Iba bajando la cuesta santa inés, era un hermoso día y comienza la erupción, ojalá hubiese captado ese momento, pero siempre vivirá en mi memoria, fue hermoso pero a la vez tenebroso
Absolutely amazing work, to catch the eruption is payback for years of patience shooting locations and coming away with very little. Most people cannot comprehend how much time and effort goes into this. Researching a location, getting there, humping the gear up to a good vantage point, then committing to a shot which takes hours and hours, with maybe a better shot happening in the other direction, while you are hungry and freezing cold. Well done Timestorm.
I lived in Puerto Varas for eighteen years, and as soon as I left this happened! Jonas and Martin were incredibly lucky, and made the most out of the opportunity.
I love how the cloud is being ejecting with so much energy that wind is not able to overpower it, so that huge umbrella spreads in all directions. You can see wind blowing the lower particles that lost momentum, while the upper particles come in fresh 1:40. Volcanoes are amazing.
This is typical behavior demonstrated by Plinian volcanoes, which got their name from Pliny the Younger, whose accounts of the 79CE eruption of Mount Vesuvius told of a cloud rising into the sky resembling the appearance of a stone pine tree. A rather awe inspiring detail that can also be seen is that as the eruption dies down towards the end, you can see the cloud start to be affected by the wind and start to drift off to the right, much like steam billowing from a test tube after you take the cap off following a rapid evaporation experiment
@@TimestormFilms It's seriously incredible video. I feel like that fact that you didn't have to do much in post makes it even more beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your work.
This is the first time I have watched this video. Well done! Jonas Dengler & Martin Heck...I am glad I clicked. I will be very surprised if I discover this footage hasn't won some sort of award or even gained professional recognition...
It has been used in the Hollywood movie "Alpha", NatGeos "One Strange Rock", BBC's "Mountains - Life above the Clouds" and many more :D So yes, I'm very happy how everything turned out :p
I think it is, just without the high piano over the top. Even if it's "original", it's VERY closely copied from Interstellar, especially being the same key/chords.
Fabulous! Absolutely fabulous! I've been watching this video a lot lately. I gotta say the track selection is on point, as is the case with your other videos as well!
Hey that was a nice video, for once!! That is a 1/100. Big eruption, one of the biggest i've seen across RUclips. And the timelapse-thing around 2:00 was very cool informative, thank you for making that! Just imagine Yellowstone, that will be about 1000 times bigger than this. It is almost unimaginable.
The power of a volcanic eruption is unbelievable. I was in Washington state when Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980, and have a little bit of an idea of what it is like.
Your work is beautiful in every aspect. I was at the top of volcan Lonquimay (which is close by) during its eruption in 1989. Landscape surrounded by black ash for miles. The nature of this planet is truly spectacular. Your application and knowledge of the technical to capture it's beauty is well appreciated. Thank you for sharing.
No había visto este video, increíble, muy bueno, recuerdo ese día como si fuera ayer, abrir la ventana de mi pieza y ver el volcán en erupción fue OSOM
We live in Puerto Montt and could see the eruption from our home. A once in a lifetime experience, never to be forgotten. Lovely video.
yes this was so unreal. once in a lifetime indeed.

I want to expatriate to Chile. Are you expats? Has (it) been worth it?
@@rmeinhofer yes has been worth it for us :)
Yo igual vivo en puerto montt y justo iba de regreso a mi casa despues de comprar en un negocio y vi el volcan en erupcion fue algo impresionante.
Terima kasih.
Absolutely incredible cinematography! Thank you for this!

Absolutely! I live 28km from this mountain and would give my front teeth to have made such a beautiful video. Brilliant work.

Seriously some of the most gorgeous pieces of video I have ever seen. Whoever did the color grading for this is a master.
Well I did it myself. And there was zero color tweaking on this footage. Just slight contrast enhancement and denoise 😉

Holy crap! Extremely well shot. The quality is superb! Good work.
One of the greatest videos on youtube.
Just sheer beauty in every video you make. Honestly, the artwork from top to bottom to showcase that. I could watch your videos for hours.
Was fly fishing right down this mountain a week prior to eruption. Was stocked when I heard it was erupting. Sensational work.

Simply breathtaking. Nature at its best.
This is one of the coolest videos I have ever seen.
Hermoso y terrorífico a la vez. Y faltó la mejor parte, la actividad eléctrica.
Gracias por compartir.
Absolutely stunning imagery. Well done carpeting this and editing as well, mate. You have real talent!
Nature is both majestic and scary at the same time.
Nature has always been majestic ,pristine and serene until humans interfered and made it scary.
@@puravswain3029 Yeah like it was our fault that a fucking volcano errupted

Fantastische Aufnahmen Martin!!! Dies zu fotografieren/filmen muss ein unglaubliches Erlebnis gewesen sein! Grüsse aus Zürich
Sounds a little like Interstellar soundtrack
lordmasterization music by Ryan Taubert. You have to see Anomaly, the short film wich this song belongs to.
I was about to say that too
or X-Men Dark Phoenix
Michael Schendel yep
