@@myztroogeegibson3568is it too late to reply your comment? Well we Vietnamese people had been through various different dynasties, and it is believed that when a new reign was established, people usually tended to switch their family name to be similar to the ruling royal family, first was to hope for the tolerance of the royal family (like they would gonna treat you and your family better if you followed their last name), second was that according to our culture, every people under the governance of the King are considered the King’s children. Plus, when someone from a different family had rebeled and successfully took over the throne, they usually tried to destroy almost every old traces from the previous dynasty, even people who has the same family name as the late royal family, so some had to change to protect themselves. And for those reason, our last reign - Nguyen Dynasty shall become the most popular family name within Vietnam 😅
When I watched her making her finale dish the first time, I thought she must be crazy. While it no doubt tasted very good, it's also a popular dish in Vietnam that she must know will absolutely be destroyed in terms of presentation, considering she only lost her sight in her 20s. I didn't understand why she chose that particular dish for such an important occasion. When she said in this video she chose the dish because it reminded her of her mom, it all made sense. That was a tribute to her mom. She obviously wanted to win, but above all, she wanted to feel closer to her mom in one of the most important moments of her life.

I'm a Chef , and in my opinion, she has more sense than a person who can see, she developed its senses of taste and smell, that's make her unique, most of all for her passion and dedication!
What an incredible young woman. My daughter was born blind when she was pregnant with her twins her husband left. She runs her home and cares for her twins. When one sense is lost others take over.
Christine Ha is someone I can relate to. I lost my granddaddy this year and he was an amazing cook. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to learn his recipes. I always thought that I'd never be able to cook like the rest of my family. When I saw Christine and learned her story, I started thinking maybe I could. If she, a blind woman, can overcome her struggles and surpass her wildest dreams, then why can't I do the same thing? And now I'm on my way to do just that. If I could talk to her, I'd say thank you. She is one of my biggest inspirations.
Christine made me cry of emotion. She is the most humble and authentic women chef I ever learned about. I wish her every luck and happiness for the future ❤

Lost my dad to cancer aswell, the 2nd harshest cancer you can get...but i always thought as she did...there is no way we lose him. He is to stubborn, strong and determined so i never thought much of it. He grew up a difficult life with war, poor and being picked on alot from his family for being different. He was slightly violent, silent and never spoke much to us growing up. I did not think losing him would hurt as much as it did, but what i think hurts the most is the fact that i took the time we had left with him for granted and never made some proper connection with him. I never understood him...until it was too late. Be there for your parents, hug your parents, talk to your parents...they can be taken away at any point and you only live once

I’m glad I got to watch her whole competition, especially when she won MasterChef. Unfortunately I am blind now and I stop cooking when I lost my sight. Yes, Christine Haught is really an inspiration and I really wish I could follow in her steps and learn how to cook. I guess I’m just scared to try it. It is so very difficult to cut even simple things like vegetables when you can’t see your hand or the knife. Even making something as simple as a grilled cheese sandwich is very difficult.
I love his reaction to her dish. It shows he cares :D. Especially her apple pie
I love how even though she’s blind, she was never treated any differently from the other contestants.
I always say I've seen everything in this world good and bad but this lady had the courage and strength to put herself out there to do something she loves 👏👏👏👏more props to Christine Ha keep doing you
Ramsay is a incredible chef, and she is absolutely awesome brought me to tears knowing someone is blind but can cook and beat the odds, bless you young lady😊😊😊
This video showing her dedication makes me cry
what a beautiful person. We need more people like her in the world
This lady is incredible.. everyone has their own battles and she’s owning it. ❤❤❤
Christine Ha. Inspiring, creative, tenacious. Her story proves that there is no reason in this world that anyone should be a victim.
Pray the Lord for help/guidance Aman
i‘ve seen a lot of videos about her and about the reactions to her food, and she did blow every expections every time🤝🏽

Wow! Congratulations Christine!
Christine made me cry of emotion. She is the most humble and authentic women chef I ever learned about. I wish her every luck and happiness for the future ❤
Her eyes are gray they’re absolutely gorgeous though wow! Her strength and inner beauty is so inspiring❤️
She's the definition of "you can do anything if you set your mind to it"
what an inspiration!! I'm gonna watch the entire season 3 for her😭❤️
Am I the only one who thinks Christine's mom looks like her?
Christine's story is very inspiring. Love how Gordon reacted to her.
It's almost like they're related...

But some children don't look like their mothers tho, like me, i don't look Even a bit like My mom.
It's nothing big and we all should start normalising the normality. Some don't see through their physical eyes but they are able and gifted to see the beauty. Such an inspiration. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
my favorite moment of her in the Masterchef was the apple pie one. she's an inspiration.
This is absolutely beautiful 😍 & beyond inspirational!
What an amazing woman she is! How proud her mom must be even if she is a angel!
Her story brought tears of joy and happiness to me
It's ain't easy to win but we got no choice.
How are you doing
She is the definition of anything is possible
Every time I see her, I am just getting stunned. Like my mind cannot cannot process the fact that she can cook THAT good while being freaking blind! How is it even possible? Simply unbelievable
This is such a wonderful story. Christine is an incredibly strong woman. Her mother would be so proud.
I want such determination in my life
Dont you fell sick of making excuses
Gotta learn from her mad respect
Christine opened her new restaurant maybe 200 ft from our family home in Houston and we're thrilled to have her nearby! 💜
Such an inspiration. This woman is amazing
She is an amazing blind woman, and a chef on top of that! Incredible!
Salute , you endured through one of the worst nightmares that people randomly imagine , your a tough one and you deserved it all for all of your efforts and dedication! Love you!
