yeah man apparently the older verisons of them where much better they where hard to buff, but now a days the newer ones are easier to buff!

There great markers but you need to buy there ink after a week n you can put any alcohol ink in it but streaks real bad

Right now my favourite mops are grogs becouse i had a street dabber Who i loved but it started leaking and it broke

Grogs have a rly good flow, i havd a 25 fmp, i liked it really much but it started to leak so i bought a street dabber, and its even better
Store receipts are my go to quick practice mediums. It's the only reason I still keep receipts. Pretty fun leaving some that I've graffed on.

Seek out your smaller sized operations, and local graff businesses to share the love too. JAG arts, CG, Machine Studio, etc., all great at what they do, and still small enough for personalized interaction with the writers.

Personally my favorite on the go marker is the presto press n go. Small, cheap, refillable, and can practically write on anything. Love the vids bro!

Long time artist, traditional, digital and other here! Just to add to the recommendation list for alcohol based markers: Touch and Touch Twin Tip are my favorite, they're def in the "artist marker" price range but they're cheaper than Copic or Prisma. It might be useful to remember when picking a marker that Prisma and Copics aren't designed for the same purpose fr, i see them compared strictly on cost and performance but they're def set up to accomplish different things. Prisma is designed for bold, graphic work, its a lot of consistent, saturated pigment with firm nibs. Copics are for full illustrations, details, subtle colors, gradients and muted tones- they're designed to be layered with themselves to achieve what a single marker cant (hence the insane color library) and they got that brush tip to give the stroke more play. Touch falls right between the two and works well for either purpose, each have pros and cons but Touch has the most versatility. Also, big one for me cus I work in a lot of crappy sketchbooks and draw on the front and back of every page: they dont bleed nearly as much as either of the above.
Tip: there's a lot of cheap knock-offs of name brand markers, these tend to emulate the body, nib and ink formulations of each, so if you're looking for something similar to a certain type searching the brand you like tends to get you closer in quality than just "alcohol markers for artists" will.

Montana Street dabber and grog are awesome. Just make sure you keep the bottle straight when you open it so the tip doesn’t fall out and all the ink goes on the floor… been there 😢

HUGE TIP ON MAGIC INK MARKERS!!!! Want it to be Hard to Buff? Then get yourself an Empty Magic Ink container for like $5 and some Hard to Buff Ink by OTR and when you first get the Empty Marker, the sponge that holds the ink, will be a little compacted so before filling it with Ink get some type of pick and try to reach the bottom of the sponge and pick at it so it expands and it holds more ink when pouring in the hard to Buff ink and once you filled it you can close it carefully and BOOM!!! You got yourself a custom Hard to Buff Magic Ink Marker

Don’t waste money on copics, get a graffiti sketchbook with paint paper instead, and a piece of cardboard to put between the pages while painting.
Don’t waste your time with acrylics for bombing, that’s for your sketchbook and murals that you have permission for.
Only use Molotow permanent and dang for cans, use molotow paint for marker refills, use strong etch or meffians rust, use only solvent based paint and ink for bombing.
Use your etch acid on masonry, paint, and concrete, and be sure to wear neoprene, nitrile, or rubber gloves.
Use sign blanks and pieces of sheet metal, cerakoted instead of slaps, glue them on with industrial instant grab, you can clean them up with graffiti remover or acid when someone covers them up, and nobody can rip them off.
Learn about stamp carving and fountain rollers, stamps are better than slaps or stencils.

idk if its even a good suggestion, I was at dollar tree to test out the old bingo markers since they were finally in stock, had to wait 1.5 months but I wasnt in a hurry. anyways they have chalk writers, sure its removable, but I am just trying them out on pane of glass at my place, they have them in neon green, neon pink, neon blue, white, and a few more and I am just sucker for neon colors.
edit; I guess I should add that I do have various paint marker in markel, unipaint from work, carry a bic corrections pen which alot of people I guess dont know they are refillable, they just have opposite threading, so right to loosen, left to tighten.

Awhile back I brought some alcohol markers from office works called born to create they are pretty good and got some born to create acrylic paint markers to for canvas work they are pretty good to not bad at all for a office works brand

hey man, you could but you’d have to make sure it’s really thinned down, and have to make sure it’s oil based paint and not waterbased
you can use waterbased but it’s kind of crappy so yeah
Get oil based paint and thin it down with paint thinner, and play around with this thickness of the paint, you want it runny but not too runny

for australians: the best supplies for beginners is australian export paint (helps because harder to control drips etc) and any chisel tip from officeworks, mops are overrated.
if u wanna get better quality stuff get empty grog cutters and flame paint
Grog is cool but the Cutters literally have the worst nibs that are way too soft and turn to mush. An empty Molotow will last 10x longer and unlike the Cutter has a standard sized replaceable nib.
