Absolutely agree with the points made here. I got my 2015 RWD F-Type R last summer, and I've been loving it! I always say that with the F-Type R, you get 1/3 sports car, 1/3 GT car and 1/3 muscle car all in one package. I paid in the mid-50s for mine (low mileage and through a pre-owned luxury car dealer), and even at that price I feel like it's a bargain for what it delivers. I also agree that the glass roof is the way to go. I adds so much to the experience.
The competition doesn't compete in terms of looks, sound or interior materials. A used 911 Turbo S will be faster but sound like a vacuum. A much older GTR or R8 could cost the same but be worse in terms of maintenance, power and performance. This is a damn nice car.
Absolutely right… I own a 2015 F Type V8S, the original loud noise and with a stage 3 update from Velocity to 660. With that much power being RWD is so much fun… mine is white, with the red top and 85% red interior. So people ask me if it’s new, never seen one. That is what is hurting these cars, people believe the rumours of unreliability, it’s just an owner needs to be under maintenance.
Absolutely spot on, been telling everyone the same since I've owned my Firesand F-Type R. It's a sharp 2 seater sports car, a posh luxury car, a hooligan muscle car, a supercar, practical, reliable and cheap to run comparatively to Aston, Ferrari etc. It's ALL of those things, find me a other that does this! I'm in a member of various Supercar Owner's clubs and we go for runs and to display events (where we show our cars). I'm among Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, McLarens and still people come to check my car out as much as all the others 😎
I have a 2014S v8 that supercharged engine is so much fun I don’t drive every day, but when I do it is a breath of fresh water. The looks the power omg
So happy to see you guys back in the F-Type, I was disappointed when you sold your white Jag, but now in an SVR (575BHP) Nice looking car & well done. Look forward to some great content coming up. I agree I bought my R nearly 3 years ago, all black with black interior. It has never disappointed me and there is little that will touch it, where I live anyway!! Cheers fellas & again, well done!
What a car. An f type V8 has got that special something that is more than the sum of its parts. Not the fastest, not the sharpest handling but it all just adds up to something very intoxicating. I have an early RWD R and love turning off the DSC (traction control) and using the power to adjust the cornering attitude. Many owners in the wet U.K. never experience the true ability of their cars due to its reputation. I will be following your adventures.
Great review, I have been lucky enough to own the SVR with the carbon ceramic brakes & carbon fibre pack for 5 years without any issues at all. Wouldn't change it for anything else on the market right now.
Good content guys. Look forward to the future videos and the rundown of the technical features that come with the SVR over the R. I went from a 2015 F-Type identical to the one you had to a Blackwing 4 6spd manual. A couple of years from now they will be sub $50K
Well done guys. A brilliant all round vehicle The SVR versions are fantastic The AWD gives you confidence and reassurance, of grip / traction, in all situations. Can be driven all year round. Absolutely awesome These will most definitely become sought after, and go up in value. 👍 🚗 💥 💨
Where did you get a SVR for $50k? Incredible! They're at LEAST 70k everywhere I look. One thing that few people mention is that the coupe has a pretty good-sized trunk, too. 14.4 cubic feet, best in class! I love my F Type and will probably keep it forever.
After this nice video , i would like to upgrade from Ftype V6 S 2015 to Ftype R 2018 or 2019. Anyway , the V6 S is a great car as well with a sound of 60s
I've been in love with this car since I saw it in Top Gear a few years ago. I hope my business keeps growing to be able to afford it in the near future
I used to have a 2017 F-Type R (best car I ever owned) and felt terrible starting it up early in the morning to go to work. Didn't matter if I started it with the valves closed, it was still loud as hell.😂
Is this price for the used model? The new jaguar f-type r starts at 77k without additions. I'm looking to buy my first car and I'm dead stuck comparing the bmw m340i, lexus is500 and mustang gt. I excluded the jaguar because it was too pricey. Any suggestions are appreciated.
All good cars, all likely too much for your first car, especially if you buy it new. Best to save up and buy a home first then buy one of those used when you can easily afford a few new in cash.
Yes! It is not the next video but the one after that will go into detail on common. Items, especially someone you will not be thinking about when you are excited to purchase!
Def looking to get a 2014 or 2015 S or R, perfably 2015 year, with my budget though for a used one, the miles will probs be between 30-45k. Don’t think it’s want to get a used one that’s over 45k unless the owner took real good care of it.
So hard to believe the F-Type R is not appreciated more for its stunning beauty, fantastic supercharged V8 motor, and remarkable value.
Agreed

That's exactly what I'm looking for in black, 2015/2016 bit of mileage and hopefully one owner who treated the car with love

Well said 💯

Going for the crank and sc pulley from vap myself on my 2014 v8s.
What are your thoughts after six months?
@, I did mine 2 years ago. Absolutely perfect, no issues.
Absolutely spot on, been telling everyone the same since I've owned my Firesand F-Type R.

Change the oil more often than the manufacturer recommends - sorted

You would be surprised how much you can talk somebody down for a sports car in this day and age. If it ain't a SUR, it isn't selling.
They just made a 2300 super charger for the car. Its value will go up when people see the mods they can put on.
What’s the link ?
After this nice video , i would like to upgrade from Ftype V6 S 2015 to Ftype R 2018 or 2019.

Keep grinding! Check back when you get yours!
I heard they were gonna discontinue the gas option and I got the AWD supercharged R and I love it

I am slowly getting over it.
I like this review
Amazing ❤ what an incredible car!

If you want our suggestion. Don't buy new and pay with cash. Great car choices you have listed. My personal choice of those would be is500.
All good cars, all likely too much for your first car, especially if you buy it new. Best to save up and buy a home first then buy one of those used when you can easily afford a few new in cash.
Can we get a video diving into common issues and watch outs before buying please?
Yes! It is not the next video but the one after that will go into detail on common. Items, especially someone you will not be thinking about when you are excited to purchase!
Yessssssssssssssss
I already knew that
Scream it louder for the people in back 🗣️
No, your neighbors don't like you firing it up in the morning.
Bummer.
SO HOW MANY MILES ON IT??
40k

Gotta say, this car has the worst sound system to ever be used in a car
I would not know. Have never turned it on.
Maserati Ghibli?
Wholy F, that’s your dad? Was he 9 when he had you?
Gotta keep em guessing.
