Absolutely!! And I'm so impressed by how much detail he picks up on a first listen. He's got such a good ear. (And that impish look of joy and wonder when he hears something amazing just cracks me up!)
The Video was Recorded in "Le Studio" where RUSH did "Moving Pictures"!!! The Base of the song is a Combo of "Satisfaction" & "Day Tripper", which Blends Beautifully into a ROCK Homage!!!!!
Your next “trip to Canada” should be Triumph. A great trio that will definitely impress you. Recommend Fight The Good Fight live from the US Festival. Please and thank you!
That US Festival show propelled them to US big time , they were already big in Canada. Saw them in Kingston ,Ontario in Canada 1978 excellent show just wish it was not so hot and muggy in arena . Everyone in crowd was drenched in sweat but it was fantastic
The song was written and recorded by Lorence Hud who had a Canadian top twenty with it almost a decade before April Wine's cover. I like both versions.
These guys are Nova Scotia's favorite sons. Unfortunately the lead singer, Miles Goodwyn, passed about a year ago.. Thanks for sharing his music with your many fans.👍🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦
Not just Nova Scotia's but Montreal's as well, since three of the members (both Brian's & Jerry Mercer) are Montreal boys! Plus, they were based jn Montreal when this album was released and throughout their heyday. At this point. Myles was the only one in the band from Nova Scotia.
They were one of 3 big bands from Canada, RUSH , April Wine and Triumph. There was a big song writer/singer too, that recently passed ? Gordon Lightfoot, "the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald " very very sad song an true story.
April Wine is probably one of the BEST underrated bands out there. Pure GOLD! Yes, they had their fan base but they should have made it MUCH bigger than they did!
Classic song, growing up in Canada: we lived on: Rush, Triumph, April Wine, BTO, Guess Who, Tragically Hip, Red Rider ...because of CANCON...30% of all songs on the radio had to be by Canadian artists.... i feel blessed
I saw April Wine open for Styx in 1978 in LA… some of us “old geezers” got to see the people you are starting to react to! 😊 Told you brother I’m your 70’s guru!
@@kallsop2 Both sound like awesome shows!! This is my first time really listening to April Wine, and it’s 🔥. Hoping MB will do more Foreigner and especially more Styx soon…though there are so, so many bands he’s still discovering, so I guess I’ll be patient 🤷♀️😂
As a Canadian its good to see April Wine get their due. Nice reaction. If guitars are your thing you have to check out Jeff Healey. See the Light, Night Music 1988. Dude plays with a technique you have never seen before and its pure fire.
Although I had heard of April Wine (my brother is an excellent guitarist) I had never actually heard any song by them. This is the first of many I’m sure I’ll be downloading. Thanks for this!
I was a teenager in the '70s. We used to call this type of music "guitar rock" because it was focos3d on the awsome guitar work. The disco music of the time was all about the dance beat, some disco groups only had 1 guitar!
I've made it my unofficial business to know all the good music from 1964 to 1999 and as great as these guys were, I have NEVER HEARD of these guys. How did these guys hide from me for so long?
I never thought of April Wine as "hard rock" back in the day. Rock as gotten so soft... April Wine is now fuckin' metal AF !! No lip-sync, no auto-tune, WYSIWYG ! Now look at BTO.
I love watching you experience all these great bands. My friend & I grew up listening & talking music and we are both musicians. Your channel is like a trip down memory lane. You are a good dude MollyBoy! If you are ever in Los Angeles I'd love to talk music my Brother!

Yes a great Canadian group. We have had many over the years. But if you like great guitar you won't want to miss Jeff Healey. Late 80's/90's. See the Light was a big hit and live versions are out there.
Seen April Wine at a Rock festival in SLC in the 90s. Might have seen them as an opening band at Bob Segar at Salt Palace in 80s as well. That's a long time ago and there were too many substances involved 😅 Lot's of great tunes from them as the commenters hit upon. ❤
Canadian Rock at it's finest. Growing up in Canada as teen in the 80's April Wine was always played at parties and to jam out. Could have been a lady and I like to Rock are bangers too. They have tons of great song's. Glad you enjoyed it Molly Peace out 🙏☮️✌️
We in the early 70's were so lucky experiencing bands such as April Wine. They played at 2 of my high school dances back then and followed them around the Montreal scene with a few good buddies as groupies. What a great time we had. My favorite tune was Drop Your Guns. They played this tune at both high school dances.. So glad I was part of it..
Myles is from my hometown Woodstock NB and played at our local highschool in 1973 and they put on a hell of a show.. Myles told us their new album would be Weeping Widow (came out as electric jewels) blew the whole audience away.

We thought you'd like April Wine. Another great Canadian band. Check out. I like to Rock next (not to be confused with their other song, I wanna rock). Both are good. Speaking of Canadian bands, check out more of Triumph, too.
Wow, thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories. I saw April Wine in the late 1970’s in London, Ontario Canada. I’m so glad the younger generations are finally opening up to listen to what they once considered “oldies” and never appreciated what they were missing. True musicians, singers etc. When you saw a band live they sounded as good as the recordings (sometimes better). My first concert was RUSH, what a mind blowing experience that was.
