That policy needs to be enacted by the LA County board of supervisors to keep Sheriffs deputies from violating citizens rights.

It was always that way, supposedly. I have no problem with them stopping and questioning them if there's a _legitimate_ reason for doing so. Problem is, cops think everyone is suspicious, and have zero regard for the Bill of Rights.

I don't agree that he tried to violate Jose's 4th. He did try to get Jose to relinquish it through unpersuasive appeals to laws that don't pertain to Jose since he isn't on probation or an ex con. He then takes umbrage with the manner Jose talks to him. Respect garners respect. He didn't accord Jose with respect. He knew Jose was conducting an audit. The evidence is clear about that.

@@spaceherpies8821 He didn't try to violate Jose 4th he tried to persuade Jose to voluntarily waive his 4th. That is a far cry from an overt violation of his 4th. An overt violation would've occurred if the cop against Jose protestations had force him to I.D. under threat of arrest let's say. There is no such thing as an attempt to violate civil rights. It's clear cut. You either have a violation or you don't. There's no close approximation of a violation of civil rights.
Supreme Court has ruled that the default Standing of the People is not that of a felon. Trustees have no Right, obligation or privilege to just run People to see if the People are felons.
