In the late 80s and early 90s, it wasn't uncommon for racquet companies to sponsor juniors. Prince sponsored me through highschool and i still have a couple of the oversize cts synergy db26 sticks left. I got a total of 6 racquets from prince. Then i destroyed my shoulder in college and that was it.
agreed! I play regularly (4x a week) and have only 1 racket. I would like to test more strings, but I'm afraid to choose wrong and end up influencing my game in a bad way
I am a casual player so I just carry two in my bag. But I have a few rackets in my collection (mostly collectible ones - Dunlop Revelation 200g midplus, Prince Original Graphite 90 series, Wilson ProStaff original 6.0 95). I love old rackets and sometimes use them.
45 racquets here. 30 of them are the variation of Blade 98, (16x19 and one 18x20) a few Ultra v2 /v3, 4 or 5 of the pro staff 97L / 97ULS and 2 of the Burn 100 18x16. Over half of these (mainly the UL / L) are all custom balance, custom grip size etc. I need to downsize....lol
Furthering the discussion of having so many racquets, how about a video on racquet matching. Quality control of racquet specs is so poor overall, that it would be very helpful.
Great question, when it comes to racquets I would stick to the same one almost always for much better consistency. You can test out different string in your racquet but come tournament time I would settle on one string for both racquets, just in case one pops you know the same performance can be expected from the other.
Great video we both carry 3 rackets and compete regularly!! We just came across your channel and love the content you produce!! We also post tennis videos and would love to welcome you to our channel and videos!!
That might be dangerous. I took the full video in 1 take which sadly shows some flaws with my speech I’ll try and do better. But anyway take care and Happy Drinking.
@@racquetology I don't think it's that big of an issue. Everyone has their own verbal tics, and as long as you're understandable, it's no big deal. Your speech already sounds very good.
I would probably buy a Prostringer machine before I got beyond four rackets, so that I can restring quickly.

1 if your learning. 2 if you can break a string. 3 if you break strings often. 4 if you play tournaments. 5 if your a pro.
It can make sense to have several rackets regardless of your level if you want to try out and compare different strings.

Me who breaks strings every 3 days has two rackets😥😥
And when I bought a third one one of my other ones cracked😭😭😭
Sorry to hear I hope you have better racquet luck in the future. Take care and happy hitting!
Sounds like you need more rackets
You probably need a thicker gauge
You still need 2 regardless of the player level. I'm an average player and carry 3 rackets.
Awesome video! Would it ever be a good idea to carry a second racket that is different from your main racket or string differently?
Hi Jose Personally I wouldn't reccommend it as can affect your game, one string might be for power and the other spin

If you tennis coach you have 12+
Haha yea that’s also a possibility. Also some people will collect frames like myself, right now I have 84 racquets and hope to keep it growing.
I have 12 x rf97 a
Send me one
@@devinotero1798 how about two :)

You cud have made the vedio 5s long by saying the more likely you are to break a string the more rackets u carry
