As you say, going to be a big year for JRPG's, especially on PS5. My list to watch out for is : Final Fantasy 7 Remake past 2, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Persona 3 Reload, Dragon's Dogma 2, Unicorn Overlord and Metaphor: Refantazio.
Final fantasy 7 rebirth and visions of Mana are two games I really wanna play this year, since I’m finally going to be buying a PS5 next month! Grand blue fantasy and project mugen looked really interesting though, might check those out!
Excited for you! Granblue just released a really good demo that even has online co-op matchmaking so you can try before you buy. I say it's an absolute must buy for jrpg fans, it's that good.
If there was ever a video that painfully highlights the absence of a new, significantly more potent Switch, this video provides ample justification. While I am fond of my Switch library, the introduction of a new device is imperative. Specifically, two of the mentioned games have captured my interest. Thank you, Ircha.
99.9% certain the successor to the Switch will be coming this year, and a few, as of yet, unannounced 1st party titles ( my bet is Mario Kart 9 and the next 3D Mario game )
Project Mugen I did not know about but it looks really good and the city looks huge.. kinda spider man with anime characters ;) Well.. mugen means infinite after all... It also reminds me a little of A world ends with u NEO (such an underrated game!)... free to play... eh... that I don't fancy too much
Those are pretty much the JRPGs I'm looking forward to as well. Though I'll add to it, Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Eiyuden Chronicles and Decapolice (if it releases this year). Oh and you should also check Persona 5: Phantom X as it looks like it will be a good JRPG gacha game whenever it releases globally (has insane production values for a PC/Mobile game spin-off of Persona 5).
Games I'm looking forward to this year Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Gran Blue Fantasy Relink Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Black Myth Wukong Visions of Mana
I’m so surprised you don’t talk about like a dragon on the channel ☹️ the story is incredible and the combat is amazing, infinite wealth would be something I see you loving if you played the previous title that brought turned based combat to the series. And not mentioning FF7 Rebirth had to be intentional or something 😂 I know persona 3 reload might not be your thing either since you don’t like talking about persona on the channel
To me there is only three games I'm interesting in 2024 first one is coming out this month: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (in which I did the pre-order to get the bonus stuff), Final Fantasy Rebirth (coming out next month) and The Legend of Heroes Trails Through Daybreak (sometime this summer). I personally super excited for 2024. It's going to be a good year for gaming :)
Nice list. Many of those games are visually pleasing. Lately, I've been playing "The Bard's Tale Trilogy Remastered" on PC. It was a trilogy of turn-based RPG games from the 1980s.
Congrats on the 100K, you very well earned it !!! There's also Another Code: Recollection out on Friday. Two very good DS games. Bake the Cake. Oh, Luigi's Mansion 2 coming this year too.
The best videos as always!! No idea why your video didn't pop up as a recommended video!!! I love you videos way more than almost all of the videos that come out on RUclips!!
Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters (the Nintendo Switch version) and Neptunia Game maker R:Evolution for me. Also, that new Gunvolt rhythm game if I want to mention a game that is not a Role Playing Game.
LETS GO! You finally dropped your first vid of the year! I’ve never played dragons dogma👀 WHICH ONE OF THE GAMES IS A MUST PLAY? Crazy to think project mugan is free.
My GCloud experience is pretty much flawless now since I hardwired the consoles to a wifi6 access point. Using that works a lot better than the wifi chips in the consoles.
Im so happy I found your channel a couple years ago, our tastes are so often the same! I watched and found myself excited for almost all of these and I always love how honest you are! Maybe itll be my PS5 year too😂🙌
I'm excited for my ps5, just got a PS Portal because I saw your review. Along with getting Forespoken, I was on the fence, and decided to get it because you liked so much. The JRPGs I'm looking forward to are: Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, Dragon's Dogma 2, Persona 3 Reload, am interested in Granblue, but don't know if I can afford it.
Granblue just released a demo so you can try before you buy. I just played it on my Portal and it fits/works so well. The demo definitely boosted my opinion of the game, I even pre-ordered it!
I noticed that 2024 would be a very packed year for PS5, so I bought one + the Playstation Portal about a week ago. Looks like I made the right decision! Been having so much fun, especially with the Portal. I'm mainly a handheld gamer; my only consoles were a Switch and Steam deck. The Switch is basically dead at this point and while I absolutely love my Steam deck I'm uncertain that it'll be able to keep up with the newer releases of 2024. Playstation also has exclusives that won't be available to PC for a looong time. Can't wait to play Granblue Fantasy Relink and FF7Rebirth! Great video and thank you for putting even more JRPGs on my radar! Just might have to try Forspoken as well...
I am absolutely fine with none or few of these games coming to Switch. It's time Switch owners (I am one so I'm allowed to trash them) started realizing that not every-f***ing-thing comes to that leech of a platform. Like I've said before, it gets to me when it feels like only 4% of the Switch's library is actually original, with all the rest being either ports or shitty shovelware. Like, the Switch gets nothing new from third parties, it only gets games that were popular on other consoles. The Switch is riding on other consoles' success, claiming them as its own, with the extra deal that now you can play them portably, while having very few original titles of its own. Like, sure, I can also come up with an idea for a console that has no original games on it, but only sells itself on making you able to play older games in a more convenient way.
Persona 3: Reload Unicorn Overlord The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak Metaphor: Re:Fantazio Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Decapolice Visions of Mana 2024 is incredible for JRPGs!
Congratulations on your 101,000 subs! The only game I have a plan for is ff7 rebirth. Dragons dogma 2 is also on my radar as well as like a dragon infinite wealth. Granblue looks nice, but I think I'll wait for your review..
@@andrewgugelman1294 because I trust her judgement and don't have deep enough pockets to buy every game coming out as well as the other things I need to get. Forspoken is a gem and you are nothing but a sheep..
I was gonna say I don’t really consider Dragon’s Dogma anime style but then I remembered the original theme song they eventually replaced in Dark Arisen. Into Free, it was so bizarre. Can’t believe we finally get to revisit this world.
Great video! The more RPG's on the PS5 the better! Question: What capture card to you use for Switch to OBS (or whatever you use)? I'm struggling to get anything to work.
I’m going to bet 100% that most of these RPGs are coming out on the switch2 but obviously they can’t announce it just yet.. I predict Nintendo is going to have a HUUGE Nintendo direct this year with the announcement of the switch 2 with moat of these games being announced too.
Not to be a contrarian, but as a fan myself: If it ends up being copy paste of the original (as it IS going to be)... then no way in heck my friend will it be a GOTY contender. Sad to say. 🤔 I remember when it launched two generations ago... and even THEN (when it was current technology) Official Xbox Magazine and outlets gave it mediocre reviews because they did not understand its appeal.... and thought it was dated back on XB360/PS3 (superficial reviewers)! It's very much a produce of that era of CAPCOM that brought us Resident Evil 5/6, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Street Fighter X Tekken, Bionic Commando Rearmed and Devil May Cry 4... so not exactly their most (initially) financially successful or loved era by the mainstream. Dragon's Dogma was a Diamond in that rough, that sadly was ignored BECAUSE of its proximity of development with those releases. - I played the original on Xbox 360 when it launched... no one cared. - I played the re-release Dark Arisen several years later... no one cared then. - I bought the Re-re-release on a the new generation of consoles during a dry spell in the industry (it released on more platforms).... STILL not many people seemed to care. Each of these times I raved to my friends and family about the game and tried to get people to play them, just to be met with dismissal. The one friend who actually played it got real bored, real quickly. Glad I haven't spoken to that friend in over a decade now! lol. 🤣 ... They announce Dragon's Dogma 2 during a p@ndemic at the same time everyone is talking about Eldern Ring: and SUDDENLY the mainstream is talking about Dragons Dogma like it's some kind of Hidden Gem. DD2 will release, be loved by fans, streamed by many - and neglected at the end of the year by most. The gameplay is HIGHLY repetitive, and the mechanics and graphics are still build on a existing game from the XB360 era. It's not going to be the evolution RE2 and RE4 remakes where to the source. It will just be more, clunky animation, dated models, bizzare Ai, and hilarious memes. The Voice Acting will be just as stilted and the story is still paper thin. And NONE OF THIS makes the game any less awesome to fans of DD who want to know what happens next in the story... but it IS a huge bit leap in accessibility for the 'modern' general audience who expects pretty graphics, polish gameplay and a streamlined experience. Dragon's Dogma was so good BECAUSE it was so rough around the edges. So very classic capcom. So very unapologetically non-western classic japanese design. King's Field (Dark Souls 1-3, Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro) and Armored Core did not blow up with modern audiences until they 'westernized' them with Eldern Ring and ACVI. Same with Final Fantasy and Resident Evil. They were always popular with a great deal of people in the gaming community - but they left the niche gaming world, and leap into the mainstream with Final Fantasy VII Remake and the new RE remakes. You probably have no clue for how many people FFVII remake is their first (and often only) FF game... and same with RE2 and RE4 remake. 🤦♂ For most people FFVII Remake and Re2 remake ARE Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil 2. They have no idea Aerith OFFICIALLY died, or that Resident Evil had tank controls for a decade. 🤷♂ Dragon's Dogma 2 is LITERALLY the opposite of that. It's capcom bringing of something we rarely get outside Monster Hunter... _Classic_ Japanese feeling Capcom. Jank and all. It's a love letter to the first, but will REQUIRE you to know the originals story, and accept that jank and that dated 'gameplay' over polish, sound, animation and graphics. And sadly with all the AAA walking simulators and 'best narrative' awards today... I don't see it doing anything other than disappointing a whole bunch of zoomers who thought it was going to be Capcoms Elden Ring 2.0. 😥 *_PS_*_ Sorry for the extended reply._
But I totally agree. Dragon's Dogma 2 is 100% my most anticipated game of this year. I've been waiting so many years for it get announced, and then when they did - had to wait this much longer. It truly looks like a step up from the original in everyway that matters to fans like you and me. It looks amazing.... but only if you know what your getting with one of these games. Which is my current fear for its reception by the general audience who never played the first. If it gets anything but stellar review scores I fear for the series future. Capcom is sort of fickle these days too coming off getting used to a bunch of big critical and financial successes. All it takes is a bunch of zoomers buying it and feeling cheated/disappointed because it wasn't what they expected for $70 (Basically Witcher 3 or Eldern Ring)... So, I'll be buying two copies to do my part (PC and PS5). Hope you do the same if possible. 😉
I have just bought a Switch Oled the beginning of 2023. I wanted to play the Fire Emblem games. I also bought Atelier Sophie 2 with your recommendation. I am having great fun. I get suck a couple of times, but eventually found my way. I am not great at making things - but I try hard. 😁👍

Ircha is pretty. That much is obvious. But fun fact: she never ages. It's not because the lack of sun up there where she lives... no, it's because she is *_a VAMPIRE!_* 😂 ...I assume. I mean, it could just be good moisturizer and not touching her face much... but I assume *_it MUST be souls of the damned and a most terrible curse!_*
Project Mugen is very controversial since they copied animations from existing games like Warframe. Lots of people got upset about it. We gonna see what's gonna come out of that. .3. I'm hyped about DD2 though! Hopefully it'll be good.
I think some of these are basically gambling I’ve seen a scratch ticket advertised at the gas station that has the guy from dig dug on it which is a very old namco game maybe they’re getting into gambling

Ircha is pretty. That much is obvious. But fun fact: she never ages. It's not because the lack of sun up there where she lives... no, it's because she is *_a VAMPIRE!_* 😂
...I assume.
I mean, it could just be good moisturizer and not touching her face much... but I assume *_it MUST be souls of the damned and a most terrible curse!_*
I think a lot of upcoming games don’t say switch because they could be coming for switch 2 👀🤔

Project Mugen is very controversial since they copied animations from existing games like Warframe. Lots of people got upset about it. We gonna see what's gonna come out of that. .3. I'm hyped about DD2 though! Hopefully it'll be good.
