The work he composed for her for the innovative "In 27 Pieces" recording, "Mercy" is stunning in it pure beautiful simplicity. One of the most striking pieces on the 2-disc recording and last on the track list.
Hilary: Your diligence in understanding the music by getting to know the composer and not just performing the pieces is brilliant. I met you 10 years ago in LA. I had just turned 40 and told you that I had begun to study the cello. You were gracious and suggested some day we should play duets. Well, I am still playing, and even had a successful audition for La Jolla SO; am ready for those duets! We would love to have you perform with us some time too! Thanks for all you do Hilary.
What an exquisite piece of music his Mercy is And what a beautiful performance Ms Hahn and Ms Lisita gave of it last night in Charlottesville. Thank you, Ms. Hahn, for your performance -- and for these interviews. Entertaining and enlightening. But especially thank you for commissioning these wonderful pieces of music and performing them on your tour. It appears that the composition of classical (?!) music is coming alive these days thanks to you and others like you. (And YAY for Ives!)
this is so exciting! It is inspiring to see the creative process of composition. I think that the interviewer has a style all her own. She may have discovered how to ask the right questions by talking to a certain violin case often posting(currently vacationing)on twitter.

My radio station played "mercy" and I found it beautiful. It prompted me to look for the piece on YT and I found your video.
I love Max Richter.... love his work. Thank you for this one too....
Two of my favorite musicians together! Thanks, Hilary. This was a real treat. ~ Jude
Thank you for the interview, Hilary. I can't wait for your monthly updates!
Thank you very much for these videos they are very interesting and inspiring.
Hahn and Richter, two of..if not the most gifted artists.
Max Richter is entertaining, I wish the interview was longer.

Ms. Hahn has a kinda-new hairdo! It's shorter and more layered. Nice interview. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Awesome interview Hilary :-)
I love her. Also love him. :)
Tough to interview such an eccentric fellow.
I am happy to buy your album from iTunes.
very cool, thanks :)
When is this album going to be available?
So writing a double concerto and a piano piece isnt normal for someone that is 15? interesting... Is there any way to contribute to the project?
