About the toddy I know you had a bad experience, but the fact is that the thing you get in toddy shops is aimed at alcohol consumers. It tastes so bad I know. But the real toddy is not fermented when it is extracted fresh from the coconut palm. Its in fact sweet and has a very fresh taste to it without even the slightest hint of fermentation. I bet if you try the real one you will love it. But the problem is availability. For it to not ferment it should be extracted using a fresh pot which do not have any old residue of bacteria in it. And it should be consumed right after extraction in the morning because as time passes it will start to ferment. In my childhood we used to get this fresh a lot and all family members regardless of age used to enjoy it because it was not even considered as an alcoholic drink. Basically its the sap of coconut tree. I urge you to use your connections and get some fresh toddy ( in Malayalam its called “madhura kallu” )

First of all, I really love and appreciate what you're doing with your life.. Exploring every corner of the world and exploring different cultures is everyone's dream and here you're, living everyone's dream, with no regrets and no tension...I myself is a bit of a traveller and have quite visited a few places seeking peace of mind... But I want to explore more, just like you, How did you save money for this whole "travelling around the world" thing? Did you planned your budget earlier?? Did you financially planned anything?? I know that this "back to life" thing doesn't have any plannings or specific schedules and that is how a perfect travel should be... But how did you made it this far without any plans??

About the toddy I know you had a bad experience, but the fact is that the thing you get in toddy shops is aimed at alcohol consumers. It tastes so bad I know. But the real toddy is not fermented when it is extracted fresh from the coconut palm. Its in fact sweet and has a very fresh taste to it without even the slightest hint of fermentation. I bet if you try the real one you will love it. But the problem is availability. For it to not ferment it should be extracted using a fresh pot which do not have any old residue of bacteria in it. And it should be consumed right after extraction in the morning because as time passes it will start to ferment. In my childhood we used to get this fresh a lot and all family members regardless of age used to enjoy it because it was not even considered as an alcoholic drink. Basically its the sap of coconut tree. I urge you to use your connections and get some fresh toddy ( in Malayalam its called “madhura kallu” )
Thank you for the explanation!! If a drink is sweet, I can drink it no problem. If a drink has any kind of spice to it, it is very difficult for me to drink. I am only used to eating spicy food, I don't like spicy drinks. Thanks for clarifying!!
@@Back2Lifenikotjr I think you are talking about sambharam (butter milk with green chilli and ginger added). Toddy is different and isnt spicy at all.
Thanks for explaining toddy so nicely. I was confused by Niko’s description of his toddy experience as being spicy, sour milk, but realized maybe he had pachu moru.
@@tiramisu5901 @Tira Misu i think hebhad toddy from toddy bar Which if you analyse is very punchy sour and fermented. Maybe the poor guy being from US didnt find any other analogy other than spicy and sour to explain what he was tasting. I can kinda understand what he went through 😂
