Do you think something like amsoil quickshot would be a quick solution to clean some of the ethanol related gunkups? Like every few months administer some in a full tank?
Did you have to remove the carburetor completely out of the engine to take out the float bowl/chamber? or can you take the bowl out, without removing it completely from the engine?
My truck starts but idles really rough. When I first bought it, it ran rough but it's been getting worse and worse. It's almost like a surge which in guessing is fuel related. It revs up pretty well just won't hold idle. I have replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and that didn't do anything. I have also checked the two solenoids and they work as well.
There is a knob on the side, that is the idle mixture screw. I don't think I show it in this video. It's on the passenger side under a little white cap If not that, maybe an idle jet or passageway is clogged in the carb. Sometimes I've had luck just keep running them, and getting them hot. If it is gummed, the heat can help dissolve. Put fresh fuel or Avgas from your local GA airport, and run it like you stole it. If that doesn't work it is too bad clogged open her up and clean it up, it doesn't take long for ethanol to gum up and clog the tiny holes. Have you checked the air filter? I had one saturated with fuel, wouldn't idle well.
I have taken the carburetor apart multiple times and cleaned it, no change at all. It's hard to tell if it's getting either too much or not enough fuel. It didn't do it last time, but before that It would kind of run, but right before it would die I could smell raw fuel.
What are some signs that the solenoids on the carb are not functioning correctly. Is there a valve or a solenoid that gets activated after the engine comes up to operating temperature? It seems like after I have been driving my Acty for about 20 minutes it starts to sputter in third and 4th gear. If I increase the throttle it goes away.
How many fuel lines run from the fuel pump to the carb? I disconnected what I thought was the fuel line but the ACTY still starts and runs, even with gas not going into the carb...
our acty when you hit about half throttle it take off and runs very high rpm and does not come back down. we shut it off and restart it, it will idle normal and again at half throttle it takes off.
Sometimes my hh3 dies at stop lights from idle while warm. It sometimes cuts out and loses all rpms on the highway then back fires then sometimes comes back. If it doesn't come back to life it will sit and I crank it for a few minutes then it comes back. Sounds like solenoids?
@@USMiniTrucks fixed my idle problem I replaced the ignition control module used a 1988 Prelude as cross reference :) runs so smooth and idles perfectly

Just got an Acty van today. Had a buddy test drive it before I got it up to me. Said it ran fine. I got it and it will idle but when I put it in gear and accelerate it tries to die? Pretty disappointed. Do you know what it could be? Smell gas like it’s running rich.
@@haydenanderson1925 I'm having a similar issue here: Idles a little rough, but really struggles once you start driving. Noticed a gas smell and realized some gas was dripping out the air box after it warmed up. Did you get your issue resolved?

You will have to remove carb to access float and bowl.

GambleFabrications did you use ngk plugs? Check the ail filter, seen em' saturated with fuel.
brand new spark plugs installed
maybe a stuck EGR valve. I've got a truck with a similar issues. only happens on occasion.

Replace the spark plugs.
Did you get this fixed up ? Iam having the same issue

Yes. I have seen this before, it is the computer module under the dash.

When I turn my AC on it drops the idle from 1000ish to 5-600 any ideas? Tried adjust ac idle but didn't seem to do anything

Spark plugs were wet like it was flooded, changed them out. Still running the same…..
