They’re really cool and while I completely understand why some people have accused them of ‘selling out’ I really don’t have an issue with it - it must be dull as hell for a band to play the same stuff all the time and honestly her voice is too good to waste on standard metalcore (not that there is anything wrong with metalcore. So I’m digging a lot of their music across their career and liking all of it. Blood, Roots, Adrenalize, Black Wedding, River of Fire, Black Wedding all killer tracks. Looking forward to checking out their earlier stuff next!
The first time I ever heard something by this band was when they were opening for Rob Zombie. I had no idea who In This Moment was, but then this blonde woman walked out from backstage wearing an old school party dress with a full sleeve tattoo, and then belts out this massive metal scream and by the end of the song, I was hooked. The next day, I was the proud owner of almost their full catalogue. They have changed sounds from album to album which I like.
Okay all you metal snobs... this is heavy for mainstream metal, but I can’t relate to him. Whenever I hear a riff that is super powerful or words that perfectly line up with the emotion of the music or a breakdown with enough energy to make your entire body explode I’ve been known to tear up a time or two...
In this Moment has a lot of really powerful energetic songs that are amazing, but I also highly recommend songs like The Fighter, which really shows how powerful her voice is and the emotion the band is able to convey.
I think their song, "Whore" was the first one you reacted to of theirs. They've got several really good tracks. "Sick Like Me", "Adrenalize" and "Sex Metal Barbie" just to name a few. They're definitely worth seeing live at least once. It's a fun show though Maria's costume changes limit the number of songs they play even during a headling set.
The whole Black Widow album is a masterpiece. Give it a listen, you won't regret it. And if you have the chance (in the future), go see them live. Their entire show is a 2 hour video kind of like this one. Powerful, spectacular, incredible, memorable.

Definitely by far my favorite In This Moment song. Was disappointed they didn't perform it in the first concert of theirs I want to, but then they did it in the second concert, and I was so happy. That one part of the song where she just goes absolutely NUTS is definitely the part that really gets to me. Pumps me up so much. Gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it.

Ok, this is a good, classic In This Moment track. Her singing style is very unique. She really chews up her words while singing and that makes this song so great. My first experience with ITM was "Blood" which you should still check out but both songs are drastically different but at the very same time have all the flavour of Maria Brink (lead singer). This is not classic ITM, this is modern ITM. Classic ITM is Beautiful Tragedy, The Dream, and A Star Crossed Wasteland. Some of their best material is from these three albums.

In this moment is one of my favourite bands. Im listening to them since 2009 and what is amazing about this band is that you can hear evolution of their music from album to album. Normally you can make your top 10 of songs of one band but not with In this Moment. Too bad that live performances are never better than studio records. 😢
