This guy was responsible for Triple H terror run in the early 2000s 😂
😂😂
No one that understood the Ultimate Warrior character prior to WM 12 would have expected anything other than a squash match. This was a nostalgia match before nostalgia acts became popular in wrestling (like they are these days).
Warrior burying HHH was poetic seeing what HHH went on to do in his run
The cream rises to the top.
yeah,after warrior punked him like a b****
Its even more ironic since Triple H buried Sting, Warrior's old partner.
Warrior's right. This match was about him. HHH was not a star yet. Had Warrior even broken a sweat in the match, it would have damaged his comeback. He had to make an impression his first match back. HHH squashed a young Cody Rhodes in a cage match; HHH knows Warrior was right here.
Bullshit
HHH selling that right hand after Warrior kicked out of the pedigree and Vince yelling DID YOU SEE THAT RIGHT HAND!?!?!?!?!? was the best part of the whole match lololololol
Ultimate Warrior did a lot of wrong throughout his career, but he did the right thing by burying triple h lol
Anybody who stands up against The Clique is my hero.
DITTO OutsiderHALL! James Brian Hellwig (June 16,1959-April 8,2014)aka "The Ultimate Warrior," was ONE GREAT PERSON!
Warrior was absolutely right. He was coming back after 3 years and had to make an impression as he was still a top guy. Triple H at that time wasn't top of anything exept HBK's Disco stick bouncing up and down. It didn't kill his rise because he wasn't sleeping with the bosses daughter at that particular time. No he had to wait in line like the rest of the locker room and and every sports team around the states. It's alot of pricks but she settled for that prick lmfao. Warrior rules.
Hows tht????
@@M.AlexanderZagorski-uo1gumore like a 5 star douchbag
This dude legit sat up there and took credit for HHH's career. The 2 minute conversation he had with him BEFORE the match, and the equally long ACTUAL match, so the 4 minutes total of interaction time they've had throughout both their lives is what made HHH so great. Bro if that's not the funniest thing ever 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Getting squashed at wrestlemania taught 3H a valuable lesson sometimes you don't always get things the way you want but perseverance and persistence pay off and not for nothing at least 3H was there for the moment in the profession that he enjoys so there is that
@Dany Mercury lol
This interview was around 2002-03 so it was still fairly early in HHH's WWE career. Who knew he would go so long and so climb so high in the company? Certainly not Warrior.
funny because it's true
he said a little credit
I loved the Warrior growing up, but he was full of himself. Taking credit for HHH’s success
Let's be honest the ultimate warrior will be remembered as one of the most iconic intense charismatic colourful entertaining off the wall superstars in the history of professional wrestling that cannot be denied
@Stiv Garneski macho man was way better than warrior
He didn't say he was totally responsible for his success. He said "in some ways, I can probably take a little credit for what he's done in his career". That might be true. Maybe that incident lit a fire under HHH's ass to make him work harder to be a top guy?
@Jugger Not🔧 umm you are forgetting a man named ric flair perhaps you've heard about him
@Jugger Not🔧 were you even around back then? The reason I ask is because flair joined wwf in 91 and it was huge in the wrestling industry. Warrior fizzled out in 92. Flair went on to become a top wrestler again in WCW and then again in WWE until 2009. Warrior had five years peak 87-92 and a brief run in 96 while flair had over 25 years of peak popularity. The warrior will be long forgotten while people will still be quoting and whoooing long after flair is gone.
And if you are going by "flair was big in the 80's not the 90's argument then you may want to reconsider Andre because he was basically done by 1990.
Shawn Michaels was a Rocker, Brett Hart was part of the tag team Hart foundation. He left for 3 years and guys that were "B" tier, were now top guys..... Yea thats how it works.
The fact that this man didn't see a problem with kicking out of someone's finish tells you all you need to know.
Warrior was such a mark for himself
wat wrestler isnt lol
@@HhhHhhh-nu4lm Yeah I mean but it’s one thing to be a mark and actually put on a good match. Warrior wanted a squash match every time.

Ultimate Warrior buried HHH 20 years in advance to cover for Sting's unfortunate loss.
Didn’t you comment the same thing in a other video
@@Wringfale No that was a different person. This guy just stole the comment thinking nobody would notice.
Hhh has no right to complain about it now since he made a career out burying people .
@@HhhHhhh-nu4lm HHH never buried anyone. Delegating someone isn't a burial.
@@Speedyreedy1218 he buried booker t rvd and scott steiner
Warrior was the most protected star in WWE in terms of win loss record. He was WWE's Goldberg if you will and Goldberg before, well, Goldberg was cool.
HHH might have been able to get twice the amount of time in this match with Warrior, or maybe an actual kickout from his finish if he hadn't pulled that nonsense with The Kliq in 1995. He was being punished for that because Shawn was the champion and the other two left. This match was part of the punishment. HHH wasn't even that big until DX and the Attitude Era. That version of HHH was not on Warrior's level. Listen to his reaction or lack thereof from the crowd. He got scattered boos, and that was about it.
Regardless, this match was never going more than 5 minutes, even if HHH wasn't in WWE's doghouse, which he was because of the no-sell by Warrior. That was probably a last-minute instruction by Vince when he went out there.
Warrior is actually pretty respectful here and seems to see HHH's position. But HHH was a mid card guy here so getting squashed is all he could expect.
It was supposed to be an 11-12 minute match
- Bruce Prichard
I think the plan was always going to be a squash match. They were likely given a set time amount to where only a squash match was possible.
I think HHH understood that and agreed with it.
I think his resentments come from the fact that Warrior TREATED him like a jobber and not a rising star and guy with high standing in the locker room.
HHH was doing something he wouldn’t normally do, even back then. He was making a sacrifice for the company to re-integrate a big star and Warrior treated him like there was nothing else he would be doing if not jobbing to the Warrior so he treated him like Brooklyn Brawler.
That’s why when he spoke on it, HHH didn’t complain about what happened in the match but rather how Jim treated him.
Other people have said that the match was originally supposed to be somewhat longer. HHH was still supposed to lose, but it was supposed to be a few minutes rather than what it was. I think the part of the match were warrior disregards HHH's finisher was also added at the last minute.
HHH and everyone else was on-board with HHH losing. Its just that there was originally a different plan for the match and warrior supposedly changed it at the arena. HHH wasn't just in there to be squashed. He was in there as a skilled guy who could make the warrior look good in the ring.
I agree that it was all about Warrior's attitude and how he treated other people. It wasn't just that he was treating HHH as a jobber, HHH was in that match to take a bunch of bumps and HHH create a match (call the match as the heel) to make warrior look really good.
Triple h was buried bc of the curtain call
@@Savvage.875This. It was part of his punishment for exposing the business with that group hug. Having to work with the Ultimate Warrior was a pretty brutal comeuppance too. lol. Sid said he quit the WWF right after.

Ultimate warrior is a legend.we all hate him because it hip to hate him and hogan for that matter. He was huge part of our childhood. He was very over when he shook up the ropes . His wm six match with hogan is iconic. People trash for him being bad wrestler . Golden demographic was younger kids who didn't notice or cared warrior couldn't Wrestle. That era focoused more on entertainment aspect. Fans back then cared about flashy gimmick and charisma

We can say the same for Brett Hart, Michaels and several others
Looking back I agree. Why come back and have him lose or even have a subpar match. It’s the ultimate warrior and the crowd would’ve popped and they did.
He wasn't supposed to lose or have a subpar match. HHH was put in there to call the match and work with him taking bumps to make warrior look good.
Warrior no-selling everything in a 90 second match kind of defeated the whole purpose of the match. They could have put anyone in there to be squashed.
Lol this man was legit insane
People now aren’t used to hearing someone talk with no filter. It was very common before the mid-2000’s. The 80’s, 90’s etc. if you were an a-hole, nobody had a problem telling you so. Just the way it was

Ultimate Warrior was awesome RIP
Calling everyone the B team when he was there has to be the most comical thing he’s ever said
Warrior 10 out of 10
HHH 6 out of 10
Warrior buried HHH, so HHH decided to bury the world.😂
If that story about HHH getting Jerry Brisco to talk for him about their WM match is true then he’s right that you should always do that 1 on 1 face to like man, that’s how your earn respect
He tried that so he got Briscoe who was a agent at the time they have some say, 3H wanted a more competitive match that's understandable but at the same time what Udubs said is also understandable about making an impression and that nobody except for the top guys would be a challenge for the ultimate warrior so it kind of makes sense
@@HighFalutinTootin lol
Having Warrior win his return match via squash was the right move. HHH being his opponent was probably not the right move.
He didnt have a problem losing. He had a problem being squashed. You don't squash a new talent you're pushing and trying to get over. Have the bigger star beat him, not bury him. Have Warrior squash a jobber. Don't treat a new star who you're trying to build long term like a jobber.
@@Speedyreedy1218 don’t act like triple h didn’t bury legends

I wonder if it was a squash match because they needed the time for the iron man match later that night?
@@GABRIELA-ACEVEDO. No. It was because that's what Warrior wanted. Because they knew long ago about the Ironman match. Creative didn't just decide on it out of the blue. HHH wasn't the only talent making his WM debut. So was Goldust and his match with Piper had time.
Plus Austin wasn't on the card nor Pillman, Mankind, Farooq, or Rock (their debuts would be later in the year). With all that talent left off the card/not debutting, there was room for more than 50 seconds for HHH/Warrior. There was no point of having that match on PPV, WM of all ppvs, because it wasn't even a match.
I dont think the problem was Warrior going over and winning it was that HHH didn't want it to be a squash match joke. Which I can agree with.

It doesn't matter if people don't like HHH. No Selling someone's Finish - especially at WrestleMania - is Lame, and Selfish. A Finish is Called A Finish for a Reason, but just like everything else in the business, the WWF killed that too
@Dany Mercury
Special Moves? No...Here's some examples from 1986...The Russian Sickle was a Finish; The Gourd Buster was a Finish; The Slingshot was a Finish; The Flying Burrito was a Finish; The DDT was a Finish. When they were employed, the match was Finished. I watched a lot of wrestling back then and it was very rare to kick out of someone's Finish because it was a big part of their gimmick...
@Dany Mercury
I watched WWF too (I met Sivi Afi & Haku once) and you make some good points. We both know it's scripted so I guess that's what they wanted, and you're right, it was way too early in the match to use the Pedigree, but to just bounce right up without the slightest sell and then sit here and say he's responsible for Hunter's success is a trip? BTW, I was never a big fan of "The Dusty Finish" either - I think it hurt their product in the long run - just do the job for the Heel in the middle of the ring once in a while.
Oh come on, HHH pulled off his finish so early in the match that it would be stupid to not kick out of it. At least beat them down a bit and weaken them with a good back and forth before pulling out your trump card AKA finisher.

LONGEVITY is great, dumb Vince macmahon. Switching the belt so often I can't count. That's dumb. How often did Patriots win super bowl in a row! People couldn't believe hulk lost. It was too soon and for what? 1 year later ultimate warrior was gone!!! Totally stupid.
Warrior told it like it was Hunter was always dumb he should of known Warrior wasn't going to sell his finish Warrior made Hunter who he is .

Ultimate Warrior needed his real life Jim Hellwig ass whipped
You couldn't do it, tho
An army couldn't whoop this man...
Rick Rude did.
Warrior could have Atleast allowed hunter to roll him over and then power out after a one count. The complete no sell was a disgrace to the business. Standing up directly after the move not only made triple H look bad but it made wrestling look phony.
Man, Warrior was really fucked up in the head.
I don't understand how anyone could stand working with this guy let alone live with him.
He’s taking credit for what triple H has become? He really was full of himself.
Ultimate Warrior > keyboard warriors
His dead man
I mean it was pointless for the warrior to be jobbed by hhh at that time
More like he is taking credit for triple h's inferiority complex which led to all the atrocities that Triple H has committed as a talent in his career. I mean think about, everything that Triple H's reign of terror was, essentially was him compensating for what warrior did to him. There is a level of psychology here that is really astounding if you think about. I mean its like a serial killer who's traumatic event in his childhood leads him to use his victims as surrogates for the person he actually wants to harm but never can. This moment essentially made triple H the person he is, was and ever will be. He grasped and took hold of every aspect of wrestling so that THIS could never happen to him again.
Warrior should've been to jobbed to Brooklyn Brawler
Warrior is 100% right about inspiring Triple H as a main eventer. "The Game' is a total rip-off of the Warrior gimmick - big jacked, long haired barbarian guy who rarely loses. And Triple H only got himself booked that way to make fans forget how weak he looked next to Warrior.
This interview aged terribly.
Yeah that's bs warrior you didn't make him famous Stephanie McMahon did sheesh ... That's funny I remember the b team turning into the a team
The patron saint of anti-woke himself. Salute.
Wait, is that what politicians who say they are "anti-woke" mean?! The "saint of anti-woke" is a delusional, homophobic, racist with bad cardio, who made public vile, bigoted, hateful, judgmental comments about a cancer victim, Hurricane Katrina victims, and even Martin Luther King Jr.? I'm trying to educate myself before voting in my first election, and my understanding is that Republicans are "anti-woke." Interesting.
True jealousy. Instead of being gracious for having worked with part of the then next generation of talent, he decided to be spiteful about how one match went and its what-ifs ready to put on his old guard hat to show what's good vs what's bad.
If people like Warrior owned all the territories back in the 80s, wrestling would've never changed; Thank God that wasn't the case.
He seems kind of werid
Warrior was a terrible wrestler and he was delusional hopefully he did decided to change later on.
Hhh was always overrated the guy sucked and only lasted as long as he did for riding Shawn’s and Stephanie’s coat tails
L
That's not true and you know it HGH carved a spot for himself and he had a great career in my opinion bagging Stephanie McMahon hot as F ass was just the cherry on top and yeah it helped him keep a job but he still had to work at it and he evolved his character
This guy has no friends.
