance copy with a horrible watermark, but was pretty much scrapped and remixed entirely. The version with the watermark remains unavailable but with your software and abilities this should be relatively easy to make.

Much obliged thank you for putting this out kind person. Who thinks Josh,Kenny and Johnny should come back for a reunion tour??!...given there is only one Peter and he can't be replaced understood yet its a shame their catalog can't be enjoyed still today live.

The world may adore it, but it's much too sanitary to move me.
I'll forever stick with the organic analog noisy but warm Maxell Studio Cassette MS-60 version that he sent to S. & me, and the rest is apparently continuing history thanks to the old dying diehards and the new generations of willing victims to the virus that was Type O Negative.
That Sounds like a cool story behind having the original audio that I'd like to hear.
