Found a super easy way to do it. Push tire and ard, already in tire, up out of channel in rim, then tire lever last part. Boom. I was trying to lever tire on without shifting ard over. Was tough that way.
Took me almost 1 hour to fit the front tyre! Broke 2 levers and spent a whole load of time swearing. I sprayed a little wd40 on the tyre bead and rubbed some on the rim lip for the rear and it went on in 5 minutes!
Which side is supposed to be facing the rim though? The way the insert naturally curves is for the larger side facing the rim which creates a big gap between the side parts and the edges of the rim. When I flip mine around to have the smaller foam side facing the rim it seems to fit much better. The side protrusions are right on the edge of the rim and look like they would protect it better this way.
Tried to install ARD on an asymmetric 29" RaceFace Arc30 rim. It´s not possible. I broke three bombproof Pedro´s tire lever. It´s impossible to get the last 1/4 of the tire on the rim. Do you have any compatibilty issues with these rims or am i just too stupid?
I got these a few months back, had high hopes. Got the full setup installed etc, couple of rides later its leaking air 🙄 the foam has split.. totally disappointed..
I'm planning to install these soon and I'm reading a lot about people having issues with them expanding and absorbing tubeless sealant. Is there a way to prevent this before installing the inserts? Maybe impregnate them beforehand so they don't absorb any liquid?
I put the inserts in and tyre on without putting in the correct valve cores. I just left the old ones in. Now I cant get sealant into the tyre, nor can I get the tyre off again. Its so hard to get a tyre lever in it just wont come off. Any idea how to get the tyre off again so I can put the correct valve in?
@@TomASwift Its not just about the tyre levers although the plastic ones aren't strong enough. Its also about the fact that I cant even get the lever under the bead now, it's seated so tightly against the rim. I gave up after about an hour. It seems to be so well seated without sealant in it that I have no choice but to run it that way. otherwise I will have to cut a brand new tyre off to get the correct valve core inserted to then pour sealant in.
Hi Nukeproof, I’ve had my ARD inserts for a while now but they rattle in between my tire and rim! I’ve seen online that they expand over time and even when returning them under warranty after three months the new ones do the same! Are you aware of a way to stop this? Thanks
seems like they are. You can cut it: media.chainreactioncycles.com/is/content/ChainReactionCycles/Catalogue/Press%20reviews%20%26%20additional%20content/Nukeproof/How_to_shorten_ARD.pdf
Ive replicated this video at least a dozen times and I can't seem to get the past 3/4 of the tire on. I have no problem getting it on without the insert. What could be the problem?
I like how they don't show the mechanic getting the last 1/4 of the tyre on the rim 🤔🤔🤣🤣.

It was easy in my maxxis tire. Like super easy. My WTB gave me trouble.
He did
@@roryvoss3411 nope, they didn't, they just showed them pulling the Lever out. 👍

After struggling for 30 minutes, decided to use some soap on the tire. Job done in less than 5 minutes!

Will this work with 3 inch tires on 50mm rims?
not ideally, sorry. We are looking at a bigger volume version that may help in the future
Bought mine last year and after a few rides the thing starched and now has no lateral support and bumps in the rim and tier making allot of noise

OK now please show us fitting ARD on Horizon V2 rim and magic marry gravity tyre.

will it fit in my inspired flow 24 (24 inch)wheel?
No
How much lower on pressure can one go using these inserts? I use 28-29psi on my rear. Using them what pressures are expected ?
Tough call, depends on your riding style really, you can drop the pressures, but that does start to effect other factors when riding.
I’m buying for the stickers
€50 stickers
excuse me ,some reviews said when they run two or three months ago ,your product is expended
is this fix it now?

What are the min/max tire width specs for ARD?
ARD is currently designed around "normal tyres" upto 2.5/ 2.6" dependant on manufacturer

any insert will do that. stuff the other side of the tire down into the center of the rim to ensure you have the most slack.
I already have a muc off tubeless set up. Can I swap the valve heads off your valves, and install them on my blue muc off valves?
You can but it's hard to get air into the tyre..
just try to cut the rubber on the muc off valves and if it doesnt work use the nukeproof valves
26 inç?
Is there any to stop them making noise?
Hi, They shouldn't make noise, if this continues please return to the retailer to warranty them. Thanks
can I use syringe to put the sealant in?
Use whatever you like
This 45mm valve look like a dick 😂😂 I hope you start to make 40 and 35mm valves available for purchase
Absolute bastards to fit and now totally impossible to get the tyre off - I’m literally going to have take a hacksaw to the tyre to get it off.
They rattle
great video. worst music ever..
