I-Team: BBB warns customers about online Atlanta food personality

ATLANTA - The Better Business Bureau of Metro Atlanta issued a warning about doing business with a celebrity online chef based in Georgia.
According to the BBB, more than 70 customers of Darius Cooks complained they paid for cookbooks, cookware or tickets to his Dining with Darius cooking events but didn’t get the product.
And they say he ignored their requests for refunds.
"BBB advises consumers to use caution when doing business with DariusCooks, LLC," the nonprofit organization warned. The statement also pointed out that none of the complaints were ever answered.
"Respectfully, I don’t care," Williams told the FOX 5 I-Team when asked about the BBB warning.

I tried to warn my friends that I had a bad experience with his trash ass and they insisted on paying for one of his dining experiences. I told them to count me out and they decided to buy my ticket because I wouldn’t. The event was at the beginning of the year… ask me if it happened, or if they got their cash back. 😂 I don’t even feel bad for them because I tried to warn them.
He had them fools dipping plastic cups in a plastic trash can he made koolaid in for drinks. You can’t make this stuff up. 🤦♀️🤣

There seems to be no shortage of people who want to fawn all over a narcissist.. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?! I’ve also been in restaurant biz & fine dining for 25+yrs.. $300 for “7 course meal” ? That’s more than $40 a course. While I haven’t had his food & he looks like a decent cook.. those are Michelin chef gourmet prices & he sets people in basic fold out chairs & tablecloth, no atmosphere. The whole thing is bizarre. He makes it look like he’s selling out 30x$289.. for 3 different nights in each location? In over 50 locations? Fishy as hell.

She had him fired from the show and he harassed her too. It’s a damn shame because he can really cook. He has great recipes and talent. It’s a damn shame.

My friend gifted one to me. It is nicely made in terms of hardcover quality etc but poor recipes. Most seem incomplete and it would be terrible for someone who isn’t a n experienced cook or baker. It’s like he threw ingredients on with little to no detail on prep or tools. I was so shocked as I didn’t expect that the content would be poorly executed.

He makes weird changes to make it seem like he invented the dishes he cooks and i very much doubt he makes these recipes on a regular basis which is why he doesnt know the measurements. And you have it backwards. Popularity & money didn’t do this to him. People need to be taught better about narcissists. I remember ordering a cheap book, from an Atlanta online comedian and if not sure if he was in jail or what but I e-mailed and e-mailed when the book didn't come, got no response...I reached out to my bank and had the charge reversed. @@myriamwilliams I used a prepaid card, I try not to use my banking with unfamiliar purchases. This was a while ago though I’ve learned a lot since then & do way more research on these new IG sites.
There was an elderly African American woman named Miss Holla who passed earlier this month. She gained fame all over social media with her comedy. And when she died this month, some of her relatives came under opposition from many people all over. The attack on the family was due to them using a "Go Fund Me" account to raise money for Miss Holla's upcoming funeral, and their possible misuse of the money raised. The man here known as Chef Darius Cooks was one of the opposers to the family. Mr Cooks and Miss Holla's family went back and forth. After a relative of Miss Holla's said that Mr Cook himself was corrupted, that made me research this.
I was following that too. I’m here because of his recent drama involving a man named Juanito.

I enjoyed watching Darius when he first started his cooking on fb or youtube live. I even ordered one cookbook (I received as expected). However, the past year I haven't watched him as much. His ego and attitude towards his customers just trying to get their product was disgusting. Plus, when he drinks he talks...way too much. I was done when he made this long post about Nelly's peen when that whole "D" pic was floating around. My immediate thought was, "he's going to ruin his brand". And now look. An "F" from BBB probably means it's a wrap.
