I love that its almost completely sterile except the c on the pivot.
thats why i dont like it, i dont like sterile knives there boreing.
@Castle Bravo lol okay then lol
Cedric and Ada rope cut tests show the following results: D2 had 120 cuts; CTS-BD1 had 112 cuts; and 9cr18mov had 72 cuts; spyderco VG-10 had 75 cuts. Always enjoy your videos.
@@yuanchen5239 That's the key - proper heat treat and dps, as both can vary by knife to knife depending on the batch.
It’s time for Spyderco to up the game on their Delica and Endura line of knives.
Harley Yes, grind it thinner.
@@LuisGonzalez-gl4wc Use better steel, VG10 is outdated for the pricing.
I love my delica and endura... But would like them so much more for 40-60$ new w/vg10
I wish more companies would those colored metal accents for liners, spacers, posts, screws, etc... it looks so sweet, and I personally love it! I know it's trivial, but if done right it really makes your knife look really nice, and if you're carrying it around every day, using it, etc, it's nice to have a knife that looks cool! I was trying to think of how you could do like custom coating on things like screws and stuff after market for custom work...
I was actually gifted this knife. I normally carry my ultratech or pm2 I will have to say I was blown away by the quality of this knife. Seriously it is an amazing value. The fit and finish is damn near perfect. If they just did better steel it would be a perfect edc for me.
I got one for Christmas and I was really pleased with not only it's fit and finish but that action. It's an excellent knife for the price point!
Out of all of the knife videos I’ve watch, a ton, you are the first one to mention the type/size of para cord you can use. Thanks! 🤙🏼
Good to see these companies listening to customers and using better steels on these budget knives...I wish Kershaw would catch on.
Have the Ebony wood handle version of this, great budget addition to the collection.
Awesome, didn't realize they had a budget brand. I love my WE blade, so maybe ill have to give one of these a try.
You might want to look at the Praxis if you want something more along the line of camp knife. Looks more like what you would use for camping.
I have the Civivi Praxis. Absolutely love it. Best fit&finish I’ve ever seen in this price range. Better than my Bestech Swordfish aside from the Swordfish’s ceramic bearings.
i got mine yesterday. as far as a self defense knife, with that blade shape and thin hollow grind, you can definitely slice someone's face up or pierce through a heavy jacket with that thing.
My favorite! The Damascus Pintail is my #2.
i love that blade shape! Just wish the finger choil was a tiny bit deeper.
So , are bearings or bronze washers better for fast and smooth ?
Own the cutjack like it but deployment is crummy. This with the thin blade stock ,smooth deployment makes me want one. Thanks,Harry
Harry Wright you are right the cutjack is clumsy and the baklash is smooth and fast.
Great video. Waiting on the Praxis myself. My first Civivi!
So glad of this review I really been debating this knife
Great fit and finish with a very smooth action. Also comes with a zipper pouch and cleaning cloth. Nice little extras for a budget folder. 👍🏽🔪
A simple black milled clip would make this knife with the carbon fiber over lay and black blade in 14 c for $52 would be a great buy but the knife as is …I love it l it’s one of my favorites in this category
Don’t forget Two Sun, and CH knives..they are making noise too..luv the TS81 titanium.
Man I say I'm not going to buy another night for a while I see something like this and I love the blade shape Honestly if I was just looking through Amazon and seen this knife I wouldn't buy it, but watching you do the cuts I'm buying it right now! Thanks for selling me a knife that I didn't need lol but I think I won't regret it it's pretty badass shape. I like that they're putting ball bearing pivots in it for the price too! Anyway I can't wait to get it I ordered it through Amazon so I'll have it in 2 days! The last couple of Chinese knives I bought one of them was the Effengrow I know I spelled that wrong but anyway it's the Microtech Socom copy the one that has the milling out of the blade, and when I got it I'm like all right it's cool looking and didn't cost much but I probably will never carry this. And I bought another one it was kind of comparable to the crkt hisatsu folder but not as thick and not assisted real cool blade shape sharpened very well and I do carry it sometimes and I paid a lot less for it I think I paid $27 for it. Chinese companies like Civivi I really making some cool cool knives for a really good price!
The pocket clip screws are now recessed/flush in the most recent upgrade.
You can beat this knife until it breaks . There’s a torture test vid . These dudes were doing things we wouldn’t do and it rolled through
Holly smokes 3 videos for the weekend! This is awesome, thanks Aaron! Thumbs up for sure
GT... you are a busy guy. If you don’t mind me asking, on average how many review videos do you complete per outing? Thanks again for the great reviews.
Boweimer 1 thanks so much! It’s about 20-30 hours a week every week of filming and editing. It I am backyard edc testing it’s between 3-5 blades. When I am in the woods it’s usually 2-4 blades and 1-2 tools.
Great action good price for someone getting into knives not my style when it comes to looks id get and did get the kizer beglieter for around $50 g10 handles steel liners very well put together good action vg10 steel which is a great steel in my opinion and definitely better steel than what’s on this blade but if u like this design sure get it I like everything about it except for the look and there are better looking options for this knife but I’d still go with the kizer.
The Kizer belighter is a letter opening knife, not a great EDC option because it wouldnt hold up in an emergency scenario
I know it's a little bit different style but how does it compare to the ruike p801? I bought that on your recommendation and absolutely love it. It has become my gold standard for inexpensive high quality knives so I like to know how other knives compare to it.
bzebarth I would say very close.
Quick question, why is it Gideon’s tactical hosted by Aaron instead of Aaron’s Tactical??
I’d like to see the shredder on your channel featuring edge maintenance as well, no one know the angle of those knives
Sharpie on the edge usually does the trick
@@skylerbond56 I’m sure it does once the angle is known
@@ZGoddessLola That's how you find the angle 🤦♂️
*Its a touch expensive for the steel used. I do enjoy the deep carry pocket clip as well as its ergo design. Id have to test it personally to really know though.*
I don't think this knife will hold up to heavy use
RAIN MAYHEM Who actually uses a folder for heavy uses.....heavy use calls for a fixed blade.
@@Joe.dirt7909 when you carry any kind of knife on a daily basis it needs to be able to preform multiple task especially some heavy duty task. If you actually carried a knife everyday you would know this. I think you are one of them guys that come online to start arguments. And how i know this is you made the same comment on my post and now you are doing the same on someone else's post i commented on. Bye now
RAIN MAYHEM I carry a knife everyday.....No, I didn’t see you had a post all to your self until after I made the first one. I’m sorry....I just have a different option of “hard core” than you do.
Part of making post is to have a little friendly discussion.....no need to get all worked up. I feel that this channel shows a great representation of everyday use of a pocket/folder knife.....I don’t consider it hard core.
@@rainmayhem4255 do you act like a little pussy every time someone disagrees with you? Only a moron would really use a folder for HEAVY use
review the buck 101 its the same as 110 but full tang :)
I got one .its a pretty knive 9cr18 steel its a good knive buy.
That was funny about that Browse blade popping up. Good review, but I think I will stick to my Steel Will Cutjack.
Love the blade shape!!
Your the best bro ,always have the stuff that I am interested in and a fellow Coloradoan
gabe v so glad to hear that!
I think i would like to have some time with this myself and test it daily lol.
I do with mine. Outstanding knife.
You like the baklash or aquila better?
Would like to see this with 14 c like a ruike
man really wish you would have commented on the action of the civivi vs the cutjack. I'm sure tons of people are asking the same thing. I've even done a Google search of that very question-- to no avail.
Mack Durr Civivi action is far superior. But the action on the cutjack is still great and nothing to cry home about.
I think that is a great knife for the price. Another awesome review bro.
Oh hell yeah u want this one for sure
Wow really awesome EDC WE Knife Reviews!!!👍😍😍👍
Aka one days I going too getting that knife!!😎👌
OcOmega Shadow yeah I’m debating getting this
WE is excellent. I'm in love with this knife.
How good is that 9Cr18mov ? Is it a Chinese version of 440C as some say?
Tsosmits777 Tsakous ya or Chinese version v-10 (around that ball park)
Solid Review!!!😀
Looks like a cutjack with a different handle line...cool though more to but in budget land.
I like the design and even the steel isn't bad....wish it wouldn't be a hollow grind....and the price shouldn't be more than $25 USD...imo
Randy Yeager I tried one out and I have never been more impressed with a budget knife. I was pleasantly surprised. By far the best knife for 42 bucks I’ve ever bought. Just my .02
they make some nice knives....I just hate hollow grinds...just lots of good blades out their for less money... (and no hollow grind)...I'm all about cheap chinese...I love my ganzos and sanrenmus...though with Canadian laws...I really can't get a folding knife into the country unless it's back lock.....and probably not one of those either....more or less, you can't import a folding knife into Canada that you can open one handed anymore....it sucks...
Randy Yeager that truly does suck. It’s scary how freedoms are slowly and quietly stripped away.
@@AlexanderSLeBlanc yeah, the retarded thing is...it's just a customs thing....it's not illegal to own a one-handed open folding knife....just illegal to import them....just makes no sense...
I want to see you test it out cause i don't think it will hold up to heavy use
RAIN MAYHEM Why? What exactly are you going to be doing with a folder knife?
@@Joe.dirt7909 have you never watched this channel? He normally puts these knives through all the paces so people know how much abuse they can take. And if you carry a knife then you know you never know what you are ur gonna need ur knife for
RAIN MAYHEM Yes, I watch this channel all the time and love the content put out. But, cutting cardboard, plastic, and foam is not hard use in my book. I do feel that the testing shown is what most people would put a pocket/folder threw....just not hard core in my book. Guess I have a different opinion of what “hard core” represents.
@@Joe.dirt7909 no i am not talking about the cardboard and cord he cuts i mean when he uses a folding knife for making feather sticks and that stuff. I just think for what that knife cost it is gonna fail under heavy use over time
👍👍👍👍👍
52nd viewer, and fifth like!
1st!
Fuck that; I would rather just get bestech instead.
