The score is so moving it feels like a character in the show, and I love the different versions as if it has personalities. (Piano, music box, violin) Unbelievable, beautiful, a masterpiece.
I wish i knew what thoughts and ideas went through your mind when you composed your music for The Leftovers, and also your one called 'November'!!! :D Your works that were used in that show made it incredible and couldnt have been the same without! i cannot thank you enough for the music you brought to the world! if not for The Leftovers, i may never have heard of you.... i consider myself like a 30-yr-novice piano player, haha, i play by ear, but i have never been as obsessed with learning something on piano as i was with your music from the show! everyone asks me to play it over and over too! I am not creative enough to create any of my own music, but being able to play brilliant music like yours, is awesome enough!! :) Will forever be a fan now! Thank you
the coolest part of this too, is you explain it in such an easy way for anyone to understand :) Also, very cool teacher-like explanation and then demonstrations too!! thanks for inspiring me too, i am next gonna have to learn that one you mentioned here, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" always loved that song too! Its a lil bit of a late request, but how did you come up with 'The Departure" and "November"??? well.... anything id know from The Leftovers, basically?
Thank you for sharing, sir. I appreciate it. When I compose, it's all stored in my head. I can't look at sheet music. Epilepsy. It's not written down. That won't stop me from composing, however. I simply adapt. 🙂
Just remembered I needed to check for Taboo's score. Thought I would never see the day and forgot about it hah. Anyway, thanks for the music Max, this score is exceptional.
One of the best pieces I've heard in a while. Oddly enough reminded me of "Once upon a december" from Anastasia. By the way, is there a video where you just play the full tune on piano?
What's the last piece at the end? It's similar to 'The Onrush of Events' and 'The Inexorable Advance of Mr. Delaney', but it has more strings in it than those two.
Hey there.. Would love to watch this as I'm a budding composer and a huge fan of the taboo soundtrack.. But here in the UK I get "this video is now available".. Any idea? Thanks!
Use a youtube-proxy site. I've tried proxfree myself which works well. You can then enter this video's url into the proxy and open it as if you are in a different country, that hopefully isn't geoblocked in the UK.

Am I wrong or he always says "Thomas" when he refers to Tom Hardy?
Honestly wasn't listening to what he was saying because I was so distracted by his gorgeous face. DADDY
