    I've had mine two years and every drive still feels like an event. I bought the P300 mainly because it's 52 kg lighter (over the front axel) and you don't need to be a race engineer to know that this has a very positive effect on ride and handling. The only downside I've found with this model is it really lacks the aural drama of the bigger engined F-Types, but I can live with that. In September I drove from the North of England to the French Riviera and back and averaged 38.2 MPG and my VED is now £190 - the same as my wife's three cylinder MINI Cooper. Obviously, I didn't buy it to save money (for me a dream car), but it does sweeten the ownership experience. C-Type

    Got my Ftype a month ago. I couldn't be happier. There are some good buys out there, don't stress on cost of repairs on any model 2016 or newer, they run fine. If the previous owner was doing regular maintenance, it should be fine. Of course, have it checked out by certified Jaguar mechanic to get the warm fuzzy that there's no issues. 😊

    Top tip, bum-first is the only way into a sports car and an important sign of automotive etiquette. Knocking your heels to clear the shoes off some dirt is optional but I do it all the time 😂 I'm 6ft 2 (188cm) and I've adopted this entry technique ever since I bought a TT years ago and continue with the F-type. For me it's all about the noise and looks plus the tactile interior with nice clicking noises. Besides, mine being one of 188 manual transmission examples made for the UK market, it's even more special, IMO. New camera is good. CType

    In reality Ferrari and Porsche are old men brands too (how often do you see a 25-30 year old in either? It’s probably more about price and cost of ownership than image. The F type provides so much style and performance is hard to know what to replace it with. The Evora is great and Lotus have a younger image but they’re still pricey! @@tootalltodrive I looked at F Type's a year ago, when I decided to go back to a 2 door coupe (4 years in an M140i).
      I wanted a Cayman ideally but they were outside my budget for the engine size and spec I required.
      The F Type was a nice looking car, but reliability issues with the V6, lack of rear seats and over all space/practicality, and the naff interior all put me off.
      The OG M2 ticked all the boxes, and was the best handling/steering. plus had a large boot, rear seats, and no real reliability concerns.
      After a year with it, I am more than happy, it's a fantastic car.
      The G87 is an amazing car, much better than any F Type in every way, the only thing that could sway a buyer towards the Jag is the exterior styling, which is a personal preference.
      How you could even think about comparing a RWD, 6 cylinder, sports coupe to an AWD hatch, is ridiculous quite frankly.

    • @tootalltodrive
      @tootalltodrive  Месяц назад +2

      @ A G87 is closer to a VW Golf than a Cayman, F-Type, Emira, etc. It sits high on the road for a sports car, there is no compromise in the road quality, like my VW Golf. • @DjNikGnashers
      @DjNikGnashers Месяц назад +1

      @@tootalltodrive Completely disagree.
      A G87 M2 is a fantastic handling, RWD, sporty coupe. Your 'opinion' is obviously based on some daft fanboy hatred of BMW's, and not actually based on reality.
      You drive a Golf, and you admit you have not driven an M2. That says everything I need to know.
      The interior of the G87 M2 is fantastic, everything is very high quality (unlike your Golf), it is levels above for chassis dynamics, cornering and handling, which is why the ride is not as comfy, newsflash it's a sports car.
      The seats are fantastic, the looks are subjective to the viewer but fk me, if you prefer a Golf over a sporty 2 door coupe, then I really have no words to describe how your opinion of sporty coupes should not be taken as anything other than fanboyism.
      I worked in the motor trade for many years, drove everything you could imagine, and owned dozens of cars.
      I'd say the Golf is an average hatch, no better or worse than dozens of other clones of hatchbacks, nothing stands out, it doesn't do anything particularly better than any other boring hatch, but if that is what a buyer is looking for, great.
      An M2 is a special thing, not just levels above a Golf, but in another league.
