Haha glad to hear I’m not the only one who asked FURITEK if they would sell that RX separately. Before FMS started selling the RX by itself, I bought it as spare parts to the Hobbyplus CR18P Evo Pro. But it comes in a bundle with a MG41 transmitter.
I literally just messaged furitek today about buying a reciver for my ascent 18. But didn't realize fms had one. I'll be ordering a couple this evening
thanks it is helpful. I need to ask you can I change the receiver to fly sky receiver and how I control all light with one channel FMS did they use bus system or bus2 system to control all light in one channel?
Yes. It will work with any fcx24 or 18 except the M. I haven’t tried on the M yet but I am pretty sure it’s a smaller motor mount. But for all other fcx 24 and 18, it will drop right in.
I haven’t tried, but I would assume the hardest part would be the plug. You can try to find and adapter or make your own, but then it should just plug right in. It will definitely take some custom work though.
Man, a super useful video thanks! The connectors did put me off upgrading my powerwagon all that much. Nice to finally see some options for bolt in brushless (to a degree) Those adapters are epic, hoping I can pick up from UK amazon. QQ, i seem to have electronics (transmitter) on my powerwagon that are stuck on forward break reverse. Ive tried holding the bind or rev button (cant remember which) and it doesn't work. Can you confirm that this is the case with certain versions and if i upgrade to this esc receiver combo ,that i will get forward/ reverse? Thanks
Yes… I think there was a very limited version of the power wagon that was setup that way. Maybe reach out to FMS and let them know you go that version and that you’d like to see if they can send you a new remote.
Now, that being said, I am not sure if that remote would maintain fwd brk rev when you use the new RX and ESC. My thoughts are no, you would get Fwd/ Rev because it’s usually in the RX on a brushless setup.

@@TheShopMiniRC ok it’s weird then because I tried with two different RXs from flysky that I had lying around and the “old” MG41 transmitter and nothing worked, the lights turned on when turning on the ESC but channel 4 did nothing. I’ll keep on trying then! Thanks nevertheless
@@ericcolorado746 I’m sorry Eric, I mistook which system you had. In this system you can not adjust the BEC. If you have it in the stock fcx24 k5, and your servo is no longer working, and you know you haven’t unplugged anything from it, my guess is the servo just went bad. Reach out to FMS and see if they can send you a replacement if it’s still fairly new, otherwise, look at a new servo for it.
@@TheShopMiniRC I bought a servo from ramp crab, I tried plugging it different ways, even tried a 3 prong adapter. I plugged in my old servo from an scx 24 and it worked, but not the ramp crab servo.
thats an issue with fms... have to buy friggin $100 worth to get free shipping otherwise for most of their stuff the shipping can be double or tripple the price of the part.

Nice!!!
had already swapped out the rx so my brushless fms and esc when it gets here is good to go.
Nice!!!

You can swap to any receiver you want. For the light controller I can’t remember what the control system is. :-/
Beginner question, so is this RX, plus the Brushless motor and ESC fron the K5 pro are plug and play with all the other FCX18, FCX24 & FCX24M?

Do you have an idea how can we plug the hummer 1/18 lights on the lights control module?
I haven’t tried, but I would assume the hardest part would be the plug. You can try to find and adapter or make your own, but then it should just plug right in. It will definitely take some custom work though.
do you know if that receiver will work with the NB4?
It will not.

Trust my luck getting one from a very limited batch! Well only one way to find out, but it looks promising from what you say, thanks 😊

Awesome much appreciated 👍
Do you need both RX and TX in order to use the light control module? I tried with the Furitek RX and TX (the flysky as fms) and it didn’t work
Just the light control module should be enough.

@@alessandroporro8828 using the light controller?
are there any other light controllers that are compatible?
honestly, I am not sure. If you find one, please post here.
I bought that brushless system and I have no steering, any thoughts? I have tried everything.
flip your servo plug around? make sure its in the correct channel (channel 1). Maybe you had the esc BEC turned up to 8.4 volts and fried the servo?
How would you turn the bed down if that’s the case?

@ sounds like an issue with the ramp crab if the scx servo worked.
That seems like an awesome way to save money on a transmitter, but fms chargs 15 for shipping. Seems steep.

I hear that. Maybe another retailer that carries FMS product will carry the RX at some point.
