- Sorry for the rant but very frustrating lap because the driver of the 991 GT3 wouldn't let me pass.
People please, put you ego aside on the Ring and just let a faster car pass!! From the moment I see a faster car approaching in the mirror I move over straight away, doesn't matter if it's a Clio or a LaFerrari, just let them pass if they are quicker. It will be a lot more fun and safer for everyone!
I was getting a "little" upset when after I kept hinting nicely to the GT3 driver to let me pass but at Breitscheid he just blocked the whole road not to let me pass on purpose. And then at the straight at Kesselchen he knew I could't see the motor bike driving dangerously slow on the left (wrong) side as well and the GT3 indicated left as if to let me pass. Fortunately I saw the biker! Don't know for sure if he ment for me to run into him but please don't do stuff like this on the ring people!
I feel your pain. Sadly this is all-too-common track-day behaviour. Many "faster" car drivers delight in parking on apexes then gun it down the straights to prevent better driven (but less powerful) cars from passing. Even though it's not a race there is no reason to hold-up faster traffic. If a car comes up behind you, they're faster; let them pass safely. End of _my_ rant.
great driving! would've been a much more fun lap against that beast 1M if the douche on the GT3 didn't make you loose time
991 didn't know what the fuck he was doing, which is fine to be out there learning, but when you have faster cars on your ass you move off the racing line safely to allow the other cars to pass. As a general rule of thumb, if you can see a car approaching in your rear view, they're faster than you.

Spriggs Family I've got respect too, don't get me wrong, but some little bit of technology helps too! This isn't old school racing technics, all the newer technology helps (like in downshifts, in this case). No matter what, good track line!!

TF days are not meant to race. even overtaking on the right-hand is forbidden.
I hope the guy in the white one reads this, you embarrassed yourself being over taken by a lesser car and you embarrassed yourself with your terrible blocking, you might have money but you're joke.

I love the GT3 and GT3 RS as a car…but there are some GT3 owners who think they are so fast only by driving a GT3 and will not let someone else pass… I have had this issue also with the same type of cars and the problem is mostly in the corners, where is't all about the knowledge of the track and not the hp. The dude in the white 991 GT3 is a typical example! I don't get it why you will not let a faster (even less expensive car) just pass…Whatever faster driver is behind me; I will give them a free pass if there is place to move to the right side even it is a VW Golf diesel….

Worth a rant. Your vid makes me want to throw things. Terrible etiquette from many of the drivers. From a fellow GT4 owner...congrats on your skills. Great job. Hopefully a cleaner lap next time.

Great driving and fun lap besides that asshat in the white GT3. I have a sapphire blue GT4 and love it. Wish the Ring was closer, but I do live in Texas near the COTA F1 track and have already driven it in the GT4. What a blast these cars are on the track. Kudos to you for driving the GT4 as God and Porsche intended. :)

Pity for the GT3... apart from that, the 1M in the last part was fast... You were faster at corner entry, but that thing rocketed out of the corners very well
an urgent rear view camera needed on the low right side display of our screens.

Nice driving! I love the sound of that flat six. It's really sad the 991.2 Carrera's have lost this sound. Yeah, some people don't realize that the car doesn't automatically make you fast on the track. It's all about who's a faster driver, and if you're a slower driver, you'll need to let faster drivers pass no matter what they're driving.

I agree the 991 GT3 driver is an ass. On track days you should let someone faster than you a couple of time on your tail at corners pass despite that your car may be faster on the straights. A very busy day there and the capabilities of cars/bikes and drivers varied greatly.
It's not a track day but a tourist day , people are there to enjoy it not to race .

For some people it seems to be a challenge, for others just fun. Drive a real race and you will see your limits. Take it easy...
Wow that Cayman GT4 really has some long gearing! Wouldn't it be sweeter, especially on the public road, if the gears were a little shorter?
By the way: Love your driving! Downshifts are so agressive and precise... :)
stotheimon1 GT4 has an auto blipping feature in sport mode, but yes I have a friend who has one and he says it's the best.
@@kiroshi6414 still don't have to use auto blip, most good drivers obviously wouldn't. This is a really fun car to slide around with too but needs shorter gears .
Those bikers appear so clueless for me.. they are literally all over the place and seem to have no intention to place themselves correctly on the track.

I wonder if there is someone at the ring that you can forward that video to. I suspect they probably have safety representatives.
First of all : nice style and lap.Then about your comment : on the principle I totally agree. I don't have a very fast GT4, just a mini, but sometimes I overtake very sport cars, and sometimes I let pass crazy sleepers. Tourist days are not a race, just fun for yourself, so it's safer to let people faster overtake quickly. But in your case I didn't see strong block.1. The orange 997, was hold on for a while, then dangerous area to hold right... as soon as it was safe he moved right.2. 991 GT3... this one is a bit more open to debate, it seems the driver was not so open to let you go, but not crazy either... He was hold on for a while, then it was the fast uphill, more horsepower, he probably thought he would have enough to move away, and he did for a while. Then for sure you had to press him a little bit, but he let you go.3. The 1M... very difficult to judge, at some corners you were faster, but overall it was very similar. So probably not so obvious in his Mirror, and anyway you had very little to gain.
And at the end you probably are happy to have a video with this title ;)Once again, nice lap ;)

Also have no problem with the GT3RS except he could let me pass a little sooner at Wehrseifen but he had to judge it and indeed see if it was safe. At least he noticed and let me pass which is kind. But the GT3 I had a problem with. Believe me when you were in my seat you feel how he kept blocking me. Just very dangerous and frustrating. At the moment coming into Breitscheid he should have just let me pass but instead he wanted to stay in front. Just like you said TF are absolutely no races so there is no reason to keep a faster car behind you who indicates for about 2 minutes to pass. 1M absolutely no problem with as well. He was faster in some parts and you don't see me indicating to pass then, only when I feel I'm quicker. Greets and enjoy the Ring!
