The amazing thing is that some Sellers are kinda Rude and think that I'm being a Nuisance by asking these questions , these People are Advertising their Products and expect us to buy them but with little to no info on the product ! They Will List these things and never ever mention anything about the "Bound Status" but what they will do is find all the time in the World to write-up a long list of their Store Policies and the Non Return and No Refund Sale Items but you are not to ask Pertinent questions about a Product when spending your money !😮
You are Right ! My Stars were aligned cause I must tell you , I bought quite a Few Mini-2 drones for a couple years now and I was so so Lucky not to have had one that was Bound but now I understand it , no way I'm going to take that risk , it's to much Stress to get these things Unbound and finding the Owner could be a real pain in the ass ! Like looking for a Needle in a Haystack !!!!😮
Ya i turned in my bs today after buying a bound air 3 from best buy...wow. ill give it till Tuesday and its going back. They told me 2 tp 3 days maybe no yes or no. I want to know for sure how long it took them for u and if it worked

If the ebay listing is an individual ask if they are the owner ask them to unbind the account. If it's a company have them send you a document like the one shown in the video.
I bought mine from a third party. It was bound to another account.Asked him for the signed letter. Never heard back from him. He eventually ghosted me. Drone is now useless. Any alternatives?
I was shopping for a damaged drone to repair and found a good deal. Then last minute it turned out that it was bound to someone's account who owned the drone before the guy who is selling it. I passed because with a defective drone I might actually need DJI's help to get it flying again. With multiple former owners this doesn't seem worth it.

Yea heres the problem, i purchased mine off marketplace. Im worried that it could have been stolen in which case the done will be taken from me and than im out thr money i spent on it. Than it is up to me to spend more money and attempt to go after the person i bought it from in civil court which will cost even more money. I know this because i had a moped i purchased and tried to register and that happened to me and luckily i had all the proof i legally purchased it but than i was just out tgat money, i had than spent money trying to go througg the civil court and nothing ever came of it they pretty much just took my money again and everything fizzled out. Complete b.s.
I understand that not every Seller will have all the Info on the Product but Simply mentioning it , could make a big difference cause if I'm buying a Drone and the Seller says "I'm not sure if it's Bound to a Previous Account" , that can make all the difference in the World to the decision you make but to just say "the Drone has Scuffs and marks , it has a broken arm , no battery or remote or charger , Drone only" and you are suppose to just buy that Drone and don't even know that you could be buying a Drone that can't fly nowhere !!!!! Rediculous !!!! The Drone could be Bound to an Account and that same Drone could be bought for Parts , I only have to know where I stand in terms of what I will be doing with the Product !!!! Most of what I do is Repair , so I am expecting my Product to be Flyable after I'm done repairing !!! Seems like most of these People who are Resellers of Drones don't have a Real Clear Understanding about them !!!!😮

Ive just bought a dji avata off of ebay. (It has 30day return) The seller doesnt have the ability to unbind it. Is that a problem?
I would get the refund unless the seller can prove they are the original owner then you might be able to use my work around to unbind it.
