I haven’t seen hazbin hotel yet so I am mainly here for the broadway singers, specifically Jeremy Jordan

Those are just the ones that I know, I saw several others who I'm pretty sure have theatre backgrounds. It feels like they're *trying* to lure in the theatre kids by having such a banger of a cast. It's working on me.

"You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile" was in the first headcanon voices video for Alastor, it's amazing that the actual voice actor was one of the song's interpret. I'm not sure if he is the headcanon one, but I'm still very happy!

Well, Amazon did wind up buying the streaming rights. Though some Broadway talent already appeared on Helluva Boss.
I think I’m starting to realize why they changed the voices. All of these actors both know how to sing and sound relatively similar to the original. The old voices felt better when talking but a majority of them couldn’t sing. And having separate actors for the singing can sound weird. These new voices provide a little of both.

important to note that Stephanie probably won’t sound like Mirabel, Stephanie is a phenomenal voice actress, I mean, just look at all of her different roles, they all sound different. To my knowledge, we haven’t heard her sing in her Rosa (Brooklyn 99), Vaggie-esc voice, but it’s certainly different.

In the Happy Day In Hell video and in the trailer, I can really hear the Mirabel voice tbh! It’s just deeper and less childish.

@@frogswithboots she does have a pretty recognizable tone but she’s got range too! she voices a little boy in central park and a little girl in bobs burgers
To be fair, I do think that Stephanie has a very distinctive singing voice. Her speaking voice gets deeper, and I was a bit impressed when listening to her sing because she did have a slightly darker tone this time around, it was less recognizable. But when she was in bojack horseman as gina, another adult comedy, she also got a song, and she did sound pretty much just like mirabel in it. Some people thought it wasn't even her singing because of how different she sounds when she starts singing
I mean, there's also the fact that she used a higher pitched voice in Encanto, so idk

At least 4 actually, if you count Disney properties and not just movies. Lucifer is Varian from the Tangled series, and Zestial was the Broadway Genie, and more currently the Wish bear (plus several Helluva Boss roles already).

As a Varian fan, i'll still say that that song isn't really the best one to show off his range and tone for this video. He's sharing the spotlight with others and cant really go all out. That song, while he did a great performance, isnt really ALL he is and can DO and i'm tired of ppl acting like it.
Personally, I'd have picked "Let me make you proud" and its reprise from tangled; "I want to live again", or "Broadway, here I come" from SMASH

There’s so many big names and like- holy crap am I excited. Not only ‘cause I’m a huge theatre kid but because all of these people have INCREDIBLE voices and I’m so damn proud of this show for getting this big

Lol I love the comments knowing Darren Criss from Glee when I mainly know him from his Harry Potter Starkid days. This cast is absolutely insane, as a musical theatre superfan my jaw was basically on the floor after I finished looking through the cast list. I seriously hope Hazbin draws even more light to these incredibly talented performers and their other work.

jeremy jordan is also the og jack kelly in newsies so you can listen to the newsies soundtrack to get a better idea of what he sounds like talking and singing :) (he does put on a fake new york accent so to hear what he sounds like normally watch to a slime tutorial of him in little shop or waitress)
Also clyde in bonnie and clyde, there's a couple great songs from him on there, though there's also an accent in that one (southern this time)

Vox does have a song, I know this from the leaked material sadly,(sucks that all that hard work got leaked). The songs amazing it’s essentially a duet between Alastor and Vox. And the character he maintains in his voice while both speaking and singing is amazing.
Now that song goes perfectly with Alastor, it matches his whole description. He is dressed fancy and always with a smile, and his staff is basically from whatever time with those mic where made.

I'm ESTATIC. Since Darren stopped appearing in starkid shows, I've been really missing him, fingers crossed he'll sing in the actual show. And I feel so dumb I didn't recognize Alex sooner, Fizzarolli's voice is almost the same as Beetlejuice's. Same thing with Erika, I can't count how much I've listened to Mean girls. And Emmett Forest is one of my favourite musical characters, and he voices VOX? Perfection.
