@@kenvoong5977 where I live the climate is very pleasant it is in Jalisco here the roses grow very well I asked the DA company and they told me that they did not send due to shipping restrictions and licenses but that they hoped that in the future they would have shipments I super hope that they do ship because I love those roses and I need them in my garden
So many buds! I hope the stems will get thicker with age and will support the flowers. The closed bud reminds me of Emma Hamilton buds/colour, then when it opens the buds look like Harlow carr:)
Your rose looks fantastic. I wasn’t impressed with mine and she wasnt delivered safely. Stems were yellow, with yellow buds, broken stems and flowers. I shared it on my RUclips channel. DA is sending me a replacement. Congratulations with the new member of your garden 🤗🌹❤️
A very nice-looking shrub - love those (many) reddish buds and the glossy leaves.I've found that a lot of my DA roses need support, particularly in their first year, because the roses they bear are so heavy and numerous - so that's a good problem to have! But, yes, it would be good to see reassuringly thick stems right away. Now it's just a question of patience, waiting for the flowers to open. Each new rose is a voyage of discovery and it's only after a few years that we can fully appreciate how it performs in our own gardens = good luck on this trip!
Thank you Nik, so far I’ve only experienced poets wife, mill on the floss, golden celebration and of course Poak with her huge immensely fragrant flowers.have this floppy character , perhaps it’s not in Their idea growing location. Fingers crossed Penelope isn’t the case, still very early stages.
Ken, I am VERY VERY impressed with your garden. Penelope is MAYBE what I am looking for : cerise pink English rose shrub. But I am worried if the stems are strong enough to hold the blooms. It worries me if you say that the stems are THIN. I will watch your channel to get more info. I am about to buy Princess Alexandra of Kent. Do you reccomend it to me ? (Central Europe - warmer climate). Thank You !
Hi Milena, princess Alexandra is one of my favourite Da rose, it bears huge flowers and has an amazing sweet fruity fragrance. I will later review the new rose and give you my own opinion. As it’s a new rose, it would need time to grow. The stems maybe thin now but who knows what the future holds for this rose. English roses have the best fragrant in the world, their varieties are huge with the most beautiful blooms. But English roses aren’t as robust as some breeders like kordes where their stem are thick and stand up very to elements.
That's wonderful Ken thanks for sharing that with us, she looks very full of bud and very lush I am excited for you and you did a great job with it, I always find getting into boxes hard work. Those flowers won't be long before they are blooming. DPD are delivering mine later today so I have another 4 hours to wait ! I am looking forward to seeing your future reviews and how she behaves in a pot for you. I'm sure she will be fabulous 🌹
Thanks soulgirl, mine was in top condition. Good luck with yours hope their flowers are open when it arrives . you can be the first to appreciate its fragrance. Please tell me if they are as good as it’s says.
@@kenvoong5977 Hi Ken, no unboxing for me I'm afraid :( DPD just sent a text cancelling the delivery for today ! They're not bothering to show up - how charming is that :( That is very shoddy of them to book a delivery slot in for today and at the eleventh hour just cancel it 👎
Love your garden Ken. Looking forward to your posts. Have a great day. Enjoy sorting the new roses out Excellent glad I came across your posts. Very happy watching your joy . Kind regards
Bless you Ken. We all inspire together ;) Well done on the unboxing. Schoolboy error on the scissors that made me smile and something I’ve done :) A real shame nothing in flower but I did suspect that would more than likely be the case. But I’m sure within 4 or 5 days we will see the flowers. Look forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing her development in future. Cheers Ken
lol… I was rushing to get the unboxing done before going to work. Hoping you would be the first to make a review Of this rose . We’re all intrigue to hear you opinion.

Maybe that’s a good things, because buying roses is so addictive. It’s almost has no end.

Looks a beautiful rose. I would get it if I had space in a border.

I also popped over from Jay Jay's channel, he's a good man.
You have a beautiful garden, look forward to more content 🍀
Thanks and welcome
Great video I have also ordered this rose , i thought Dannahue was nice but very thorny
Dannahues Petals were loosely form and very thorny indeed , fragrance was moderate. Fingers crossed it may improve over time
