If you would leave the finish at a 320 grit sanding instead of a high polished it would look 110% better after the costic salts.
I don't dare think about the shape that this small automatic was in.
This is great restoration. But there's little mistake in video. Na2CO3 is washing soda. And NaOH *is* caustic soda
I love that she didnt do no scrubbin or nothin. She went straight chemicals. A perfect example of work smarter not harder. 👍

very nice restoration but can it fire? The barrel is probably too corroded. I love these videos.
It may still successfully fire but it probably too corroded to go semi auto as it may only shoot one bullet at a time. Still not recommended, this pistol only great for collecting.
Great job, but the Hi-Power looks mechanically unsound. It'll make a decent wall hanger, but it's definitely not safe to shoot.

It would be amazing to see if it still shoots.
It would probably shoot at least once. I’ve seen an old ww2 pistol shoot 3-4 times before the firing pin snapped and never shot again sadly.

Le nombre d’erreurs sur le 1906!!!!le canon d’origine n’est pas bronzé, le ressort de gachette et de chargeur est monté a l’envers elle aurait pu poncer jusqu’à au moins 2500 avec tout ce matos pour 50€ elle en avait un neuf
Why are none of them test fired in a vise? Also the end finish is not real great I see a lot of missing spots and do not ever use a wire wheel on a firearm. Quantity or quality I guess is what is going on. Another one wasn’t the second one a browning hi power not a 35.
