Something every professional will teach you is that body movement and face movement is reflected in your tone when you sing. That's why you can sometimes just know that someone was smiling when singing. This is important for shows, it's what brings life to the music. It's also why live performances always sound better than recording in a studio where you're on your 50th take and just want to get it over with.
