I'm so glad you gave them a 4 out 5. My Grandfather was a chef for Morrison's which turned into Picadillys for 25 or 30 years in Athens, GA. I kid you not, when Mr. Hugh (as everyone called him) was in that kitchen that food was a strong 5 out 5. The fried chicken was always stellar. They used to serve a real roast beef with small potatoes that was delish! That carrot souffle ain't no joke. The rolls as you stated, are wonderful. The cornbread used to be soo good, but the quality has declined in recent years. Thank you D for your graciousness. May God continue to bless you!❤❤❤
Darius, get the full plates along with a ToGo container to pass along the left overs to the next homeless person you see. I'm sure they'll appreciate your kindness
When Piccadilly's closed in Virginia I cried. I have so many fond memories of Sunday family dinners, graduation dinners and meet ups with friends. Their chopped beef, hot rolls and corn pones are my favorite.
Piccadillys is my childhood in the 80s in OKC (crossroads mall). My mom cooked everyday and Sundays but once a month my dad gave her a break and we, family of 5, came to Piccadilly cafeteria after church. I learn how to carry my tray lol. My mom made sure I always got the green beans or corn lol. I loved their roast beef and gravy and them dinner rolls. Gosh this is so nostalgic for me😊😂🥰 PS...Piccadillys closed in the 90s...then came Luby's lol. By then I was grown and my parents went to Luby's every Sunday practically lol
I first tried Piccadilly when I lived in Texas back in 1983 and since I now live in GA I eat there sometimes they were good back in 1983 and they still pretty good 🙏🏿✌🏾
I worked to one of the Piccadilly's in Jacksonville FL, for 20 years. They closed that location this past September. That was the last one in town❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yaas baby I remember those Thursday nights was kids night and I packed up cars to take ALL the kids in my neighborhood. They used to have raffles my son literally won a nice bike. The food was always on point 👍
I went to college in the south...Morrison's cafeteria in Hampton,va...was delicious. And I heard great stories from older family members that Picadillys was great back in the day. I miss old school southern cafeterias like this...the food was always good ..far better than Golden Corral.
That one used to be so good. We went after church back in the day but I haven't been in years. Moved away and now I'm thinking I might try one in VA. Fingers crossed its still good 🤞🏽 😅
Hey Darius! Picadilly's food is good.😊 Picadilly's here in New Orleans closed down.🤨 You have to go to Metairie now to eat at Picadilly's. The only one I know is on Clearview Pkwy. In Metairie,La. Not far from New Orleans. It's close to Veterans Blvd. Also good, is the liver and onion with mashed potatoes, broccoli rice, and fried catfish.😋 Their prices are reasonable.😂 🙏💘
I used to visit that location after church or before bible atudy when I lived on the Eastside. I still go to Greenbriar since I live on South Fulton and I occasionally stop at the Godby Rd or Fayetteville locations but they aren't as good.
Here in Memphis you have to go the right Piccadilly. It use to be pretty good. But now it’s crap. Food not seasoned. But Sir you know that the cabbage can’t be mushy to start on the line. It’s constantly cooking as long as it sits.
My first time experiencing food at Piccadilly was when I moved from Atlanta excuse me from California to the ATL and it was awesome then they disappeared😢 so where you found a Piccadilly boo. I can't keep up with you so I'll be getting the memo late😅
Wow . I love this We had one for year in Macon, Ga Wow You're in for a Treat . Love this place for years Macon donor have none no more . You're going Very happy Stockbridge got too 👄👄 You're are so late Dear🤭🤭🤭
Yes, no more Old Country Buffet here in Wisconsin. I used to love taking my kids when they could eat for $.99 on Thursdays. I believe the last one we had in went out of business 8 yrs ago. Never been to a Piccadilly's, I do remember them being in Memphis, TN when we used to visit family growing up in the 80s and 90s.
I eat there until the owner died in 2020 in Norfolk, VA. We always ordered spoon bread and a roll. Always. The one in Stockbridge, GA didnt have it and I asked her why. She said spoon bread was a Virginia recipe and thing. Come to find out it is.
I’ve only been to 1 piccadilly about 20 yrs ago. It was a very popular one in either Toronto or Montreal Canada. I think it was Toronto though. Great experience.

The beefy rice may be made with Lipton onions soup mix, I make that at home sometimes.
Great video where did you get the pullover 🙂
Hey Darius, can I say this restaurant is home away from home. Glad you discovered what we've known all along. Peace.
