I would love to see one of these in person someday. It looks crazy nice, but all the electronics scare me for sure. Thanks for the video, JB.
I don't like the all black interior that most of the Jeep Gran Cherokee's come in.
Recently rented this 2024 Grand Wagoneer 3 Obsidian 4×4 for a trip from Miami, Florida to Douglas, Georgia. Only had 3 miles on it. We were the first ever drivers. "THIS SUV WAS GREAT!" The ride, the power, the technology, the roominess, the cargo space....Everything "FIRST CLASS!" We unfolded the window sticker that was in the glove box. "118.000 thousand dollars!" We did not want to return this vehicle to the rental agency! This is a fantastic SUV. Even though I can't afford it, I'd buy this Jeep Grand Wagoneer 3 before any other luxury SUV brand. That includes Suburban, Expedition, etc......
There is no comparison!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I’ve had the Series 111 Obsidian, white with black roof for a couple of months now. I LOVE IT!!! Coming from a 580 Mercedes that was never my favourite vehicle.
I like it, BUT..escalade crowd won't be going to jeep, and jeep crowd is NEVER going to go for these prices, it's far cry from what pays the bills for the company.
Great video, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a beautiful SUV!
Interior is beautiful but the exterior is ok af best. The sides and rear are odd looking. Front is ok. It’s the interior that’s on another level.
It’s ugly. Waggoneer exteriors never age well, this one will be no exception. Edit: I’m talking exterior. The interior is very nice but I see too much stuff on the inside that will fail sooner rather than later. At 112k it might set records for depreciation.
There are widgets in this world that have a cost /value ceiling no matter how much bling is soldered onto the widget. $15 fast food, $12k mountain bikes, $290 cable bills, $280 Best Westerns and $100k Jeeps. I mean $120k Jeeps, $100k is the starting price, smh. Since I watched the first riveting commercial a few years ago I've seen maybe 3 of these in affluent Orange County CA. Strange times we are living in. This vehicle is meant to be driven for 3 years under lease and then given back because it will be nearly impossible to maintain down the road when things start to break out of warranty.
true ,to much bs tech, need a lower price ,lighter , less tech, more utilitarian 4dr Cherokee model no 3rd row, solid rear axle , trial rated -tail hawk, add on board generator like the f150 power boost , ideal car camper /overland travel wagon
The interior, especially in the second and third rows, is much nicer than in the Escalade. Thanks for a great review!
I have a 24 obsidian and I love it
Wow, I thought my 91k truck was crazy expensive, but it can tow 24k lbs.. Prices are insane.
120,000 for a Jeep no thanks I don’t care how much luxury it has it’s a freaking Jeep
That’s a whole lot of luxury! Too rich for my blood though! I will say these look really nice in person though🇺🇸💪
its a 3 row luxury Family school bus .nice it has the tow package is really hard to find, lot or most dealers never order it
What are the numbers on the tow package? Also what are the RPMs required for peak HP/torque?
Axel ratio 3.92 with the tow package , base model , no opts = more payload and towing than a fully loaded model ,all the opts add wt and = less payload and towing . id say 9000 lbs, real world 8000....but where are you towing? over doner pass or flats of Kansas ? , remember hitch wt is part of the payload and how many people are in the tow car ? i
@@youtubecarspottersguide1 those are all good points. I’m talking specifically about the tow rating number (lbs) on the rear tow bar and female hitch. I already own a tow vehicle/truck, I was just curious. Plus I can’t afford this jeep! 🤣 The only thing I tow is a 26’ travel trailer. If this Waggoneer is rated to tow 9000 lbs that would be impressive.
@@viewmysunset7100 my guess is 10% hitch wt / tongue? 900lbs . my airstream is 25' 6200lbs 800lb hitch I use as 1/2 ram is does good id like one my self but price I stay way
@@youtubecarspottersguide1 I have a Rockwood mini lite. Dry is only 5950lbs. Fully loaded with full tanks right around 7000lbs. I bought the travel trailer first thinking I’d pull it with my mother in laws Tacoma with tow package but as you can imagine the numbers are too tight. I never tried. I bought a 2022 6.7 F250 to haul the Rockwood. Overkill but for the price of the F250 with 41k miles on it I couldn’t pass it up. One owner and no accidents. It’s the base XLT but very clean and I didn’t buy it for luxury anyway. They wanted 47,500 and I got them down to 45,500. After trade in, taxes and fees I paid them $43,500. The biggest weakness of my 6.7 is the payload. Only 2500 lbs. It’s ok though because after 870 tongue weight of the Rockwood I still have plenty of payload for my situation. I’ve never owned a truck before and I enjoy it immensely.
I don't trust the Hurricane in this application. It feels too strained and revs too high because it is so big. I'd prefer the 6.4 for sure. But I don't think we'll ever get one of these.
to heavy
It originally came with the 6.4 in the 2022 and 2023 model years. They dropped it in favor of the Hurricane since it's their new flagship engine going in everything. This is based off the RAM 1500 platform, which also got the same engine for 2024.
It’s interesting how Jeep has become a luxury brand for Stellantis while all but abandoning the Chrysler brand. Makes no sense to me.
Question is how well will this suv hold up in 20 years will everything work still? That’s the big question great thing to think about going to a very electronic vehicle I’m all for Chrysler but all those things are just another thing for things to go wrong
If you get a JGW S3…even with no option groups….very well equipped…ask me how I know…… a little chrome y, but not the traditional very bright chrome…..s bit more subtle, kind of a cross between brushed aluminum and chrome. Regular Wagoneer S3 has black window trim. Very roomy and even the Hurricane S.O. engine (Wagoneer) is way above adequate. The only way to truly black out the accents is to get the..”Obsidian” package….or as I call it….”Obscene” package…the night vision and “Fam Cam”……..”Cash Cab Cam”…..is a good touch….standard on the Series 3. Make sure you have a decent fuel budget…..JGW and the Hurricane HO is 91 Octane…”Required”. In North TX….no 91….have to step up to 93…..regular Wagoneer SO engine is 87, but 89 recommended for best performance…..yes expensive, but definitely luxury, and probably still cheaper than Cadillac Escalade with comparable features or very close and better IMHO…..pretty much all colors except Black obviously are the black roof and not sure if can be ordered without. Black roof blends in with the Baltic Grey and Midnight Sky the best. There is one more color that is not black, but motor of a very dark Grey that works good too. Great video, but definitely consider blacking out the trim if not getting the Obsidian package.
Would take an Escalade, or Navigator, or LX600 over this any day.
Give me a denali ultimate or escalade sport over this. The escalade you looked at in the previous video was a base. Get a sport or a premium luxury platimun escalade which are the top trims and then compare
Short term goal.
It’s a bad ass SUV just can’t afford it
We just ordered the all black L version of this yesterday with the 2nd row center console instead. I'm truly annoyed by payloads of these vehicles to stay under certain gvwrs. Does anyone believe this vehicle cant carry 8 adults which would likely put is over it's payload capacity? That does not even include anything being towed... Gonna be using this for lots of family trips we do but the payload seems insufficient to even carry that many people let alone their bags and things... Do we really believe all the gvwrs? And do the manufacturers actually believe these or just streamline registration for target audiences? I saw a relative's Toyota Camry with nearly 1k lbs of payload. Does the manufacturer actually think wagoneers can only safely carry 300lbs more weight than a camry? Or is this something with insurance/ liability for certain vehicle types or what?
Weren't you the same guy who posted with his wife selling your own that you had for a year? What is the kickback chief?
Here for the McIntosh system demo 🤦♂️
So you telling me for 120,000 I don't get soft closed doors not a good deal because Lincoln and Mercedes offer this feature unacceptable😂😂
Jeep’s parent company Stellantis reported sales dropping from 973,227 in 2018 to 642,924 cars sold in 2023. In the blink of an eye, Jeep sales fell 34%. For the first time in many years, Jeep’s market share in America has fallen below 5% of new car sales. - CarEdge
That's crazy. I guess it happens, building expensive vehicles, leaving your customers behind. 😕
Yep pricing them selves out of business
@@mred3660 yes jeep was once a true off roader this is a 3 row luxury Family school bus
@@matthewholzmueller6292 over wt , to much tech that will be obsolete in few years
Never pay for the "Destination Fee", it's a fake fee.
With all theses new electronics running threw the vains of new vehicles have the manufacturers upped the warranty???? Or do they still give u 3/36,000 and that a joke ,do any of the company back there lux boats to 100k……??or there confidence drops off at 36,000..??
Sorry.. not enough rubber between that rim and road.
I know that I sound like a boomer and it might look cool but regardless the design sucks !
It’s just a Jeep
