We had just moved back into my childhood home, I was to attend vocational school at the end of summer, I was beginning to have real life responsibilities at 16 and I was excited to be an almost adult. Things were so easy then, it felt like I had the world by its ass and no one could take that away. Mom got a DUI over the summer so I ended up driving more than ever because she couldn't and as a thanks, we would go to waterparks together. It was a blessed time as we were close but never really hung out like that. And I know she hated having the DUI, but it brought us closer together and gave me memories I'll treasure forever. I just wish I took more pictures and spent less time chasing girls. Now I'm 29 and the Plastic Beach album (or really the greatest hits album since that was my first one, but I watched mostly Plastic Beach music videos on RUclips) takes me right the hell back. I miss it so much. Maybe I'll miss being 29 too one day. I would love to like, live through my happy moments again, even if it was just a dream. The ability to go back and reexperience that period would be bliss...
