The patient wants to replace her denture but the teeth won't be able to support it properly if it has gaps.. so for us to create a long-lasting denture are to make her teeth support each other by creating contact..

I actually had an Army dentist close the gap in my front teeth using this method. 40 YEARS AGO! It’s still holding strong. Probably used different material but whatever he used has been going strong!!

this is amazing, hate it how most of the doctors would just file the teeth and put veeners to get more cash, when this procedure is available.
not all dentists are good with direct restoration
it's not only money based . it's also skill based
It gets discoloured within 3 years
You’ll be replacing these composites within a few years. They need good enamel to bond to and ideal occlusion, which are not ideal here. When they break or discolor you’ll simply pay for the crown/veneer at that point, having already spent the money for this. So what ends up being more expensive in the
long run? Also, these don’t look nearly as good as crowns or veneers.
@@morales11191 so u replace them with composite again. as long as there is posibility to fix teeth without damaging them, the non invasive way would be my choice. what makes u think veeners dont break or fall??
@@sebastianconstantin5176 each case is different, so there are no blanket statements that you can make.
Patient should be well informed, as a manually inclined dentist myself I would say that I enjoy making composite restorations to the point I have to watch out for my bias carefully. It is true that some dentists do not have the manual capabilities for some procedures but there are different niches where you can always find your calling.

You'll never see that type of work in the US. They don't teach it enough in dental school. It's actually through extended or continuing education that you get to learn this - an option that any dentists can learn but it's overseas
AMAZING job and the patient's teeth look natural,!!! If someone is insecure or uncomfortable with something, they are less likely to use it. I'm sure she feels more comfortable speaking now.

Thank you for explaining this procedure doc! I've always wondered why my dentist does not recommended this treatment for my front teeth that has gaps. Turns out it wasn't the most favourable treatment. She suggested I get braces and I'm still in my 20s. Now it makes sense why!

It depends on how big your gaps are. Restoring gaps aren't for everyone. Only for minor gaps. If not a removable appliance/fixed appliance is recommended

It has many disadvantages like rubbing the sound dental for sake of restoration, secondly it will get discolored and will need regular polishing time to time, thirdly there is edentulous area distally on both side of the teeth which will result into creation of gaps again with time

I have had braces but still had two gaps so they did this about 17 years ago and I never had any problems with it.

As a nail technician, this looks exactly how I would do to make short and thin nails to look fuller and longer. That will make the nails look longer and healthier on the surface however, the real nails become thinner and weaker due to being under heavy chemical and not breathing at all

Hi Dr. Leon! It's great to see your work. I am 19years old from India and I have gaps between teeth after went for ''deep cleaning''thrice. And my teeth are genetically weak maybe, because I tried my best to keep them healthy, but after giving my best. They are just damaging and the gap between teeth are increasing which makes me to feel disgusting . Can you suggest me- 'Is there any method or any process with which I can smile without insecurity and have a healthy teeth. Please help me,Dr.leon! I have Gap like that before but they don't do that to my teeth but they do file my teeth and put bridge on it if I know that procedure I want like that ..I'm so upset 😡 to the dentist who do my procedure ..Hopefully when I go back to Philippines 🇵🇭 I want to go to your dental office and check my teeth ...Thank you Doctor for showing all your good videos I learned so much about how the other dentist don't do better fixed the teeth of their patients ..Hopefully I can watch everything or all videos before I go back to my dentist this year so I can show it to them the better way to fixed my teeth ...Bless you Doctor and more power to you ...❤❤❤
I think all dentist should charge more for the direct composite esthetic restoration. It is more time consuming, it requires artistry, and it is difficult. Veneers are easier since most of the work is done outside the mouth.

I have small gap in the molar thread like. When i eat any meat it gets lodge in between molars. And then my gums would hurt and become swolen. Is ther a fix for that..

Good wrk ...still....the rpd can cause dislodgement of the restoration of canines...and the patients usually doesn't follow instructions properly also causing dislodged restorations en masse...

Doc matanung ko lang po kung magkaanu po ang gagatusin ko sa kagaya netong ngipin plus bunot, space veneering? Uuwi po kase ako para ng sa ngiping ko ipapaayos ng tudo. May tatlo akong ngipin na wobbling(wisdom tooth) at upper and lower front tooth plus space veneer.
Pasensya na po. Marami po kasing factor pagdating sa dental treatment. Depende po ito sa lugar, clinic, pinag-aralan ng dentista, situation / case ng inyong bibig, material na gagamitin at marami pa po. Kaya wala pong fixed na price po para sa lahat.. Pasensya na po. Mas magandang magpakonsulta po kayo sa dentista para malaman nyo po. Bawal din po sa aming ethics magbanggit ng presyo in public po. Maraming salamat po..
