I've got a 22 Freightliner and they added that side piece to the end of each of the front windows to keep the mist and water off the mirrors when it rains. Agree with you on the pros and cons on the truck.
Great video, Brian. I agree with every point you made. I no longer drive a Cascadia. I enjoyed it, but I do NOT miss hearing that damned DEF panel rattling as I was driving through Michigan or Indiana!!!
New magnets for that panel are cheap. Replace am every couple years because they're cheap crap. On one I drove a couple years ago, a bang going down the on ramp signalled it had fallen down and no more rattling ;-) Lifting it with my toe when getting out became second nature.
Awesome video I appreciate all your information. I'm going to be just over 1100 rpm at 70 mph with my new t680 264 rears. Also something that you would like is the pull down skirt and the back skirt pulls out and forward for access to your apu. They are optional but I think will be worth it
You forgot to mention that the hood mirror is heated. A big help in bad weather. 300k on both my 2020 cascadia's and 0 front end repairs. Driving michigan and the north east normally cost me a kingpin job yearly on my old KW.
Something I noticed is the DEF cap being under that flap is based on the side fairings you choose. I've seen Cascadia's with a slot in the side of the fairing for DEF and then a slot for Fuel, whereas the ET Transport Cascadia doesn't have any slots and your fuel caps are at the rear of the tanks.
I have been following you for a while. In the first video I watched, you mentioned that old mechanical engines were reliable and if any maintenance was needed, could make you saving money. Engines packed with electronics, on the other hand, when maintenance is needed, will damage the driver's pocket easily. What is missing in your current videos is a bit of data from your employer or data taken from the market to state if current Detroit engines dd15 have any issues? Are they still reliable when they reach high mileage (over 800K) even been packed with electronics? Finally, what is your fuel consumption in the last 30 days? It is all about data... (quantitative analysis). Please.
So it seems besides the door access for the DEF, you didn't seem to have any other cons about the exterior. Do I have the correct gist of this? Thanks in advance.
@@Freightlinerbob when i was in one of these mine flipped open constantly found a seal a recent driver left and used it to keep it closed xD personally I dont like the ride quality bumps were hard af. My volvo floats
Surprised fl is still using that stupid def door. Besides weak magnets I found most fuel stops added their def pumps ahead of the fuel pumps. This meant stretching hoses and tricky positioning at the fuel island so fuel and def hose would both reach.
Thank you for your feedback. The team had some technical difficulties with the mics so we had to do the best we could. Drivers are super busy so we can't waste a chance for them to share their stories. With or without perfect sound. Stay tuned for the future videos!
Volvo mirrors shaking and vibrating?! I'm shocked. When our fleet swapped to Volvo I asked the sales guy if the Volvo had fixed the mirrors. He said yes. I can assure you they have not.
You keep comparing to your very old Volvo. Not really fair. You're not comparing to a new VNL. My 2016 (one of the last of the VGT engines before they went TC) is nothing like your 2014(?) VNL. The freightliners are nice but are they better than a comparably new VNL? That's a good debate.
The audio on this video is awful. The handheld mic isn't pointed anywhere near his mouth, and there's no windscreen, so all you hear is wind noise. It was much better when it was recorded inside the truck.
How much Is he paying you under the table to do the advertising for him 😂 😂😂. I bet your Kenworth is not for sale and you are keeping it. And just doing this 90 day bs for him 😂

Also watching you I would say you feel better by the way you are moving around and you have much more energy in your voice
Hey man, I have a '22 Cascadia. I wish I could crank up the horsepower on this big dog DD15 motor. Good to see an old school driver's perspective.
These videos are my favorites it’s all about the 90 Day Challenge
Thank you Carlos. Stay tuned for more.

Nice review but was listening more for your feedback on handling and performance
I fixed my flip panel. Put a 1/4 inch bolt and a wing nut , to the out side.

It’s flimsy and the magnets that are supposed to hold it closed don’t do an adequate job. Wind at the right angle will flip it open.

Good video but the wind blocked some of the audio
Do you have any issues with water on the mirrors, side windows in storms?
I think they made some changes to the mirror, windshield?

I don't like HID lights, in fact they should be illegal. All they do is blind other drivers, riders and pedestrians.
HID headlights have way less glare than the new LEDs
What is the the gear ratio ??? Tx
