    I thought for sure it was going to run right off the table! 😂

    So glad you warned me it was longer than 5 minutes cause we got deadlines to meet

    I’ve seen other cities with the tram stopping and going back but no one ever said how they did it . Thanks!!!

    I had no idea that sensor existed. Trying to incorporate a train line on 2 4x8 tables in a L shaped layout meant alot of curves and a ton of wasted space. This will help tremendously! Thanks!

    That's great. Thanks for sharing. If I will ever build a LEGO city, this will be the solution for the train

    It’s a slippery slope, soon it will be “Jason’s Bricks in 65”, videos of around one hour or less. Thanks for demoing this component, I’ve always been curious about it!

    I got a Lego light and color sensor too; you scan your Lego pieces, and it tells you what color all your faded Lego pieces really are now. It is so Oswaldified.

    U think Joey just added some of these to his cart. Lol. Think I may add some if I remember

    Thanks so much for sharing. I had no idea that it was so easy to add a colour/light sensor. I'm DEFINITELY going to get myself one to try out in one of my PU trains. - MANY thanks again.

    Now I 'have' to look up that colour sensor thing... maybe I will use it...

    I just converted the old Bricklink Monorail Skyline Express to a motorized light rail, so I'll be using this for sure in my city, thanks for the info.

      @BrickTrains Feels like I just recently watched this on your channel,🤔 (but yours was a bit more complicated.) I wonder what's next, perhaps classic space!😊

    Very cool! We have the LEGO Boost set that has a different hub, but I think it has the same color sensor as what you have. The programming app looks similar, but I had a hard time getting the hang of it. We built a couple things with the set and experimented with moving and sounds, but I didn't quite figure out the sensor. The only thing I know we used it for was the roller coaster; it started the lift motor for a certain amount of time to get the coaster up the hill and then stopped. But that was something preprogrammed into the Boost app and I didn't want to mess it up. This was a great video and well worth going over 5 minutes!

    That’s rad! You need to put one of those on the skateboarder now

    Just an fyi, there is a commuter train car that is called BUDD RDC and it would be nicer looking than an engine and one passenger car but a person would need to MOC it.

    I bought a few of these sensors at the last sale. Can’t wait to follow your lead and try it out for the Winter Trolley! Thanks!

    Great video, very informative and helpful... I’ve always been too intimidated to mess with the sensors & stuff... now it looks like something I want to try. Good job selling some color sensors for LEGO, you should be in LAN 😉

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  Месяц назад +1

      No because if it was garbage I would have told you and they don’t want that lol
      But I understand your feelings as I was intimidated as well but was pleasantly surprised with how easily it was to use and how well it worked. Lego bc apps don’t always do that.

    I need to get this so I can have my train working! since I've had to condense my city for my space stuff.

    I have my winter village tram going back and forwards with 5 second stops but I didn't use the colour sensor. I just timed it at a certain speed and it stops and starts the same way. You obviously have to put the timings into the settings app in a similar way just with a timer icon. Useful if someone doesn't have a colour sensor like me! But great video for when I get one of those sensors. Thanks 😊

      @jasonsbricksin5  Месяц назад +1

      I never thought about that use of the app. That is very cleaver of you.

    • @sandra1620-ni
      @sandra1620-ni Месяц назад

      @jasonsbricksin5 I can't take the credit for it. I saw it on another RUclipsr's channel. It isn't as accurate at stopping as the sensor so I had to add buffers to each end to stop it falling off the table! But it works just fine for the short time I have it running.

    I bought a bunch of sensors a while back, started using pybricks for automating switch points and so on, but then I went all in on 12 and 9volt systems 😅

    Thanks so much for this video. I bought the sensor but haven't used it yet. Last time I went to the powered up app on my phone it wouldn't work. How on earth would you be able to do this with the controller like I have. That's for another day. Much appreciated 👍

    I tried to copy your coding for my train, I wasn’t able to make it stop and reverse correctly, since the train detected the color and stop but it stop after the light so as soon as it start going reverse, it sense the color brick that just went passed and stop again and reverse again…..
