On 'Center Core' I used Deluxe Paint III, a very easy pgm. to figure out, even without the manual.. It was one of my favorite programs.. too bad it was never properly ported over to Windows.. if It were, I'd rush out and buy it today.. Jim

I've watched a decent number of animations and demos from this time period, and I'm so impressed with the unique style of this piece. The textures in particular set it apart from other work I've seen. And I love the mysterious sci-fi devices she sees in the store window! This is truly something special.
Years ago when I first heard this I was sucked in by the hypnotic rythms and the surreal visual style. If someone was to duplicate this feel with the commodore graphics styling, the couplet or prose poetry and the eerie post-rock music style; it would have its detractors, but it would create a cult following.

I keep coming back to watch this video. Actually incredible when you think of the technology Jim Wilson made this on and I've now been working my way through his other videos. Seems like he was a really creative guy who knew how to make thought-provoking and captivating videos and I was sad to hear of his death. Zeit Geist I realize this was made in the 90s, which is why they used the effect. The old technique was used because it was the only thing available at the time. I'm just calling it old-school because it doesn't get used anymore.

I have a lot of old Amiga pgms. that I'd like to run again, but my old 500 is in need of a boot floppy drive to work again. I've still have an external drive for it that maybe I could take apart and install internally, I don't know. I have all the original anims on Amiga floppy that would be nice to transfer over in a good quality digital cam....Maybe someday.

This is absolutely amazing. 9 year after first seeing this the voice and atmosphere still creeps from my memories leading me to spend 30 minutes looking up the name and being taken away again
This masterpiece, this work of art could have a legacy that remains a mystery considering the maker of the animation has since passed away, as well as one of the two musicians who recorded this track. It would be interesting to attempt to contact possible family or friends to discover if more recordings exist, if more animations exist. The amount of work that went into creating this should not be forgotten. I am enamored by this wonderful piece of art.
