Imagine working on a day rate in a BUSY shop with constant walk-in traffic…your making X per day because of what you do and the other artists in the shop are making double what you make a day because they only take the walk ins…do you think that artist working on a day rate shouldn’t raise their prices? The obvious answer, “stop doing full day pieces” doesn’t work because the kind of work they do requires that kind of time. Prima Donna my ass…
