As a bourbon guy I’ve watched all the bourbon related videos on the Whiskey Tribe channel and love the question about balance of flavors: can I request / suggest a part 2 to this? Once you ID the flavors such as oak/wood, corn/grain, sweetness, vanilla, caramel, etc…then do a video that highlights bourbons that actually skew heavy toward each of the individual flavors as opposed to something that is balanced. Hope that makes sense. Love you guys, keep up the great work!

For some strange unknown reason, I'm always more attracted to the square/rectangular bottles than the regular bottles. Maybe that's even one of the reasons that I like Woodinvilles besides the good tastes.

Walked by the FEW bourbon and rye many times lately. The price is pretty reasonable but I heard the term "weird" from others so I didn't try either yet. Thanks for your review!

If I had to pick notes that really should be in a bourbon, I'd say brown sugar, honey, a little bit of black tea astringency, oak tannins.
If I had to point to a benchmark, I'd still say the Henry McKenna 10 BiB would be my go to.

Funky corn idea. The corn they use for corn cob pipes is a special variety, bred for a more substantial cob, and the corn itself is sold as a higher nutrition corn. I don’t know if anyone is using it in whiskey. Could be interesting, and it presents some fun naming opportunities.

I've found whiskey to have too much of an after bite, but that's always been with Jack Daniel's, I do like jim beam. Maybe I've never had a good whiskey everything is to expensive in the southern hemisphere.

That green bell pepper is more akin to being found in Tequilas. I really find that character in Mezcals which use a smoked agave. That green pepper/jalapeño are really apparent on the nose an even carry on the palate. Very vegetal is the word I'd use to describe it. I'd say you should branch into that field because it's an entirely different beast. And if that's something your palates like, it can really open your minds to new ideas and appreciation. Could even pull in an entirely new demographic of drinkers to the channel.

They don't do the distracting over-editing fast cuts, but they add enough flare and fun to highlight the comedy happening throughout the episode.
