    That was wonderful! I would love to see more of the reduction process for a cane this shape since I'm somewhat of a newbie to PC, that part always seems to give me fits. Your instruction is so clear and the cane is beautiful. I will be watching this more than once that's for sure! Thank you for making this vid and letting us know that you don't have to be perfect and that we should be having fun making our projects.

    Best tip in the video: Confine your stripe pieces to a flat strip of clay. They won't wander as you try to fit them around the heart. Make sure that the strip is at least 1 inch longer than the shape you're wrapping it around. Good stuff!

    I love this cane! You make it look like I can't wait to try it! In new to PC. I have a question? Once you finish this cane and put the pieces together - what do you do with it then? I see so many beautiful canes bit what do you do with the, Boise making jewelry. What would you make out of the cane above now that you have all the pieces together? Thanks! Lisa

    How can you keep black clay from marking up the other colors in the cane? Black seems to get everywhere with me. Thanks! Love your work!

    • @TeresaPandoraSalgado
      @TeresaPandoraSalgado  10 лет назад

      Diana, it might be the clay you're using. I use Premo and it doesn't transfer color much. Hope that helps.

    I am new to polymer clay. I understand reducing a cane that is one inch long and 3 to 4 inches diameter. And maybe I can visual a deduction of a cane half inch long. But the cane you showed at the end of this video looked to be only 1/4. Inch long or high and 3 to 4 inches in diameter. I under stood you to say you would reduce it down to a much longer and smaller diameter. Wow, would like to see that. Being so thin to start I would think it impossible to keep the design from distortion. Even if you did use the coffee lids. Hope you understood what I was trying to say. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and time. It has been very helpful.

      Hi, Doreen. Actually I made beads from this cane. Itty bitty ones. Send me your email address and I'll pop you out a picture. :-)

    • @Zac400ex
      @Zac400ex 10 лет назад

      I watched the last part of the video again. And now understand you just cut it that thin to show the end design. I understand now that you would have reduced the triangle shape more before you would have cut it up to make the circle. That would have given you a longer circle Cain to reduce. Sorry I just had to listen more carefully to what you said. Thanks again.

      Is your clay crumbly? If that's the problem check out Cindy Leitz's Polyclay Tutor video. I think "how to condition hard clay" is the title. She cuts it into slabs and hits it with a hammer and it seems to work.

    When u make a cane do it FASTER! Especially if you say it's easy cause if you make the video long it seems hard to people. SO MAKE THEM SHORTER!
