If only... part 3 will probably have the same writing team as part 2 so i dont think the difference in storytelling will be as much of a leap as 1 - 2.
It'll most likely go the opposite and everyone who loved pt 2 will love pt 3 and people who didnt like 2 will still dislike 3 (though i think its possible that pt 3 might unite both)

This isn't a confirmation on a part III however a DLC maybe for Tommy.
He literally said that he have already a concept for third game so it’s pretty much there a sort of development for part 3.

Not a confirmation. He said Tommy’s story isn’t long enough for a full game so we’re probably gonna get either dlc or it’s going to be told in the tv series. Only thing Neil has is a theme that ties in with the other 2 games. He has no story for a part 3.

The games been out for almost 4 years and people still gripe about it because of Joel’s death I used to be one of those people .i love the guy but the truth is he had it coming as much as i hate to admit it. Part 2 was amazing but people still are blindsided by Joel’s death that they don’t see the point of it. Btw it was Troy bakers( Joel’s voice actorss) idea for Joel to die early)

Nope, TLOU2 is still trash. You've rationalized it because your brain doesn't want to deal with that trauma. That's fine and normal, the brain does that. You can stay in that comfort zone where you think TLOU2 wasn't mean spirited, vengeful (against Joel), pretentious drivel. But that's what it was and that's what it will always be.
They killed game too early they should had Joel death at end of the last installment . not when the franchise is starting to boom off now Neil doesn’t have nothing to go with and has to depend on side characters and Ellie 2nd main character

They need an epic part 3 to make the loss of Joel feel earned to a lot of people, and to many it won’t be enough..not to me, I think part 2 is great, and it’ll make the trilogy even stronger
I think a vicious faction holds a group of scientists and medical professionals hostage. They know how to make a vaccine. The faction wants to use the formula to engulf the world in tyranny. Ellie learns this then tries to release them. Ellie is captured as well. Abby comes to the rescue then sacrifices herself to save everyone. The two women forgive each other. The world is saved.

Joel’s death already feels earned. People adjust never see main character die, especially brutally. He did “deserve” to die and set up an amazing revenge story.

Part 2 was fucking awesome, we broke away from Ellie and we were able to continue the TLOU universe with Abby, again I’m devastated that Joel died… but I mean… everyone in TLOU eventually dies……. Some people get too attached and idk maybe soft? Part 3 done by Niel is gonna fire.

*For all the people that call naughty dog "woke"* (an African American term from the 60's stolen by republican narrative), they seem to glance over the fact that all the protagonists (playable characters) are white, and almost only the white people get to live to the end of the story. With the exception of Lev. The Asian boy.
As a player you have to beat the only reasonable black character to death in the last of us 2 with a steal pipe...
To call such a game woke means you do not understand history.
It's not woke, it's just not white man save's the day. Which is almost entirely confined to fiction irl to be frank.
The story of part 2 was a lot better than part one because the subject was at least twice as difficult.
It had me on the edge of my seat, till the very end, and the ending did something I thought wouldn't be possible in gaming for a while.
It made you come to terms with your own grief. That alone makes part 2 better than part 1. The gameplay innovations where so numerous, it would take me at least ten pages to scratch the surface.
But the tokenization of characters with black skin in both games is absolutely horrendous. Whether it is Sam saying: "we don't take anything we don't need" or *all of them dying* the worst deaths in part one as well as in part two. In part one: Marlene (shot like a dog), Sam(killed himself), Henry(one of two infected children in the entire series), Riley(the other infected child in the series). Then part two: Isaac(shot like a dog) Nora (beaten to death with a steal pipe by the player, arguably the most visceral death in the entire series).
That people call this game "woke" again a word stolen from the civil rights movement, the anti apartheid movement in the united states in the sixties; you know pictures you always see in black and white to make it seem long ago, though all off those pictures are taken in color. Is so absurd, that it wouldn't be misplaced in any comedy. But it isn't it is somehow real life.
The depths of 🤍⚡are so severe that people don't even seem to notice this or address it.
And I know the last of us is a cruel dystopian future, but plenty of characters get to survive. From Bill to Dina to Tommy and all of them are white, except for Lev.
Let me repeat that; all the characters that survive the last of us are white. And somehow you claim this game to be woke, a word introduced in the English language to point out the atrocities committed by white people to non-white bodies. Really think about that, before you reply. Thnq...
Edit: I didn't mention Jessy, cause he's not black, although he fits the bill of being a non white character that gets shot like a dog.

@Kratos8462 I expecting Joel too Die in Part 2 and thought Joel might have Played apart of Ellie's Subconscious throughout of Part 2 but the way Joel Died and Playing as the Character who Killed Joel, just didn't sit right or feel right with me, especially after Playing Through Part 1.
LOU always complicates the story. Just continue with the story and put it out. Stop over thinking it. The only way to end it is to get the cure from Elles brain. Otherwise, just keep it going.
That is the worst possible idea to fix on. It wouldn't work. And doesn't work even in a narrative context they had to hard retcon to even make sense😮
If they even slightly consider that idea, have another group study her and look into other solutions before even mentioning life-threatening surgery to show they aren't as desperate or incompetent as the Fireflies.

Part 2 was a terrible mess..forget the woke shit..or that joel is killed off at the start....the person playing has no closure..about anything....all that and you dont kill abby? Great.......how about in part 3..ellie blows her head off at the start of the game..so their is no cure ever...tommy marries abby..and the kid now 20..hunts them both down?? And after killing them jumps off the freedom tower?? ....

At this point I don't expect anything anymore as Last of Us 2 was a big disappointent for me.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the game because after playing it again and cleaning up both grounded and permadeath trophies I can say it's a pretty decent game, but it was a terrible choice storywise.

And they canceled Factions 2, even though I wasn't holding my breath for it. Given the initial backlash it had upon release. Their best decision now, is to redo The Last of Us 2 story. The game's plot need a reset.
@@spenceramey406 you know that’s not gonna happen. They have shown no remorse for their decision. It was their creative decision and they said damn the consequences. The game was still highly successful in sales and won many awards including GOTY and a tv show of the 2nd game is being made. I would love a last of us 3 as I love it’s world and gameplay. Will we get one? I don’t know. But I know for damn sure they ain’t remaking the story.
